1/4 Drag: The Car Classes

I need a tune for the '02 R34. I went up against a '99 but got dominated.

And I also tried my Fully Modded Zonda R but it has too much wheelspin to do any good.

I'm more of a circuit racer than a dragster, and prefer the timer as opposed to ghosted cars. I can leave them off the line on a set time but they have better setups and blitz past me.

I have hit 151 mph in the '02 R34 Nur but it's usually when I have 50/50 torque split. Other than that, I can't keep pace.

Don't remember, he said it had something like 860hp.

F1 should have 880something. But even with that, it weighs so little that the launch sucks. Will you be on later today? I want to run your GT-R with my McLaren :)

I think an upgraded/tuned F1 might struggle against an upgraded/untuned GTR… never mind a tuned one.

…maybe there is some sort of glitch tune out there?

You do know that if another guys car has better Launch top speed may not win you the drag. and id like to see an ACR hit 165mph i dnt believe it lol

I've hit 167 with a similar tune and aftermarket wing.

Launch is a key but top speed is important too. The Subaru's are evidence of that. Epic launch but since it lacks top end it isn't the most competitive car...

ACR can hit 165, mine does :)

I've tuned it since. It still isn't top of the line though, and you have 200 more hp.

It should be up there beating GT-R's and Le Mans. HP doesn't matter if your weight is down. Same reason Enzo can out-accelerate an ACR even though it is down 100+HP

👍👍👍👍👍 to this thread! Thanks to everyone for the invaluable information. The car classes with trap speeds included is a most useful tool for which to gauge the quality of my tunes. It has proved to be nearly impossible to gauge my skill online because nearly everyone is driving Enzos, GTR's and other high end cars. I have been looking for something like this to give me a target to reach. My cars are a bit slower than the speeds you have listed, but close enough to know that I have an attainable goal. I have built 4 cars for drag thus far and have been happy with the results. Thanks to this thread I now have the motivation to keep practicing and trying to extract that little bit more out of each of my cars.

Yea, want people to start racing other cars than the GT-R and ACR. I hope this thread gives incite for that :)

Question, why is the R33's entry enlarged?

Might be a link error. Looks like it should take you here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5924828#post5924828

No it isn't a link error. I remember it was larger when I added it but I thought I fixed it. Apparently not

I've been wanting to drag street cars lol. Specifically bone azz stock muscle cars,

*Changed around some cars and added more links. Was REALLY surprised by the Cobra!
