To the BoD and @zer05ive
I understand that we are a Spec league; and I also understand that official practice night has always been ran as Public Rooms even when the ability to have private lounges so that the general public can race with us. Asking the general public that they cannot race because they may not have the right car is against the original thought of recruiting. I have always allowed general public to race in skaboards if they want as long as it fits the restrictions. The BoP setting pretty much sets every car on equal terms.

In my view, we should continue trying to keep recruiting at its maximum and stop asking the public to run X on practice lobbies bearing the SnailRacing.Org title. Sometimes we come off as AzZes for asking this, and the sound/mic doesn't help address it. Just my own 2 cents on the matter.
Thanks for bringing this up. Keep in mind that we're still trying to figure out how to best manage racing in public rooms since we don't have private lounges anymore (at least for now). I think this is one of the reasons that things are a little more strict right now. We're still trying to get it right for Sunday nights, so Thursday nights are now more important in terms of being a dress rehearsal for our official league races.

Good luck Jay. Be sure to keep notes on any weird head things and check up with your Dr. Head injuries are nothing to take lightly and you may not have any symptoms for months or longer down the line.
On the bright side, a controller is very low impact, toy should have lots of time to race when they send ya home.

anybody practicing later tonight? I'm gonna need some seat time, as I wasn't able to get on last night.

I am planning to hosting open practice for all of us Snails.. .but wont kick the outsiders running skateboards, surfboards, rollerskates, . As long as it has wheels and they are clean. They are all welcome.

Come ready and prepared to Race. I am not much for hot lapping so I start the races rather quickly. Add me on PSN; I'll have Party Chat open for comms.

I would very much like to join up on this... I am available most Sunday evenings and have been looking for clean races with a bit more "organization" than I've had elsewhere. I only found out about this a few minutes ago from Reddit... not sure I can make the Friday night practices on such short notice, but i'll try.

PSN: smthng
Region: East Coast

Would like to join just to do some practice on GTS. It is pretty rare that I am online on Sunday evening when SNAIL races are held but maybe someday..

PSN = SoCaLLbeer
Region = West Coast USA
Technically you don't have to join just to practice. Follow the thread and follow the rules and your are always welcome to join a practice session.
Official practice is on Thursday but there are often rooms opened by one of us

Thanks - do the room names have a label like "SNAIL" ?

All the custom liveries are so awesome. GT really hit a home run with that one. It's too bad they basically shunned organized leagues altogether...

I am worried that sport mode is an attempt to take control of the league aspect of gran turismo and kaz wants to break up the independent leagues that have made gran turismo what it is and given it the replayability that has kept the brand alive all these years. Sport mode is cool and all but racing against the same people week in and week out develops a familiarity among the drivers and a level of respect that produces amazing competition that a race against random whoevers can never touch. Hope i am wrong and a future update "fixes" the community aspect of sport but this seems intentional to be honest.

I don't thinks he' trying to break us up. If that were the case, we would have no open lobby option at all. I will agree he put some lobby features on the back burner to push his gtsport agenda. I think gtsport is his way of introducing casual/entry level new racers to the potential quality of races that us and other organized leagues experience racing among one another. GTSport is not a perfect system or formula, but it is a great attempt at creating a quality "sit down and race" option. If anything, I think that GTSport, could create a draw and a larger interest in organized sim racing. Don' be surprised to see Snail's number grow exponentially larger around or after Christmas time. Our league is perfect for preparation for the GTSport Championships. I see Snail numbers ballooning in the coming months. That' my take.
