Did I hear mention of an Oldsmobile?

Iv'e only just realised, this car would make a perfect! base for a custom 'Scoot' Mazda RX7. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Harry. đź‘Ť

You didn't let me down, Harry. :lol:đź‘Ť I don't recall seeing you post this one before. Maybe I just don't remember.

I tricked you; I posted it a few days ago in the package - it was the one I traded for during Christmas.
The photos of the loose car I posted were taken a few minutes before I posted them since you guys were talking Oldsmobiles.
It was due for opening anyway.

I'm fascinated by the whole 'anime' thing on it.
Not a good car for customisation since I think one would like to hold on to the original livery.

Mine came with a base split in two. That's gotta be it.
 I found the pic of it. Mine has bunch of lights attached to the thing. P.S. Considering my luck with the Chinese sellers, mine very well could come in with the whole car split in two.
TLV needs more sporty cars. RX-7, NSX, Silvia, GT-R's, etc, etc.

I would love to see TLV make more 90's cars. Such as the Nissan Cefiro, Toyota Celsior, Honda Beat, etc. etc. :D
And that would be consistent with their trend. đź‘Ť
"Looks at pack, sees number 40"

Bloody hell, you're right! Although the number is in a horizontal angle to the pack, and there is also a "F 44 /" next to it, there is a 40 in there. Good tip. đź‘Ť
We've all been there. :D
Boy that really does look the goods. Those two tanker trucks, Delta and oversteer Mazda as well. Excellent stuff bud. đź‘Ť
Thanks Jarrod!

I did cherry pick the angle when shooting the rear of the Oversteer Miata. The view is bit off with those bulky taillights. Such shame, as they've done some fine job on the rest of the car!

Never mind that, Harry. Make sure to lock all your doors tonight. Someone wants your Aurora, and Dr.Nessy may not wait around for you to mail the car to him.

Er, I know Tomica does the quirky, but I am not sure if they'd go for Mr. Bean's Mini...

And that would be consistent with their trend. đź‘Ť

And I am perfectly ok with this too, I mean who else is currently planning on the release of a Toyota Century scale model? May they keep doing a great job coming up with cars I have never heard of, plenty of learning experiences there. :)đź‘Ť

We've all been there. :D

Well I haven't, not until now I mean. Guess that does show that I'm still a noob when it comes to this HW business, eh? Also, do you dig the Tesla?

And didn't you see me cursing you on the post with the pictures? Curse you and your obliviousness! And your beautiful Crown!

They can produce couple hundred thousands of those. They would sellout in an instant!

Kyosho either just released it, or announced it(can't remember which) as well. :P Someone needs to release the original Century though, not that new one without much personality.

They are cool, especially for Mystery Model. đź‘Ť

I don't know how I missed that, but I'm gonna have to check this out. Thank.... you?

I didn't even see the livery, just the bodylines of the car.

It definitely would make a good custom of one of these:

How do you know? This ain't Lupin's Fiat 500, you know! It's a whole different ballgame (and you know about those)... Jokes aside, I dunno, is Mr. Bean popular in Japan?

Ah, that so? Guess the old one should also get released for the sake of fairness, it is a classic car. But just the fact that it's getting a release makes it that bit cooler.

Yay, you approve it! :D That's a top mark right there, at least I managed to get an interesting HW car for you all to see. đź‘Ť

You could see that as a sign of the high value of the thing (the thing being that black Crown), or you could just see it as a sign of me wanting to steal it and keep it for life. Your choice.

Also, I think @photonrider needs to be careful about some crazy Brit heading for his house with a paint stripper in hand. It's just a hunch of mine...

@Niku Driver HC - First of all....... Mini PWNS Fiat. :P

It's not so much about the Mr. Beans, but Tomica Limited Vintage's take on the Mini would be epic. I can't help but to imagine how this tiny little car in real life would look in the accurate & detailed TLV 1/64 scale. Other than that, I would still like to see these & also I cry about the lack of this car in 1/64:
109-3024_ToyotaSoarerZ10.jpg

Toyota Soarer - I think Konami made them for while, Kyosho too, but they are not easy to come by. Like with the cars suggested by @MedigoFlame, this car would be consistent with the TLV-Neo lineup.

