➊ Turtle Racing League - FLEX | Saturday Night Racing | JOIN TODAY!Open

I have a headset too, but they stand right beside me, or talk to me anyway. I think they enjoy seeing me spin out.

I would like to join!
GTP: Mitchman9
PSN: mitchman9
Color: Red Car with Black wheels.
Number: 72
I probably won't be able to make it until race 4 or 5

Welcome to TRL @Mitchman9 tell your friends too 👍
If we get enough racers we can create Division 2 and maybe I can get a podium finsh this season :dopey: WOOHOO! Probably not :ouch: LOL

I used to think that as well but then I realized the kids just don't understand how competitive league racing is compared to a public lobby. That one tiny lil mistake can cost me the HOUR LONG RACE. As for my wife she just doesn't give poop! Although, she recently joined a SIM Bowling league. Hopefully she'll now have more consideration for my league races. Probably not :ouch:

Division 2 might be closer than you think. If we would have had a 17th driver trying to get in on time last week we might have a division 2 today. Furthermore, once we get familiar with our members driving ability and have some final results to look at we'll know who to put where. Hopefully after the next race or two we can get that done. Actually, we might have 3 divisions, SprintCupChamp1 might have his own. lol That being said, I/we appreciate you promoting the league and encourage our other members to do same. Thanks! 👍

It's not necessarily "one tiny lil mistake", it's "one tiny lil mistake" more than the other guy.

RACE-3.jpg

This week will be iffy for me. I don't know if I'll be able to attend the race this week because I'll be taking a trip to Texas for Christmas Break.

what are the times on the other tracks? i haven't been on at all as I've been busy. it's up in the air whether i'll be free this saturday.

i wont have a chance to practice, so 'i'll be in the back doing donuts and playing in the kitty litter with Progar if i can make the races. 👍

3 tracks and a loose as hell car? Who's got the time

Alright Members: i figure this is the best place to put this. And since there is no race this weekend, let discussion ensue.

For those of you who have participated in 2014, we had a lot of fun and some frustrations along the way too.

see this post: https://www.gtplanet.net/gtplanet-endurance-series-announced-for-2015/

The Turtle Racing League has been officially invited to join these races next year. If we are interested, we need to accept the invites ASAP.
I will not be able to Manage the team in 2015 (at least, not alone), so that leaves a void in getting things organized and prepared for the events. It does take a lot of time and communication to do one of these and this should not be taken lightly. It will be high profile on GTPlanet next year, so that is both good and bad depending on your perspective.
So, I am putting this here for now and then perhaps the Turtle leadership will continue this conversation on an invite only conversation.

1. Should Turtle field a team for next year?

2. Would anyone desire to be the team manager to run things and keep everything organized? (not to be taken lightly, and you do not need to race to be the manager). In my experience, 1 or 2 leaders to make the final decisions works best. Otherwise, things are all over the map.

if #1 is an overwhelming YES by the membership, then we can deal with #2 and beyond later. I can accept the invite and begin the process of handing things over to a new manager. I am currently the point of contact with regards to the Organizer (AJ).

Previous Drivers: (if i am missing anyone, sorry, just doing this off the top of my head, no offense)
Dolph
Bionic
Ph1sher (involved, but did not race)
Lightning
Chocochoco
hector (now has his own GTMX team)
MicAntony
Jay*doc (did not race, but helped)
Nascarfan14 (did not race, but showed interest)

DISCUSS. :gtpflag:

Psycho, can you get in touch with Sprintcupchamp to see if he is interested or not if we field a team? I know he does not visit GTPlanet much.

i'm only getting 17.1 on willow springs. this is one of the few courses i have no interest in driving in real life. i can't seem to figure out the line on top of the boring design. i'm almost thinking of driving a car that's worth a snoot just so i can figure that out first.

i have no interest in being the manager. i already sprint race and chump race (enduros) in real life. add a woman, work and work trips, and i'm loaded. however, I'm down to drive a few times again.

I enjoyed racing in the Nurb event and would love to (without any penalty...but that's another thing) do some more. With that said, come summer, I simply don't have time to manage the team due to how busy work gets. I couldn't even find the time to race basically any of the LeMans 24 or the Spa enduro earlier this year, much less run a team during that period.

That's just me. I don't know what the rest of the Turtles want to do.

Didn't notice it wasn't this weekend. I think we should race this weekend to screw with Mic.

Managed a 1:16.8 at Willow. I agree, can't figure out why people like the track. No desire to race there IRL.
1:29.2 at Laguna, much more fun with this car than willow.
Scotch seems to help or at least it dulls the pain of lack of talent.

Mic, depending upon the dates, I may be able to help with managing, probably not driving (too slow anyway).

Hey tzracer, sorry I wasn't in the lobby, I switched over to Thursday Night Football for awhile. Both of your times will be competitive if they are anywhere near consistent. We can do some practice races on Saturday if you guys want.

No problem. Much easier to be consistent at Laguna than Willow.

It would be fun to practice on Sat.
