Crazy money =/= good sellers.

Crazy money meaning lots of bid. Lots of bids meaning there are demanding people to get their hands on one.

Often times, this is the case with Hot Wheels, but not Kyosho.

Whenever I come across auctions on the VWs, I don't see them go as wild as HW VWs. Again, I've spent tons of time on eBay finding VW Kyoshos with no bids in the past.

A very odd thing . . .
Not so odd to Kar Kulture peeps, though - the Twin Mill has a very rich history; I'll go into it at length later.

You should see the real thing.

I've heard of the real Twin Mill, it's quite the popular HW car. Seeing it in person? That might take a while...

As for the James Bond cars that @R1600Turbo posted, I'd defintely go for that white Espirit. Just to have a matching pair with my red one, and because it's simply beautiful. I wouldn't mind getting the other cars, but my main goal would be the Lotus.

Most of those cars are just re-releases from the mainline, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them have a bit more detail. We'll have to wait and see.

Could be, since they are part of a special series, you could expect some additional touching-up to the already existing mainline castings. One can hope, right?

Some of you might be interested in this set.

Whooo. Nice. Is this Wal-Mart's new exclusive set? Most interested in the Mustang and the Lincoln since i don't have those at all, plus that Lincoln looks perfect in black .

Moving on...

Hw Bentley Continental- have it in red. Took forever to buy it. Once I did I was much happier than I expected with it, so I bought the blue one immediately. Want it in plain white.
Hw Super volt- absolutely despised this in red, absolutely adore it in silver. Oddly light car.

IMAG0834_1_zpsf776f390.jpg~320x480

47 Chevy fleetline "Cool Classic" - this is actually the third version I've seen of this car, but the first one I actually bought. It's simple deco and unusual color choice got me to buy it. Iv previously passed on a pop culture one, and a road trippin one.

IMAG0832_1_zpsc8d0a7dd.jpg~320x480
Mbx 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI - Subaru is ones of my favorite brands so I always buy them. This is probably the best impreza I've got, despite me not liking police cars.

Mbx Toyota Land Crusier- been looking for this one. Land cruisers are always cool to me. From civilian to military they've been used everywhere. There's even one I see out here on occasion, that's an ice cream truck.

So the Subaru sparked a question with me.
Is there any vehicle brand or special car you will buy no matter how good or bad the model is?
I always buy Subaru and Porsche. Anything skyline (especially Kenmeri) and always the Mazda RX-7

Ah, I was thinking it might have been Jada because of the wheels. Wasn't entirely sure though. Thanks for the answer. 👍

Edit: AmiAmi order arrived today. And @Niku Driver HC, just for you. I took more than one picture of each model this time. :P

Can't believe how small this Honda is. Almost make the Suzuki Alto look huge in comparison. :embarrassed:

Finally, this happened to arrive today as well. :D

Could you send me one of those Supras?

Why thank you, Spacegoat. It's always good to someone follow a hint of mine. :D

Figured I owed you.
The Supra's rims are messing with me a bit,

Yeah, the rims let them down, big time. It's a real shame because I can't fault the rest of the car at all.
And the size must be crazy to see in person, since it manages to be smaller than an Alto (which by itself is already super small).

Really shocked me when I pulled it out of it's box. Took this pic, this morning to try and give a better understanding of just how small the thing is. (Apologies for my shadow in the corner.)

including that Ford Sierra (or is it a Falcon?)

Falcon. It's an (I believe) Australian only release(?) V8 Supercar Matchbox did in the late 90's. They also did generic ones like this and this. But these three were the only ones modeled after actual V8 Supercar race cars.

I can send you a picture of one? :P No? Okay.

Seriously, they're an excellent model. If you can get your hands on one, do it. Highly recommended. 👍

Like actually buy it off you

Well, my preferred payment would be you giving me those TLVs, buuut this is good enough too.

Then again, the rest of the car itself is traditional TLV quality (which basically means it's very, very good), so it's a minor offense to be honest. But yes, the rims could've been done a bit better, they do let the rest of the set down a bit.

Well damm, that is truly a small 1/64 car. It's incredible to see its proportions being so tiny, even next to other TLV cars. Imagine if you put next to a Hino bus, or one of TLVs fire trucks... That would be a wacky sight for sure.

