Nice collection indeed, sonygamer, don't see those often around here. Quite a lot of variety too.

In the meantime, if you want to have a closer look at their presence in Tokyo, ohiko2000 has recently uploaded a video, showcasing all the existing variants of Tomica Limited Vintage Neo's Nissan 2020 VGT model as well as TLV Neo's latest R35 GT-Rs;

Now this is how a true quality Tomica looks, regardless of your love or hate for the 2020's design...

Indeed. Thanks Niku! :) Too bad it's not my collection, I would be happy to have all of those!

In other news, speaking of collection, I asked Jack if he had more of the Hot Wheels Planet Micro vehicles and he doesn't have any at the place, but he said he had some somewhere that he didn't care for. Their is a chance I may get more of them and I am glad because I want a lot more of them little things! :D I really don't have enough of them in my collection.

Haven't forgotten about that red El Dorado of course. I asked him what the lowest he would go on it and he said $22 (Price tag being $25). I am still considering it, but it's still a tad over my budget, but I have a strategy for getting it that will hopefully work.

Bought 3 cars many years ago to save for customs.

For many years these cars have never moved.

Today I sold 3 cards for $12. Estimated amount spent to purchase them: $10.63.

Today's profit: $1.37.

Get rich or die trying.

Passed by the store, and I saw these new Kyoshos:

Here's one pretty car of the 5-pack. Everything else is even prettier:

My moustache of magnificent silver is fit for a king.

Kids definitely love a milk moustache decal on their lambos!

And bestest one of them all- the one and only one I really wanted out of the entire set:

When we want our products to be unique and memorable

Do you think the new technology and direction that die-cast car-makers are taking is going to be the death of the mattel products as worthy collectibles, Andy? Or is it a different ballgame altogether?

The new range of 1:64s available are quite stunning - and I find collectors collect them for quite different reasons from what the Hot Wheel's collector collects them for.
For instance I buy the more expensive models of NASCAR because of the actual racing and the racers themselves. Same with some of the rally cars, and race cars and so on - they are collectible to me because of the racing heritage behind them. Same with VGT-influenced 1:64 models from the premium makers. In that light Mattel seems to make only kiddie toys.

Oh man, dat green 997 GT2..... Love it along with the black and yellow Stage 3 Esprit V8..👍

I gotta find that 5 car pack.

And don't get me started with the Nissan VGT "R36" 2020 from Tomica. I hope they do the BMW and the Mazda LM55 next.

Hey guys, I'm still alive, breathing, not infected with a mutating disease, disappeared of the earth or anything like that.

Sorry if I wasn't present enough recently. I have a heavy schedule recently from college, job searching, helping out the family, and planning new projects to endure etc... But now I have some time to wind down and get back into some projects and catch up on GT Planet. During this time when I was absent the collection has grown since I gotten back to collecting. But the HW and MBX cars are in heavy conflict to model cars, especially the smaller, but highly detailed 1:24s lurking in stores. :scared::lol:

So what's new guys? And did anyone checkout the Hot Wheels 007 cars in Walmart yet?

Hey, you're back! We missed you!

As long as Mattel continues to produce what they've been producing, I think there will likely continue to be avid collectors who are loyal to continuing their collection. I could've stopped collecting Hot Wheels, but the one main reason why I still do is the thought that it'd be a waste.... or rather a "may as well" response I give when I see a new release on pegs.

Somehow the thought of stopping now leaving collections incomplete would be unfulfilling, so I still continue working on them. The quality and popularity don't seem to influence what cars I aim for, but it does seem like I have more reasons (or excuses) to continue collecting fantasy castings because its unpopularity would not garner any potential resale value should I want to rid of it in the future.

Most of us here have influenced each other to up our standards. On other places, there are still plenty of folks who get hyped up over the same few castings every time, even if they're not the prettiest ones out there. There are some folks who are loyal to the brand because they started with HW and either want collection consistency or just straight up don't know about other brands.

No supers, people did find regulars which were the Corvette I didn't/ couldn't find a regular Hudson. The only one I couldn't find either was the blue 15 challenger. Didn't have enough money to get the red DB5, and blue Urus. It was a B case.

Man, that looks great. Quite tempted but I've already got a few things on order for this month already.

Really good to hear from you again mate. 👍

Thanks! I've decided to to cut more cars off the list some time ago and 24 Ours is one of them.

What's special about snowflake editions anyhow?

Konami 1:64 - Mazda Cosmo Sport (L10B)

After the purchase, I immediately noticed that the middle part of the front chrome bumper strip has a huge crack and was split into two. Hence, I snipped off that part. It now has a Dino 246-ish front end...

Comparing this to the Kyosho 1:64 model I also have, I can say that this Konami casting is better.
