Gutter, you should never have backed out for someone else. As for the disruption.......we’ll, let’s just say someone won’t be racing with us anymore.

I have to give a shout out and an apology to Potvinsuks, who inadvertently got left out of my invites the other night. It was totally by accident. You are the kind of guy we like in Lobanaro and I missed all of your messages while smoking my warmup. Sorry.
 
It’s cool, GT needed in and I know he is stuck on call some Monday nights. I feel his pain; I remember getting called out last second just as the racing was about to start. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I’m sure we’ll all be on between now and then and maybe we can do some impromptu races (@bear and @GT maybe some vintage cars and tracks, hint hint!).

I would if I was going to be in town... but I am off for 10 days now, so I'll probably be running a lot of vintage stuff.

I plan on getting trashed and finding out the tolerance of the company harassment policy, but hopefully will be setting up some vintage rooms by 2AM EST. Hopefully a bit earlier tomorrow.

I saw that @bear, I appreciate it. I got back in right after the second race had just started so I jumped out for a few and got sidetracked. I’ll see you on Monday night in January for sure, unless we meet up online before then. I just looked at my Project Cars profile and I’m coming up on 48 hours of playing it. Then I saw that some of you get almost that amount of play time in just a week or two! No wonder you guys are so fast. I also checked my wheel settings and they somehow changed since I set them when I first got PCars 2. My deadzones were set at 11% or higher, and a bunch of other settings were way out of whack. It’s amazing how the car handles better when the settings are where they should be.

Thank you for the kind words Mikee :).. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it here too.

It was an awkward situation to begin with. I mean, who would find it comfortable, to message a friend and to have that friend tell another friend to leave the room so he may race :rolleyes: :lol:. That's why I couldn't make a big stink about it and decided to force myself to see the positive side of it.. I know many of you have been racing with one another for a long time and realize some had been away for a while but were going to be making an appearance that night, so I took that into consideration. :)

It just stunk that apparently, some of those guys left the race pre-maturely :lol:.

I have a beauty livery for a GR4 car..its just trumps face plastered all over it, for when mike talks about yet more US politics.
 
Do many of you guys run in Wednesday or Thursday night leagues? It looks like I'm going to be busy every night from now until Tuesday. But I'd love to maybe get together for an unofficial night (with at least some kind of planned event, as opposed to just random cars & tracks with short-cutting allowed). I thought maybe Wednesday or Thursday night would be good. I just hate the idea of waiting two more weeks to get together :(. Just brainstorming. If anyone has any ideas - just shout it out. 👍

I'll likely be available next Wednesday AND Thursday, but it will be later. As far as planned event, let's do A three-track series of F1 cars: Lotus 72 at classic Silverstone, classic Hockenheim and classic Monza. Then another night the Lotus 78 at Long Beach, Imola and Brands Hatch.

Man, am I the only Skrooge? This holiday nonsense needs to get dialed back - like a lot! There's not enough days in a year to do this EVERY year. I usually do all my shopping online, and about a month early. But I think starting with this next season, I'm going to do two years worth of shopping at once. Now I just need to find a way to get out of all of these get-togethers. It's friggin' exhausting.

Smcinnis has a Tuesday night league, Camel has a Wednesday night league, Alex a thursday night league. Dont know of any friday night leagues, but I think old bear probably does. As for unofficial nights with actual rules... are you kidding me? LOLZBURG

That's funny, I was actually thinking it would be cool to dive a racev in BnW . At least the replay look cool .
The only black and white Fridays elthe wife knows about are the ones with Jerome and Bubba...
 
Well, step number one of returning to my rig was accomplished yesterday. It was a bit of a struggle but I managed to get in and out. It was good that no one was there to see it!
Throttle is no problem but I left foot brake. I can press the brake pedal all the way down but it’s lifting my foot off the pedal completely that is the issue. Mike mentioned there is a setting that you can set free play in pedal before it engages but I am not aware of that. Will check it out because that might just help. Having to brake with my right foot would still be better than having to use the controller, but after all these years of left foot braking it would be strange indeed.
Hopefully I can get Denise to haul all my stuff back out to my man cave today so I can get everything hooked back up and give it a go.

That’s awesome Aero!! The adjustment your looking for is the brake pedal dead zone adjustment. I’ve always just put it at zero so I’m not sure how it works exactly.
 
Congrats Aero. Glad to see you back in the saddle. Like Alex said, it’s the dead zone adjustment. I (re) set mine to 2% so if my foot is lightly resting on the brake pedal it gives me a little leeway so the pedal doesn’t accidentally get activated. Somehow my dead zones and other wheel adjustments were way off after originally being set, so now I know to go in and check them periodically. There are also steering and clutch dead zones that can be set, too.
 
Thanks, yes I do know those settings, I’ll make some adjustments and see how it goes. If I can rest my foot on the brake just slightly then that will make things a lot easier.
 
Awesome news Aero. As others said it's the Brake...Dead Zone adjustment (In-game setting). "0"= No dead zone of course, and as you increase the adjustment number the more leeway or freeplay before the brake is engaged. That should make it easier for you using the left foot.

IF per chance you end up deciding to use only the right foot for both accelerator and brake pedals please keep that left foot out of the way lest you forget and plunk that heavy right foot of yours on the poor left foot and damage it. You knows that elephant foot not exactly light.
