1.06 Update Details

Or maybe there are lots of people like me that don't care about the trophies/achievements. I play my games, probably to much, and never check what trophies i still need. I play for personal enjoyment and satisfaction, that does not include focusing on a portion of the game i probably dont care for just for digital bragging.

Not meant as an insult to those who do care.
I'm not talking about the tricky trophies that ask you to do things you normally wouldn't.
I was referring to those that require you to put in some effort, but are still in your "normal progression". For example, getting all gold in campaign etc.

Once it was in a lobby so I had to quit and restart the game but in the FIA race, I tried playing with the mode button (T300 not G29 here) and it didn’t do much so I tried to hold on and get used to it. It’s a random issue I had even prior to the update.

Sounds like your wheel has overheated. It knocks the ffb down to save the motor resulting in the steering feeling light.

Looks like the pitlane glitch is fixed - but for anyone trying to drive the actual lap for credits/XP, be warned that the new Audi is in the pack and so much better on fuel that, as soon as he gets clear sight of the track, you can almost never beat it in an N100/RSS car any more. I've had one victory from four, and he's hitting 10'5x laps now.

Also you can't win anything (talking about Cr.) if you run the "two car only endurance race".
I have just tried that and after somes hour, i've finished 2nd (obviously because only two car, the 1st was a GroupX car) and i didn't get my 1.600.000cr reward nor 10.000xp (i do care about the money, not the XP)...
Problem: what is the minimum condition to get our Cr. after a race?

"Though, there is one small caveat: an internet connection remains a requirement to save game progress."

Oh boy, I can see it now... people excited to play campaign mode offline, have a great time making progress and then shut down their PS4. Then they learn the hard way that playing offline does not equal saving offline. Why is it so hard to put game save data on the hard drive, then automatically sync with the servers at the next online connection/login?

If this has been discussed/sorted previously, please ignore... I searched and didn't find anything about this on the V1.06 update.

I was wondering the same thing. What is the point of this if we can't save progress? I'm guessing it's strictly for people that don't have an internet connection, and just need access to the features regardless that it is all for naught? Classic PD funkiness.

Clueless grrom?? PMSL

Go check my near 10 year post history (easy enough to do in my profile). GT Academy UK finalist, numerous top 10 time trial finishes in GT5/6, extensive real life kart/race/rally experience.

All I've seen from you is a picture of your hairdressers car.

Haha, I’m glad that guy was banned, cause after reading some of his posts today then I, in all probability, would have been banned too for replying with extreme profanity !

lol, You got them free ($0 to pay), now you must earn them. :-P

Yeah this is quite a problem. My current Cr. Is at 1.444.xxx but heck I am so lazy to do a grindy race because the reward is too small. Yet I have a job for tomorrow morning. Dont have time :( looking at the kids playing games I could tell "enjoy while you can".

Does not include all Gr. 4 and Gr. 3 cars I want and I also need a duplicate cars for setting up variety of liveries.

That is why in a situation like this I need a micr*WIFI ERROR* and credit c*BLACKOUT*

Has anyone else noticed slight graphical improvements on the PS4 Pro? i.e previous jaggies and scenery. Some of the walls in Tokyo, interiors and trees and mountains and gravel roads look more detailed. Has there has been some fine tuning tweaking going on or is it just me coming back to it from other games not so detailed?

When GT get a tyre model according every car category, pressure, temperature and simulated tyre flex (not only visual) call me.

Getting pressure, temperature and simulated tyre flex as a feature doesn't mean that a sim-racing game simulate it well, it's tried to be simulated... it could not only be bad or very bad implemented in isolated terms, but also bad or very bad integrated all together...

GTS misses some things but the overall simulation, feel and handling is great, more subtle and deeper than in many others "sims" IMO.

Oh yeah, that sucks.

Of course that doesn't mean because i don't have a wife and kids, it will be easier to me to get to that number.

Most probably, i will not even bother to try to get close to those numbers, as my cash is a little more than yours. (2 mill.)

I most probably wait for the GT league (next month), and see if i can get my money up, through some races with a decent amount of cash.

I hope, i would be able to do some worthwhile races over and over again, to raise my money up. ;)

Not really sure where I should post this, lots of moans and stuff about the changes already. This isn’t a moan really just an observation. Before the changes I thought (outside of a few pesky Beetles) we were really getting some good racing. Just been on a few dailies only to find consecutive lobbies full of meganes and scirroco’s. I think a side effect of making everything grippier is the gap between those kind of cars and the others has risen again. It’s an equal and fair playing field no doubt, I can easily grab a Megane and scirrocco and do well, But I found that in my Merc I’m near enough 4 seconds slower, that’s a massive gap for what is essentially supposed to be equal racing.

The very skilled and talented drivers will be able to master it but I found that a little difficult to swallow. Anyone else had a similar issue? I got pretty good (very nearly up to dr-a, sr-s), but it kinda feels like I’ve gotta start over.

