I just got home with this beauty. I'll be on in 5. It's heavy somewhere around 5 pounds when loaded. But it's hard to put down. :dopey::cool::D

i want to join

@racer420,

Thanks for expressing interest in the SNAIL World Road Racing Challenge series!

1. To complete your registration I ask that you please send myself (PSN: Lessenjr), @Schmiggz (PSN:Schmiggz) & @McTrucker (PSN: McTrucker000) PSN friend requests. We run all of our club races in private lobbies so you’ll need an invitation to enter our events.

2. Start a new GTP private conversation with myself entitled "New WRC Driver". There we can communicate further on necessary steps to get you racing!

3. Lastly, please request membership into the SNAIL WRC Playstation Network Community. (search “snail”). This community serves to help facilitate club communications, especially on race night.

· With the WRC being a division of SNAIL Racing, you are required to understand and follow ALL World Road Racing Challenge policies and procedures. Take some time to thoroughly read our OLR and associated expectations (located in the OP) prior to your first race.

· All ongoing club information can be found at the top of this thread and includes our current active drivers, race schedule, combo voting and current season point standings. The official Tuesday race schedule will typically be posted early on Saturdays so keep your eyes on the thread for the updates.

· Make NEW FRIENDS!

· Race HARD!

· Have FUN!

If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask.

As a general rule you don't gain time by running wide on corners though. It can happen but it's pretty rare I'd suspect.
Which is why I might not have lifted some of the times. Thinking I gained no advantage, lifting would be a mute point.

@Mike Lobban If you get @aerolite to buy my plane ticket I'll give him whatever he wants ;)

That is true, but the issue with OOB is coming back onto the track when another driver is behind you.

"14: Re-entering to the track after running off:

A:
It is the responsibility of the car returning to the track to ensure there are no collisions so that no other drivers have to maneuver or brake suddenly to allow you to resume racing. If there's a chance of a collision, wait and be patient as other drivers have the right of way."

If you have gone off and are still maintaining a good speed OOB, you have obviously come into the corner too fast. Without losing much time you can re-enter track and continue on. But when another car is right behind you and has to take action, meaning a quick maneuver to leave the racing line to avoid contact, then the above is the rule and you need to lift to avoid making the following driver take any evasive action.

There might not be any advantage gained, but if the following driver has to do as stated above, a driver is in violation of the rules. Basically, if you go OOB with a driver behind you, you should automatically lift and let them by, then come back onto the track, it's as simple as that.

And btw, it is Lobban you would have to visit, the bet winnings he discussed were all his idea, I only want cash, lol.

@Lessen
I will not be racing in July, vacation and Tuesday night commitments.

And you guys won't have to listen to my OOB rants, I won't say anymore when I return either.
Have a great month of racing.

I'm taking July off from all league racing. I'm having a tough time forcing myself to practice and don't want to be a hazard.
Racing with you guys is a lot of fun and you can bet I'll be back:cheers:

Yes, of course the dangerous reentry rules always apply.

And repeated wide exits oob at a corner should be penalized as the driver plainly does not respect track boundaries. And inside cutting should be penalized unless there was some major curb obstructing the car's progress.

Seriously just do what I do. I jump on at about 8:20 and run about 10-15mins of familiarity laps at each track before joining the room.