Ah, they are Falcons. At least one of my guesses was right. To be fair, I like the real period liveries, generic liveries on real race cars don't always work for me. That Castrol Holden is also looking pretty good, I like that livery. I am a bit of a Holden fan, but that's doesn't detract me from liking the Falcon as well. 👍

Oh god, wouldn't it just be? I can just imagine how much one of those would dwarf the poor little Honda.
hsv
a) How much do vital-ish organs sell for?

!
hsv
b) Would it be enough to cover the cost of those?

I don't know what it would work out to in pounds but they're still pretty reasonable priced on eBay, like $15-$20 or so before shipping.

I'll post these in the other thread too. Got three models from Pasteiners on Woodward

Spark 918, minichamps F1, and white box Lamborghini. More will come after I'm done with work. The 918 was $79 the others were $35.

It's with me now.

Nice. Passed on the Century myself when it came up for order but looking some pics on the Lamley group blog, a little while back. It does look excellent, especially the wheels. Looking forward to seeing your pics. 👍

You aren't some kind of 'stealth' mod are you? :nervous:
Then, again, your modding is quite visible. I'm so glad you weren't around when these were posted:

Hi Guys! Here's some of my Micros, as well as 1/64's:

Yup. I`ve had that like forever.

It is. Pure tactile pleasure, too.

Yeeeeahh! The Reventon gets heavy use. Its actually an R/C car. and shouldn`t even be in here. My bad. Anyway - its going to be heavily modded soon. I may just take your advice, though . . .;)

I`ve managed to browse 25 pages already - wow! What great collections in here! Still a long way to go before I catch up with you guys.

I`m expecting a huge haul for Father`s day. Most everybody I know in real life knows Im nuts about wheels.

Thought I`d make a few more pics for you:

A CORGI!

The Maisto`s have screws. Easy to mod! Can even change the tires (tyres):

Bye for now. Will be back soon with more pix!
Thanks for sharing!
H.

I'll remove the picture, though, if it offends you and, make sure it ends up in the most appropriate discussion. 👍

@photonrider

Wow, thanks for going to all that trouble to find that out for me! I didn't realise you would have to fish it out of 'the die cast storage facility', sorry about that! :)

No apology needed - respect for a guy who has been in here since page #1. :)
Many have moved on for one reason or another, whether burnt out or just losing interest or maybe even 'outgrowing' the passion, but we are here to stay.
Unfortunately by page #2 it became a 'customising' thread; by page #3 the drills were out and boring.
Isn't it amazing how many 'likes' @SVX got in his OP from 'collectors'?
About seven I think, starting with me.

It's a cool looking concept car 👍 I like how Maisto did quite a few 1:64 concepts.

Talking about Maisto's concept cars - yeah - they have the most weird concept cars ever and a range of them. I have models by them that I cannot find made by any other manufacturer - weird cars that I thought were fantasy cars till I flip them over and see that it is a car from a real automaker. :boggled:
I have a boxful of Maistos - and I'll get around to showing them here soon.
Don't worry - we'll go 'lalalalala' when the Maisto-bashers dive in.
Maisto, like Hot wheels also got into the fantasy car market, and made stuff like this:

IMG_6390_zps5vthyzaz.jpg

Those exposed front wheels remind me of what they did with the Mazda LM55.

I know you are as keen on MBXs as I am, too - and I still have a vast collection to show off but I'll do that in the appropriate place, as well as place a few of the 1:64s (and related small-scale sizes) in here.

Okay - on to some fun - the kind we used to have in here:
A 'no prize' for anyone who guesses the car that came with this set, and the manufacturer:

No googling!
There's a clue in the pic.

More epic Greenlights because awesomeness. Typically I will scour eBay once a week using the keyword "Greenlight" in the diecast section, sort to newest listed and see if there's anything I haven't seen before. This Charger popped up last time while searching and my jaw dropped when I saw it. The same seller had the flat black Chevelle too (#19 of 528 made) which is also stunning. Seller is awesome too, told me to message him next purchase with the secret keyword he gave me in the box and he'll take $5 off my next purchase of $10 or more. Highly recommend him. (cykod on eBay)

Anyway....
