I mostly agree with the updated tire behavior. I once had trouble getting around T1 of Nurb GP in a Miata on Sports Hard, and I knew something was wrong. If part-throttle through a low speed hairpin on what should be at least summer tires could break a Miata loose like that, there would be none left on the road today. They should be grippy especially on cars like the GT3 RS and la Ferrari. They use trofeo Rs in real life which are barely road legal and are virtually racing tires. Before this update sports tires where acting like damn comforts. Spinning from 1-4th gear in a GT3 RS was stupid on sports tires. Sports tires handle much more like should in real life now.
The circuit tour part of the campaign should put gold up pretty high, it should be difficult to obtain. This was definitely way too easy, so if they made this easier, shame on them. That doesn't help anyone to become a better driver when it could have.Man....really???
The campaign mode was already the most easy of the complete saga....
Now PD has put even more grip in the cars and lowered gold request....
Now The game is in "baby noob difficulty" 🤬🤬👎
As for many of the missions... I believe that making the driver work harder to achieve gold in these bogus challenges is generally more detrimental to their driving overall.
For the most part, in order to gold these things you need to drive extremely aggressively. Passing 10 cars in 1 or 2 laps, with the grid positioning guaranteeing you meet opponents at places where passing is difficult will result in lots of unsafe moves. Of course on one hand, driving like an alien will allow you to reach gold without much unsportsmanlike conduct. But then most people can't drive that way - and so will achieve it however possible. I try to be clean, really, but generally my patience breaks down. Drive disastrously = gold = bad behavior positively reinforced.
I've been of this opinion for a long time - that these sorts of driving challenges produce rammers. Otherwise good folk used to years of this kind of dumb "racing" that is ubiquitous in GT come to race online and are a disaster. Making these challenges easier, to me, means fewer people honing the wrong skills.
