I had everyone line up for a cool photo but forgot to save the replay so these will have to do :)

It wasn't hours. It was more like days. It took a steward roughly four hours to watch both Ascari races from every driver per division. We had 8 divisions at that time so 32 man hours and nothing is even scored yet. Once that was done, the stewards had to review and score each IR. As the summary states, there were 381 reviews completed that week. Figure in the time to download all the replays and transfer them to the PS3 and then watch and score them all and the time put in was more than it was worth to run the combo.

The rules have already been relaxed from the white line as there are no rumble strips there. Stay off the grass, simple as that. 19 people did it.
I was one of those 19 and god i was scared all week thinking that im going to get a penalty somewhere.

I recently contacted Thrustmaster about service concerns before I purchase a T300 wheel. If anyone is interested, I've put the conversation in the spoiler. Pretty generic response that didn't give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. The G29 may be in my future.

My original message:

Hello, I'm in the market for a new racing wheel and your T300RS is the ideal candidate for my needs. What worries me is the reported lack of support if your product fails. I sim-race in an online league and am part of a large community. I have heard first hand about the difficulty in getting an broken wheel repaired or replaced. There seems to be slow responses to inquiries, repeated attempts at troubleshooting that drag on for weeks, and then finally a very slow and expensive (shipping costs) turnaround once the wheel is serviced or replaced. Has Thrustmaster made any recent changes to address these issues? Are you working to streamline the warranty process? Customer service is very important to me, and Thrustmaster's reputation is not great right now. Thank you, I look forward to your response.

Regarding your T300RS.

We thank you for your interest in Thrustmaster products and for reaching us regarding your inquiry.

The RMA processes are all standardized and the time frame may vary from situation to situation depending on various factors, like: delivery time (which is the given by the speed with which the courier service is delivering the parcels), nature of the problem encountered with the unit, etc.

Another fact is the amount of work with the technical service. All cases are processed in line of arrival - there are no priorities - and consequently a repair procedure can vary from a few hours to several days.

We are constantly trying to improve the overall aspect of our technical service but controlling all these factors is very difficult.
We rest at your disposal for any other inquiries.

Wtf man, your customer service agent's name was Octavian. OCTAVIAN!

If I knew that sort of thing was going to be acceptable today, I would have named my son something like :
Napoleon Alexander Barca or something like that...

(Had to go with Barca over Hannibal because of that stupid fictional serial killer hijacking the name.)

i can't tell you all how proud i am of kansas city, with reports that there were upwards of 800,000 people downtown yesterday for the royals parade and the kcpd reported 3,just THREE arrests. alot of people getting towed for improper parking, but all in all it was a wonderful day

For our fellow Canadians, the G29 is currently 420$ Free shipping on Newegg // It's 330$ on newegg.com if you buy 2.
Tks for the heads up, $419 + free shipping best deal so far.
330 US = 430 cnd plus you'd have to pay shipping.
I've been having really hard time deciding between g29 and t300 but the 300 seems to be having fair share of problems. My DFGT and G27 have been problem free, other than original wandering of 27 but it was easy fix.

I haven't heard about other people's T300 issues but mine had a random screw fall out of the paddle shifter, but I didn't notice until it started failing to upshift quite often. Now the screw is back in place, but it still occasionally fails to upshift or just feels mushier than downshifts.

Just based on that post earlier in the week about Thrustmaster's customer service I will definitely be buying a Logitech G29. When I can afford to buy that, a PS4, and Project Cars all at once.

Does the G27 shifter work with the G29? The G29 shifter accessory only has an H-Pad and can't do sequential. Me no likey.

Can someone shed some light as to what problems the T300 is having?

I have had my T300 since June. I use to use a G27 and I thought that was a good wheel. The pedals from the G27 are better than the pedals from the T300, hands down. I use my G27 pedals with the T300. The T300 base unit is much smoother and offers better force feedback than the G27. Where the T300 earns the gold medal, the The G29 is the same wheel as the G27 just cost more and now you have to pay extra for the shifter.

Another way to put it, the G29 is just the standard Ford Mustang , while the T300 is the envy of all, the Shelby Ford Mustang GT350.

The T300 has been used daily without any issues until this week. The wheel will no longer calibrate properly upon startup. I have started the return process today.

Does this mean I will jump on the bandwagon and trash the T300 ? No way.

If your Shelby Mustang GT350 broke down, would you now want to trade it in for a regular Mustang? Of course not, You just schld an appointment, get it fixed and then continue to smile when get behind the wheel.

I can speak from experience in dealing with Thrustmaster support.

After phoning customer support, you spent most of the call trying to understand the person on the other end (whose native language is not english). Eventually they ask for your email address and the coversation moves there. The trouble shooting phase lasts as long as it takes for you to jump through their hoops as you must prove to them the product is broken. Eventually by sending video proof.

I know this because a couple of months after a got my T300, my wheel base cratered internally. Thrustmaster support would not accept my word that it was broken, I had to send them a video of the problem. It took a bit
to figure out how to video the problem. But once they saw it, they replaced it. Note, I had to ship the old one to their repair center in Canada (they paid shipping), but the replacement came from somewhere in the states.

My current problems are intermittent mushy upshifts and a gas pedal that has a weak spring. How on earth do you video weak spring tension?

Aside from the troubles, the T300 has been a great wheel. It's much smoother than my old DS3!
