My new-born collection isn't too big or varied... '67 Shelby GT500 in dark blue (as pictured above), '70 Pontiac GTO convertible in light blue, '66 Ford Fairlane GT in dark metallic red and a '69 Dodge Coronet Super Bee in yellow. Muscle car fan, me? :D

Good to see you like the right type of cars Greycap and NLxAROSA. I've got the shelby, the plymouth cuda in pink (now customised with a big donk ), the red fairlane GT and a customised dodge coronet amongst other things. :) All great castings of great cars :)

Today I got a black ferrari GTO from Hot wheels
It is really stunning, except for the fact, that the rear transparent glass has some sort of strange error. It looks like it was scratched from the inside. And the axle is bent (front right)
Pics will be up, when I find my camera.

Correction, my Coronet seems to be orange after all. Whatever. :P If I can still find a Cuda, a Cougar in some other color than screaming purple (left it in the store for that very reason) and, by some serious luck, a good looking Charger I'll be very happy.

And why I like these cars... they were "real", individual designs, unlike the Pokémon mobiles of today.

I just can't believe I missed this thread whatsoever. I am an avid collector of cars, specially old ones. I open all my stuff, tough. I really like to do some burnouts on the table with my cars, haha

I am no completist at all, I just get what I like, so there may be enormous holes in my collection, but I have what I really like. also, I collect every make that has good castings, though I'm on a very limited budget, but hey, I make do.

Here is a rather small portion of my collection as it used to look like in my previous appartment:
carrillos026small.jpg

carrillos026small.jpg

What? why, of course I'll show you stand by stand:

In here we have some treasure hunts past and present, I really like the 59 Cadillac. The BP Fuel truck is Lesney, the Esso one, Husky, and the small, tooned R5 Turbo is from Kenner I think. Ladder firetruck is Maorette.
carrillos028small.jpg

Stuff here is a little more intresting, the racing Porsche is a blister-pull Tomica, as well as the LeMans Renault. The Cunningham and other hot rods are HW Hall of Fame cars, the Duesenberg and Bugatti, and the Trans Am cars are 100% Hot Wheels, and some more treasure hunts for good measure.
carrillos029small.jpg

blue tow truck is Playart, and here are my very few redlines, originals from back in the day are the Mantis, the Rolls and some other that are missing in this picture, the Red Baron and Paddy Wagon are 25th anniversary repros. The GXW Concept van has real rider tires and is also a blister pull. Here are some Jadas and HW Ultra Hots.
carrillos030small.jpg

Over here, more Jadas (just the ones I really like) and HW Ultrahots (The very few that made it to Mexico, only 12 were brought here officially), the already mentioned Siku 300 SL and the Traction Avant also from Siku, a bunch of muscle cars from Greenlight and Johny Lightning's Little Red Wagon:
carrillos031small.jpg

1970 Super Bee from Hot Wheels Showcase series with a 34 Ford Park n' Plates from the 80s, the Revolver Motorsports drift car with steerable front wheels (I dont remember who does these, but they have a lot of D1GP cars with steerable front wheels and amazing detail), the Pierson Brothers 34 Ford Bonnevile coupe from Hot Wheels 100%, and some Greenlights:
carrillos062small.jpg

The Greenlights because they are awesome, they are the first series of the Barret Jackson collection, all 6 were $20 inclusing shipping off e-bay! I have never seen a better casting of a 70 'Cuda. there is also the Gullwing, opened up.
carrillos063small.jpg

The next stand includes both Chaparrals from the 90s, missing is their Redline brother which escaped me the other day, white enamel and all, three blown Camaros, a Nascar Fairmont from Hot Wheels, a Tomica Sillohuete Skyline, some F1 cars from Tomica and Polistil (italy), and some classic cars from Hot Wheels.
carrillos036small.jpg

Highlights here include my mexican Hot Wheels. If you are not a hardcore Hot Wheels fan you may not know that there were mexican-made Hot Wheels in the 80s, which have some unique caracteristics from other hot wheels made around the world, specially in color schemes and interior colours, as well as the windows. In here we see the trash truck, the SVO mustang, the 40 Ford, the twin-front-wheel Lickety Six, the tan Cadillac Seville, the Pacer and the Dixie Challenger, all from Mexico. I have many more but they are not in that good of a condition. We also see the Old # 5 fire truck, some classics like the Bugatti and Talbot and a Majorette Mercedes truck.
carrillos037small.jpg

