None of my biz really, not on the BoD, didn't race but, what's to discuss? All divisions but D1 are ineligible so, top 3 in D1 get to pick combos.

Now to open up a bigger can. What would happen if all divisions became ineligible? :mischievous:

Using that logic , is it safe to assume that everybody who raced in a non compliant division would have their "most hated favorite" combo vote thrown out as well?

I would say it's never safe to assume. Don't think there are any policies disallowing votes except to break ties in voting and for races not raced. I would reckon the voting will stand as is but hey, I ain't in a position to make those decisions. Will find out sometime tonight how it shakes out.

scores and votes are in congrats to @Drewspeed for a 94 point win with all the poles .Hope I got it right will do data when I get home Thanks for the help @msgt-sd please let me know if I did it right
Perfect! ;)

Question..... While leading a race with one lap too go last night I received a giant lag spike from another car that sent me careening off track in spectacular "highlight reel" fashion!!!
I managed to recover for a 2nd place finish, but obviously bummed out.
For future reference what if anything should be done, or do we just call it catastrophic failure. I don't see how you can blame anyone for what happened so is there any point in filing an IR....which I'm not gonna do btw.
Was curious also does the person who caused the lag see anything unusual or even know what's happened?

I used to think that about myself too, you have to work harder on making sure your eyes are looking in the right places to make up for it. You have to give yourself as much time to react as possible by knowing where to look and what to look for. My reaction times are... around average, or slightly below...
Thanks Connor,
That's why I turned off the shift indicator, to focus more on the track and use the environment to find my braking marks but i still have a lot to gain in consistency.

I was horrible tonight in both races in the Formula GT car. I kept spinning out and no way to get control of the vehicle. Hoping that much slower cars , at least one or so is picked in the new combo's since we did race 3 different race cars tonight.
Yes, hope so
I even had to pit in both races because my tires worn out too early

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Formula Gran Turismo (Racing: Medium) at Red Bull Ring (9 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @ConnorWolf wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Opel Astra V8 Coupé (Opel Team Phoenix) '00 (Racing: Hard) at Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit (8 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @msgt-sd gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Nicktune so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Are you serious? Divisions are ineligible just because of a lobby setup that had no effect on the outcome of the race? How about a warning?

I'm seriously reconsidering my future with Snail.....

You want a warning. Go through my post history and see how many times I have posted a reminder for all hosts to review the lobby settings. Those warnings didn't do any good.

I understand the reasoning behind the penalties. What I am not impressed by the inconsistency of the ruling or the manner of which this week progressed.

Seems to me a butt hurt individual with a vendetta went looking for a score to settle.

Or just the fact that he explained to people what needs to get done and they didn't do it. Whether intentional or not it's a blatant disregard for the rules and some form of punishment is required. Just one week guys, learn from it and move on.

ha-ha. You win D1 and say that your reaction times are slightly below normal! Do you understand what normal means;)

Here is a really good article on how your brain processes reactions.

https://backyardbrains.com/experiments/reactiontime

"When a soccer player realizes the ball is blistering towards him, there is visual information that has to be processed and decisions regarding a correct course of action. The brain then needs to send many signals to various muscles. Feet begin to move, hands might travel in front of the face, and eyes may close shut, along with many more processes. This is the work of many neurons as well as numerous systems and circuits in the brain, and what's more, you can train and enhance your skill through practice. This is how you get better at sports over time."

"The average reaction time for humans is 0.25 seconds to a visual stimulus, 0.17 for an audio stimulus, and 0.15 seconds for a touch stimulus."

I just got .266 avg reaction time on this test, and yeah I was trying my hardest :P Pretty average.

In racing, you have to learn where to look and what to look for so your brain knows what information its supposed to be responding to. If you can make sure you're looking for the right things, your reaction times will greatly improve with practice.

The main difference is not that I have alien reaction times, but that I've been playing racing sims since I was 8 (I'm 26).. and with a wheel for 12 years.

ALSO I'm about to get online to test some combos if anyone wants to join me in the club lobby. But my TV is more broken than it was before :(

My average was .215, with a best of .203 - Better than average. I guess my excuse is lack of practice :)