This definitely sounds like a moan but it isn’t, things are changing for the positive. I’m just babbling now, someone tell me to shut up... :D

As a fellow Merc driver, this makes me sad. I haven’t raced since the update. I just did some qualifying on Nürburgring GP last night.

Don’t get me wrong, the merc feels noticeably faster to me, especially accelerating out of corners, it’s just everything else feels faster still...

You're doing good, just wait with bated breath for BoP fixes and do the following, at your discretion:

- Use the ringer cars and do your best
- Use whatever car you want and do your best

Both should help place you where you belong, really.

I'm just glad there is no Suzuki GSX-R/4 in this game

Well it certainly seems that Megane and Scirroco have benefitted more from the changes :( Last night at Interlagos my 458 was a match for them, and quite fun letting them overtake on the straight only to take it back round the twiddly bits. I beat three of them over two races. I can't see that happening with 1.06.

Lago Maggiore may be a bit less twiddly, but it still has corners, and they are quicker round them. I'm still getting used to the changes with my 458 - sure I'm not taking full advantage of the increased grip - but I'm so far off their times that I know it won't even be close.

Gr4 458 feels dull to drive, like I don't have to concentrate anything like as much as before. Unless there's some other factor unsettling the car, I can floor it with full lock coming out of corners in 3rd gear - even T4 at Maggiore, where there's a crest. (It's still faster to avoid full lock, of course, but I was testing). Maybe it wasn't 'right' before, but it certainly felt alive. :(

Did a grp3 10 lappet at Nurb GP tonight.

Put a good amount of time on to qualifying, and got just within 1s of Euro fastest, and could run within 0.3 of this consistently.

Started 3rd, behind 2 guys nearly a second quicker! and in front of a few guys within 0.5.

On lap 7, I was 5s behind 2nd, with the guy in 4th just under a second behind me.

Then he dive bombs me in to the chicane. I stay wide, but he still hits me, hard, and I end up driving over the 2nd corner, Miles off track.

Would have got a penalty for getting hit and another for going off track pre update. But rejoined and no penalty.

Same thing happens 2 laps later, and again no penalty.

Not sure if he got a penalty, but he didn't drop back after the 1st contact, though he did after the 2nd.

Good fun the 10 lap pets with tyre wear on. Something else you have to manage, and suits me as I'm good on my tyres.

This sounds exactly the same as what I’m getting, I know there’s more time to be gained from practicing in the merc, but I may as well just join the herd and practice with the Megane or scirrocco. I loved being the underdog and taking them on before, now they’re just that little bit more out of reach I feel like my best isn’t competitive enough...

I raced my RCZ Gr.3 at Nurb GP when they first put up that race and I had to relearn everything. It didn’t feel like it was the same car I had raced at Suzuka earlier. Not sure I like it when they fundamentally change the physics over a months after release.

I’ll get used to it obviously. I was slower than two days ago as I had lost all my reference points. Should be better after a few races.

It didn't take you too long to get used to it. Good run!

Did a daily race and had two issues:

  1. Half the grid was stupid Sciroccos again.
  2. I received a couple second penalty in the first set of corners and a SR hit I think? No idea why. I saved the replay and went back to watch it and saw nothing. I didn't cut a corner, I didn't bump anyone, and I didn't see anyone around me like.. ricochet off as if I was lagging. I had full connection bars as well.

That's never happened to me before. I rarely get penalized and when I do I usually know why. Didn't care about it in that daily but I would if it was an FIA race. Dropped myself to last to get rid of it.

What you do in the privacy of your own home, and on Youtube, is nothing to do with us. It only becomes something to do with us when you post a Youtube video full of you swearing on here.

Just add a language warning before the video when you post it. That's all.
Finally got a FIA race so it looks like it might be fixed with this update..if there's any bad language be warned

Gr4 or Gr3? Gr4 is almost immune to spinning in anything but the slowest corners. Haven't tried Gr3 Citroen yet, but Gr3 458 is now not much harder to drive without TCS than Gr4 458 used to be.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I can't floor the Gr.4 Citreon... but, I can get off the corner easier than other cars.

I haven't drove a Gr.3 yet that I can just floor it. I'm having to be easier on the throttle now actually

Granted, I am using a DS4. But have ASM off and TC at 2 or 1. I do have CSA on.

Just did an FIA race that went overall poorly. Been awhile since I had any issues in a race. Sorry to rprphoto, didn't think we were going to make contact, we did slightly, and then the game did the stupid bouncing thing and I nudged you harder the second time.

I got the random penalty thing again, except this time I think I know why. I guess they implemented a "No passing under Yellow" rule in this patch and I haven't seen anyone mention it? Because that is what just happened to me and there is nothing I could do about it. I passed the person that was involved because they were going slow.

So both races I've done today, this has happened. You can see in the video here how the "Yellow flag" thing comes up for one second as I'm passing him. This must've happened in my earlier race, when a bunch of people were crashing into each other in turn one and I drove through cleanly and was penalized. Wtf PD. This system can't work like this. There is more flexibility and nuance to it in real life.
