I have been following the T300 forum for awhile and have seen quite a few complaining of different issues, from just not working, won't recognize systems, parts breaking, FFB issues and poor service when trying to solve issues. However, most really like the wheel. I also realize that some of these posts don't hold much merit. I have not been able to find much in the way of negative comments on the G29. My main beef is having to spend the money on the G29 when it really is not that much different to the 27. I still have to get over to Lobban's place to try out the T300. If I really like it then it's going to make the decision hard. I know he hasn't had any issues at all with his.Can someone shed some light as to what problems the T300 is having? I'm not enamored one bit by the G29 but I will say that my G27 is still going strong after 3 years of (ab)use.
My take on it: I'm convinced the T300 is a better feeling wheel. Belts vs. gears, not surprising the belts are going to be smoother. But, I've enjoyed the heck out of my G27, and love the stories I've heard about replacement when it fails. I'm more interested in having a reliable product with solid customer support backing it up, than having the very best feeling product. I'd be so worried about breaking the Thrustmaster and having to deal with the nightmare of getting it fixed, not to mention the month of downtime, that I don't think I'd flog it like I do my G27. I beat my G27 like it owes me money!I have been following the T300 forum for awhile and have seen quite a few complaining of different issues, from just not working, won't recognize systems, parts breaking, FFB issues and poor service when trying to solve issues. Heads up, @AJ
A milestone, (or should I say Kilometerstone), morning with the car. 2000 Golf TDI, we bought it in '05 with 85,000 km on it. Wife put most of the mileage on it commuting to work.
That's 310,686 miles for you US folks. I know, we could have wiped the dust off the lens, lol.

@aerolite here is something new to consider, a price drop of the G29

To be brutal, with the shifter becoming an after the fact accessory, the G29 shouldn't cost more than $250.00. It doesn't appear Logitech spent anything on R&D, just paid somebody to glue all the buttons from the DFGT onto a G27 and called it a G29. Deplorable.I can't help but be slightly pi$$ed that the "sale" price of $286.55 should have been the actual retail price. That "sale" price should be $100 off the $286.
"Hey long time, loyal, G27 user.... Here's our new wheel that's basically the same as the one you already have but costs waaaay more, comes without a shifter and still uses the same internals they used back in the 80's"

Senior Marketing 🤬 :censored:er @ Logitech
or try to take money from me when the components from my G27 (that I bought last year) are basicly the same as the new G29 but you don't want me to use the same wheel so you can improve your sector of the market share! But if it ain't broke, don't fix it (or mess with it by trying to upgrade it apparently)
Yeah but don't increase the price when nothing has been done AND there is no shifterBut if it ain't broke, don't fix it (or mess with it by trying to upgrade it apparently)

YesDoes anyone know if you use the g27 shifter with the g29, do the buttons on the g27 shifter still work?
