But I must ask: Is the IRL Race Car basically going to be a recolor of the Indycars that were only available at Targets? I ask having already gotten the Danica Patrick car.

Whats up guys... greetings from South Africa.

I've been reading through this thread for the past couple weeks, but this is my first proper post. I'm really into Hot Wheels at the moment.... i guess I have phases that come and go. I had quite a few as a kid, still have all of them somewhere though, but I just recently, maybe the latter stages of last year, got back into Hot Wheels. I have +/- 150 at the mo (since i started purchasing again, and not including anything i had before last year). I'm trying to get all the good cars i like in the 2011 range at the mo, but theres quite a few 2010, 2009, 2008 and even 2007 models in the collection.

Being in SA, we dont really have the pleasure of having Wallmarts and Targets, so the amount of places where you can find good hot wheels is rather low. I have, however, found the occasional diamonds in the dirt, at the mo - a store called Clicks has suddenly come into some stock of 2011 and 2010 models. This is odd, because Clicks is more of a health and Beauty store... but i guess by any means neccessary!!!! Anyway.... i'll post more later, but heres a couple pics for the moment - ones a spread shot of all the hot wheels I've gotten over the past 4 months or so - and the other is of the same cars stacked for the mo - waiting for some storage and display place.....

Ah now that I saw your Hakosuka, I have also opened one, and given it a set of wheels that strongly resemble Watanabes. I plan on giving it correct tampos (PCMS instead of JUNS in the rear quarters, for example) and general detailing, but I'm in the process of investigating tampo creation. It should be done relatively soon.

I can't remember how many of those I found initially.... like two? But I have not seen the Hakosuka Skyline since. Maybe the collectors & scalpers are still very hot on it? At least in the States?

Update: Still no sign of Kenmeri or A-Team. Might hit K-Mart over the weekend, as one toy from Cars 2 movie I need for my nephew I think might be K-Mart exclusive!

We actually had quite a few of those green galardos across different stores - my gf actuall got me one when she was in Cape Town. I also have a yellow one as well. As for the Skylines and the A-Team van - not even a sniff on this side. I'm hoping that the Christmas season will bring an influx of GOOD hot wheels! Right now our shelves are stocked with mediocre 2010 models and 2011 models i already have. I picked up a 2011 white 63 Ford Mustang 2 Concept on the way to work this morning. Its good to see stores are stocking their shelves - but i hope its with good stuff!

Bar the super olds 422 which I found a few weeks ago (also found the skyline gt-s but it isn't in the picture as I already boxed it away) I found all these at 2 shops I was driving past and had a funny feeling I would find something worth getting. No a-team van but very pleased with the rest.

In the local super market.
That's the good thing about stores here. A couple of them carry Siku's.

The bad thing is the price which is quite outrageous.

4.49&#8364; for the Siku and 1.79&#8364; for the Hot Wheels so I only get what I really like nowadays.