Highlights of this bunch are the Yatming SM Citroen, an incredibly well done casting, also, the turbo Saab and Merdeces truck from Majorette, and some heavy vehicles from hot wheels.
carrillos038small.jpg

Here, some Hot Wheels Classics before I got any more (never came to mexican stores), and a bunch of oldies like the way difficult Greyhound bus, the water cannon Airport Rescue, a Greased Gremlin, and the most famous hot wheels, the First Edition Drag Bus.
carrillos039small.jpg

The other stand has a Monaco cop car from Yatming, a Supra from Hot Wheels and a Tomica sport van (blue), also from Yatming, the Trans Am was a usd.50 score, and two HW Auburns.
carrillos041small.jpg

Treasure Hunt Ferrari 512TR and pickup truck, a Yatming 3d gen Camaro,a Can Am Shadow and a racing Ferrari from Hot Wheels in french blue color, the classic Mustang ragtop with wide walls, the HW rat rod series of 2001 sans the 49 Ford which my wife has (yeah, she collects too), and the Chrysler Atlatic concept.
carrillos042small.jpg

The P4 and sharknose Ferrari from Hot Wheels, a Morgan from Majorette, at last with a top and in decent shape, both Batmobiles and the mid-90s Speed-Racer car, a 1957 chevy gasser from Matchbox, a trans-amesque Mustang from HW, a rare Chrysler from Majorette, and the first edition HW Miata.
carrillos043small.jpg

The 944 Porsche is from Yatming, we also see a mid-70s BMW 7-series and a Matra Simca Baghheera from Majorette, and also a classic Packard from Tomica (red), the weird dump truck is Playart, and the pro-street Nova, Maisto.
carrillos044small.jpg

The Turbo BMW concept is Majorette and has gullwing-opening doors, the hardcore Mini is hot wheels, as are all the other with the exception of the Penny 50s F1 car at the last row. Yes, that little guy is me at 6, the girl is my wife at like 16 and at 11.
carrillos045small.jpg

In the stands with the glass doors there be muscle cars! most of them are somewhat new, but they are all awesome. We have a cameo 59 Cadillac, a basic-wheel 442, the FE 70 Chevelle, a Lesney Javelin in minty shape, and a couple Mopars.
carrillos046small.jpg

the Charger Daytona, 69 Judge, and the 70 Camaro and 70 El Camino from Matcbox are awesome, and so is the JL Cragar-ladden Nova. The 1:43 71 GTX is an unknown make, but it's pretty well done, cost me usd3.
carrillos047small.jpg

70 Judge from Matchbox, the Stingray race car, a 70 Super Bird and a clay bus that a friend brought me from Colombia.
carrillos051small.jpg

orange 70 Road Runner and wide white split window Vette, and also two versions of the 67 Nova.
carrillos050small.jpg

Matchbox Shebly GT350, a mid.engine V8 Corvair from Hot Wheels, and HWs modernization of a 69 Camaro ang 67 Pontiac GTO:
carrillos049small.jpg

In the lowest level, there are random cars and some hot rods:
an array of 32 and 40 fords (bare-zamac roadster is favorite) along with the Morris gasser van, and some altereds.
carrillos052small.jpg

in here we have the classic 32 coupe with flames, a 40 Ford street rod, and a pro-mod Willys and 40 Ford pickup, all from Hot Wheels. The 1:43 Matra F1 racer cost me usd2.
carrillos053small.jpg

race cars, as the Rod Millen Pikes Peak cars, D-Type jag, GT1 Porsche from Matchbox and CLK from hot Wheels, twin classic Ferraris and a Cunningham and Vette C2R graces it all:
carrillos055small.jpg

badass GT3 is matchbox, Countach is Hot Wheels, Impala lowriders are also Hot Wheels, as well as a space-age racing minivan from Hot Wheels:
carrillos054small.jpg

uuffff, long. Sadly, the stands were part of the appartment so they were left behind. Today all of this rests in boxes until I get to my definitive house and get some display areas done in acrilyc or glass or who knows. I miss displaying them, but oh well, time will come.

I'll post more later on, I have way more of cours and my collection has grown almost exponentially in the past couple years. E-Bay is a fantastic thing.

i'll sure susbcribe to this.

in a flea market, as I said in the post, I dont really remember what brand are those, but they have several D1GP cars with steerable front wheels. it cost me usd5

Edit: here you go.

http://store.jackadeal.com/d1grprle1dis.html

They are Hot Works 1:64 cars. In the link you can see the 86 in its full glory. It's pretty cool.