I'm a Hot Wheels noob. For official approval, you need to seek Cano. I'd refer you to @R1600Turbo, but I think he's retired.

How dare y... Oh right, I do actually like the Mini more than the Fiat, except of course when we're talking about Lupin the III, because that show (and its Fiat) is awesome and I'll not accept anyone telling me otherwise.

Well, Tomica did do BMWs and Mercs in the past, could we expect a Mini from them? They'd have to ask BMW for the license first...

I'd love to see moar Soarers and Supras, imagine that one in the photo done with the same wheels on a 1\64 scale... Not to mention it fits the TLV modus operandi. I'd dig seeing more eighties cars, and that fits the bill.

Well, asking @Cano would be a wise idea too. When you see it, what do you think of it? Neat ride?

Yes! TLV shoud totally do a Mini one day but in the meantime Mr Bean's Mini
needs to be added to the Dream Tomica lineup asap. I'd buy one in an instant. :embarrassed: Digging that Soarer you posted too, especially in that colour scheme.

I still need this.

Totally agreed on the Dream Tomica. Also, they also need this Nissan/Datsun:
1979-1983%20s110%20nissan%20silvia%202000%20ZSE-X%20front.jpg

And now I do need it as well. Thank you for making my dream purchase list even longer, man.

That Jigen on top of the car takes the whole cake... Talk about a collector item.

Also, is that a Nissan Leopard, by any chance?

Edit: Never mind, it is a Silvia. Still a neat choice.

Mud flaps vs no mud flaps. Thick tires vs (what looks more like) street wheels. Antenna vs no antenna. No intercooler print vs intercooler print. Tall lights vs slimmer lights, shorter body vs longer body.

FYI I screwed up the window decal on the CM's. Sorry, Makinen!

O_o ah? what? What are we talking about here? I kinda got lost in the sea of words that this thread becomes every so often.

They don't:

80's release, still Japan made. Pics don't do it justice, I have one very near mint and the casting is quite delicate, with separate-piece tail and headlamps and bare-metal base. No premium line but near-premium price because old-Japan-Tomica.

One page back, I posted my latest HW purchase. Scroll down a bit and you will see it.

Ah, the Tesla. Pass, I will. Even when new I think I only bought it to, you know, have it, but it's as interesting to me as a door stop. Sorry dude

Ah, there is an interesting one I found a few months ago, a Speed Machine of that one for a buck at a fleamarket. As soon as I arrived home I destroyed it so I could have it's mint wheels. Put the car together again with some normal wheels I had lying around and sold it for 50 cents at the club meeting đź‘Ť

Oh well, it was worth a shot. Guess something else tickles your fancy as far as HWs are concerned.

Interesting bit about the Speed Machine, though.

@MedigoFlame - Nice find, Kevin. Forgot all about that one. I used to have it on my eBay watch list for long time, but that is the best pic of it I've seen so far. đź‘Ť

Last two cars from my shipment:

Car-Nel 1/64 Nissan Skyline KPGC110

Just like with the Hokosuka I got last month, really rough around the edges. My impression: Classic case of biting off more than you can chew. If you don't have the Kyosho Skylines, these may be OK for you. Certainly not worth $20.

TLV NEO Nissan IDx Nismo(Tokyo & North America)

And now I do need it as well. Thank you for making my dream purchase list even longer, man.
List getting too long? Welcome to the club. j/k

Carisma looks much gooder & balanced. Yes, much gooder.

Agree to disagree. I have the Tomica Limited version(note to others: not "Vintage" or "TLVs"), so I know what you mean.

Old Tomicas are charming, but for me, they are different animal, completely.

Ah, didn't even know there was a TL version of this. I absolutely agree with you on this, they have a unique charm, but they're still toy cars. TLs are premium versions of those (pics of that btw, I'd love to see it in Limited guise), and TLVs are just in a completely damned other level.

Still not that big of a fan of the regular Freeflow IDX, but the Nismo one is nice. Kind of prefer the North American grill too.
