Whenever I find them, yes. You see, in the 70s and 80s Tomica brought here their whole line as a competition to the high-price Hot Wheels cars, and went away when the boxes were retired and the "Pocket Cars" blisters appeared (about mid-80s), so I was too little at the time to pick up some in their heyday.

you can still find vintage Tomicas here and there, sometimes at premium prices. Current-line tomicas are not my thing, I dont really like the new castings as much as I LOVE the 70s and 80s castings, I know of only one place that sells the new ones here, but they go for like usd12, so NO.

When I find vintage Tomicas I for sure grab them, I've got a couple of minty ones for a good price (10usd at most) but most of the vintage, hard to find ones command usd20+ prices, so it's a bitter pill to swallow. I've also found vintage ones in flea markets for 50 cents (F1 cars) so... yeah, you can say I get them whenever I can. look:

In this picture, the Sillohuete Skyline behind the mint blown Camaro and the F1 cars (minus the black UOP one, which is Polistil) are vintage Tomicas:

blue van here is vintage Tomica, minty:

in here, both the Le Mans Renault Alpine and the Martini Porsche both are Tomicas, the Porsche was a blister pull.

so, I'd LOVE to have more, but they are too expensive to really get into them at this moment.

wow man, i love your tomica cars, especially the martini porsche and renault alpine.

I have lots more but they are very very rough. I always grab them so I can restore them later. Same with Hot Wheels, Majorettes and Matchbox/Lesney cars, I've picked up a lot that are beat up to death, the plan is to restore them in the near future. I've got like 100 projects waiting, so that should keep me quite busy this whole year. I promise to post before-and-aft pictures.

There we go I finally got around to updating with pictures.
First of is a deal I got. 1€ for each of these, which is a bargain for siku(although there are HW and majorette in there too)
First up is a BMW 5er. Another one, as I already have one, but it's a BMW and I couldn't just let it go could I?

The next one is yet another siku BMW, this one being a car I have been eyeing for quite a while now, its the 6er and its basically mint. Have yet to find a scratch. It beats the 3€ + price tag I would pay for it at the store.

I also got a racing golf, but it is beat up. :/
Still a nice one

Also got a majorette Honda NSX from the 1€ lot
Don't like the color though and the casting is not that great either, but I have been looking for this car.

I got some more for 1€, but they arent anything special.

I also bought a Hot Wheels ferrari 250 GTO recently.

It is stunning
But I do have my gripes, such as the twisted front axle, the dust specs in the paint and not being able to paint the headlights. I mean if you can paint the taillights, then paint the headlights too.

Also got a T2 bus from Matchbox

And last thing I would like to show is 4 penny cars, that I recently found in a box.
I got 2 alfa 33's. One has busted rear wheels, as they came unstuck from the little hook, that held it in place and the other has cracked plastic.

2nd penny is a renault alpine.

Picked these up tonight. My WalMart super center either had a really old box that they found in the back and put them on the pegs, or someone returned a bunch of old cars. The first car is one of many 2007 cars that were hanging out tonight.

- Ford GTX-1 (2007)
- Custom Beetle (Goodyear tires)
- Firebird 400 (Goodyear tires)
- Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4
- Viper SRT-10 ACR (white)

NO EFFFING WAY @ THE PENNYS!!!! Man, those things, do you know how rare and scarce they are? you hit BIG with those. I only have one penny and it is one of my most pized cars, an Osi Bisiluro. And it is in way worse shape than those you posted. Take good care of them now, and if you ever want to part with them, I raise my hand (:

Also, awesome deal on the cheap Sikus! Those were usd5 in here!!!

of the hot wheels, I REALLY like the goodyear-tired Firebird. Hope it makes it here soon.

As for me, today E-Bay arrived. Man, I cannot tell you how much win there is stored in these containers. pictures soon.

Man that Goodyear tire Custom Beetle looks so much better than the regular version I have. I'm thinking of doing an axle swap with one of the rubber tire ones I have, or maybe I'll try the Goodyear Pass'n Gasser ones I have.

I'd be customizing more but my dad took his drill back so now I have no way of getting the rivets out. I was working on painting my twinmill black, got it completely down to bare metal with just sanding (looked pretty cool actually), but on my last coat something got into it so I have to strip it again. Might just find some aircraft stripper and do it the lazy way, the problem being I have no money.

it's better to throw them into some paint remover, because as much as you sand there will always be some material left and you'll also remove material off the car -trust me, been there done that.

Seriously?
I knew they are quite scarce. Well you certainly made my day. I will definately put them somewhere on display. After closer inspection. They are even bigger beauties than I thought.
I especially like, that the sticker on the renault alpine is still in tact.

They've re-released a bunch of cars with the Goodyear tires. The Firebird and the Beetle are the only two I really wanted. I have yet to find the Scirocco racer. Starting to piss me off, the car has been out for at least a couple months.

Apparently, my daughter really likes those Hot Wheels cars (I have no clue where that is coming from :sly:), so this is what she picked at the toy store:

From left to right:

'64 Continental
'09 Corvette ZR1
Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR
'69 Mercury Cougar Eliminator
'69 Dodge Coronet Super Bee

Atleast she has a good taste in cars  My sister always picks out the weirdest cars hotwheels make and gets my mum to buy them for her. I really like the orange coronet, and I've got the cougar and the lincoln. 👍

Cheers, Cougar23

^^^ I've got that one in that color, and a silver/blue wheels combo.

Wow that's got to look nice!! I'll try to get some more if I have a chance this weekend ;)

Sheesh NLxAROSA, that Viper and the Coronet Super Bee look real nice!!!

here is some recent stuff I got at the local club's bimonthly gathering:

hws106.jpg

The 2001 TH Rodger Dodger (black, flames, big HEMI pokig out of the ENTIRE car) had escaped me since day one, it finally fell. Ditto for the 2008 SuperTH 77 Trans Am, freaking car finally came to me. The TH T-Bolt was a trade for an uglier STH (Drift King), and the JL Camaro was my only purchase of the day, a steal in here at usd4. The 59 Cadoo is a very rare here in Mexico K-Mart exclusive color, was a gift by some friend.

Went to the local stores tonight, and my Super WalMart is still putting out cars from 2007. Where the hell they got them is beyond me. But it's pissing me off. Nothing else at the other stores. I will hit both WalMarts again on Monday morning, because there are many guys on the HotWheels collectors forums talking about shipments that have February 1st street dates.

Okay, here's what I got last week:

And here's what I got yesterday:

Finally found the Saleen, but still didn't find the Citroen C4 or the Scirocco:(

Can't go wrong with that. Mine is a silver version with a black stripe on the back.
But I think yours looks much nicer.
Well let me rephrase that. You're daughters one

Decided it's time for some snow pictures.

Greycap: The cougar comes in orange and blue as far as I know. I haven't seen any other colours yet. :)

Well, I most definitely have a dark purple one now. Apparently the very same colour as in NLxAROSA's post.

It is a maisto. Very well done, except that the axles feel flimsy.
I got it as a gift from Berlin. :D

Ah, I knew I had seen those wheels somewhere, I just could not make it out... intresting to say the least.

I hit both WalMarts tonight, as well as our only Target. Both WalMart's have nearly empty pegs and have had nearly empty pegs for a couple weeks now. Target is fairly full, but it's all old stuff. What is wrong with my town?

Thought you guys might be interested in this and wanted to post it up. Pictures of the 2010 HotWheels Mainline poster, with some interesting cars on it. (and ones I will definitely be purchasing!)
