Ah, didn't even know there was a TL version of this. I absolutely agree with you on this, they have a unique charm, but they're still toy cars. TLs are premium versions of those (pics of that btw, I'd love to see it in Limited guise), and TLVs are just in a completely damned other level.
I'm not trying to sell you the car, but this was the quickest way. I completely agree on Tomica vs TL vs TLV. 👍
Probably gonna make a 510 and an IDx Nismo one of my first few TLVs behind the Alto.
510s are the best. THE BEST!
Still not that big of a fan of the regular Freeflow IDX, but the Nismo one is nice. Kind of prefer the North American grill too.
On the Freeflow, I prefer the North American grille. On the NISMO, Tokyo.
Still waiting for stuff from eBay :/
We can start this club, too.

Carisma looks much gooder & balanced. Yes, much gooder.

I absolutely agree. The SS.2, the second batch of cars by CM's are pretty shabby. It looks like their manufacturing process hasn't been as refined as their later releases (goes without saying). For starters, you can see there's a top coat of clear paint that isn't even smooth. The ones we're familiar with don't look like there's any clear coating of any kind; base coat, print on tampos, done. The castings themselves have imperfections near the mold lines. The Galant looked real nasty.

Some of the others aren't bad. Some of them turned out really good.

(see the unsmooth highlights on the front fender?)

Could've got at least another buck or two with it. Speed Machines suckers pay good money for the Tesla.

Over here it was a year-long peg warmer, nobody really paid attention to it. And it being torn appart, no one's gonna give me more. Eh, maybe a buck for it

Also, nice CM's lately dude 👍

Waiting on that greenlight jeep + trailer, auto world gt40 and mustang that I all bought from one seller Dec 23.

Waiting on a Kyosho Beads (my first Kyosho at all) I bought a week ago.

And waiting for a Hot Wheels 100% (my first of those) which I bought yesterday. Understandably that's not here yet lol.

Who knows, if you hung onto it for a couple more years, someone may be desperate enough to pay a cheap meal for the body alone! 💡

I didn't notice this until a while ago, but aside from the secret car (if there even is one), I managed to buy all the SS.2 Mitsubishis. This was not called for. The Evo 5 was the one I wanted most out of the entire set. Pics will come at its pace.

As for CM's in general, there's not much left to find. I'm passing on the Escorts, rest of the Deltas, Mazdas, Nissans and most of the Subarus. My greatest mission will be to find a decent looking '98-'99 Impreza WRC... and I ain't ready to give in to kuwa****a's looney prices. I fell prey to that one time already.

Waiting on this, waiting on that-

Waiting on a Kyosho Beads.

Yus.

@AOS- I think I ordered similar Lancer in that CM's lot I have coming. Damn it.

As long as you didn't buy from AOS, they'll be there soon. too soon Andy? lol
You know it's funny you mention that. Not TLV though but Tomica's new "premium" line.
Nice find. 👍 It looks like they did bring back the "Tomica Limited" after all, under a new name.

That RX-7 might have been interesting if it wasn't so cartoon looking.

Yeah, it doesn't look quite right that one does it? Still the GTR and Lotus look pretty good.

Enough TLV talk. Aoshima becomes the theme on Lamley tomorrow:
Damn. Looking forward to that. 👍

I love the aoshimo's, I bought a little red hako with big flares on watanabe's a couple of years back but it's only small. Don't see many for sale thankfully or I'd be pretty damn broke.

TLV NEO Nissan IDx Nismo(Tokyo & North America)

A6!!!!!!! I said you weren't helpinggggggggg!!!! Two IDxs!? Wasn't one enough for you!?

(Angry) jokes aside, damm man, those have to be one of the best modern TLVs ever made. Yes, they're also one of the most modern (year-wise) cars ever made, and they're not even production cars (yet) but its popularity caused Tomica to bite the bullet again and create Nismo R35 models. The fact that this car single-handledly let Tomica to get out of their confort zone and go modern is amazing enough on its own, let alone the R35 becoming a thing And we all know how those will look like...

Are there non-beads of the #22 and #23 Clarion R33's?

Either way, I'm blown away by the detail on the beads.

Especially given what I paid :)

I don't think there are non-Beads versions of any racing Skyline, from old to new. @AOS- can clarify. And yes, the detailing is pretty absurd.

The one to Australia arrived exactly 2 months after I sent it out. No word on the one to Brunei, and I'm confident the one to South Korea has not yet arrived either. That buyer was the most understanding of them all. All the ones to the States have arrived, even though some of them don't check their emails to confirm if their stuff arrived. The guy from Mexico has not responded ever since he opened a case.
