The only problem I am having with the car is the chicane just before the starting line straight.

If it's not any problem, try turning early into the first turn of the chicane. Should set you up to soar through the other just fine.

Got home, ate while watching the beginning of Rocky IV (which, if you may or may not have noticed, inspired my name here as well as my PSN ID 
) Now I need a nap as my meds are kicking in making me quite drowsy. I might pop on late tonight or the next few days though.