IMG_7793.jpg

Skyline, what are those Trans Am cars? The Camaro and the Mustang up ther above all the hanging blisters? Are they slot cars? what make? info dude, info. I need me some of those.

Damn Cano... I see more than a few cars I'd love to have in my collection.

EDIT: I'll take the lot thanks.

Greycap: The cougar comes in orange and blue as far as I know. I haven't seen any other colours yet. :)

Cheers, Cougar23

thanks Cougar, even so, I still lack a lot of cars. I know guys who have in excess of 15000 cars just 1:64 scale. It's a cheap hobby to a level, but once you get really serious, it's a freaking money pit.

And the Cougar also came out in purple.

Whow Cano... Just all of a sudden my brain goes blank  What a collection you got there!!

I'll be trying to get some more today if I can...

thanks, it's actually pretty basic, I dont have so many premium stuff as I'd like, because, well, it's expensive. 'Sides, I'd like to get so many old hot wheels I missed, then move on to the new premium stuff.

The rest of my collection looks more or less like this:
cole001.jpg

altough it has changed a lot, it is now way bigger, this picture is from like 4 years ago.

I open all my stuff, tough....
I am no completist at all, I just get what I like, so there may be enormous holes in my collection, but I have what I really like....
I can relate to that.
I am glad to say I have some cars you have too.
But i'd love to have that BMW 7-series.

i have little hot wheels maybe around 100 old ones but i have been collecting the new speed machine models like a mad man, literally...i spent 70$ in the mall at a store selling match boxes and hot wheels SM models.... speaking of which the new Match box cars have amazing detail, so i have been collecting them by the dozens recently, my collection is at 390 new matchbox cars including a veyron and scc ultimate areo, Porsche 99F, Zonda R, Mclaren F1 and LM, and alot more...that i couldn't believe were on the shelves.. searched all over for them. i also collect Import tuner series cars, as they do not sell them any more at some stores they are a rare find, so far only some mall stores and hobby lobby still cary them this goes for the johny lighting tuner series, as of right now i can say i have about 60 in all, ...as they never made any more after that. last one i got was the Raybrig NSX and HIN SRT-4.

Lately i got in the japanese 1'64 scale cars....they are awesome as well... and include some cars that i was only able to drive in GT4.... including...A

HONDA CITY TURBO...And TOYOTA 2000 GT... GOD...<3

TOMICA...seriously rules...

Tomica.jpg

I got these from my uncle who was stationed in okinawa.

Ok...one more for good measure...

Got two new cars, going to post a pic of them later on.

@TorqueHappenS08:

That Honda Civic and the GT-R look alittle like Hot wheels cars the way the wheels look,

Cano, you and I share roughly 80% of the same collection, save for your "country specials". Only correction I can spot: The red Charger Daytona is in fact a Hot Wheels piece, the First Editions released in 1999. You can best tell by the beige interior and the gold wheels in the reflection. ;) I had to hold my breath for a sec at the viewing of your Hot Wheels Superbird also. I almost forgot it was released as its own separate piece a few years back. The only one Hot Wheels did before that was the Hot Wheels "Preferred" series, which had two NASCAR-spec Superbirds (Yellow and Blue, Real Riders Tires). I have the blue one, as pictured below.

Aah, I know it is a Hot Wheels (in fact I have been looking for ages for the lace wheeled one instead of the crap directionals mine has) and I think there was a confussion, there is a coma after "daytona", then I go on mentioning the Matchbox cars. sorry, english not bein' my main language sometimes plays bad to me, sometimes I cannot find the best way to write down what I want to say.

And I have been chasing some of those preferred series for a while also, they never came to Mexico so e-bay it is... problem is, I always find older hot wheels in E-Bay and end up buying those by the handful. Last month I spent usd200 more or less just en e-bay, plus the new hot wheels and matchbox 2010 lineups in here PLUS what I always dig up in flea markets. I need to stop doing this -_-

oh, and I envy the guy with the Tomicas... It'd be green-envying if they were models from the 70s or 80s... but as they stand now, its only envy, haha

that's because the GTR is a Hot Wheels car with some PR wheels swapped; the Type R i s a tomica with HW FTE Wheels swapped. I like both.

Ah, understood now. Yeah, I have the one with the "Lace" wheels, as you put it. I was stupid and removed it from the box.
