I don't know which line of Racing Champion was called the "Mint", but they are supposedly coming back, along with Johnny Lightning. I saw it here. It'll be interesting to see what they are planning! :)
That's awesome. :D

I just wish my only local TRU didn't take away every possible 1:64 that wasn't HW or MB. Well there is another local TRU but it's in a pretty bad area (crime).

My local TRU has been slowly shrinking their collectible diecast section. Hardly any Greenlights anymore. They did recently get in some Corgi James Bond Aston's and some really cool classic fire trucks (neither are 1/64) but I hope they don't stop carrying them altogether.

Mine went from a great selection of everything to only basic HWs and MBs in a matter of weeks.

Jesus, Johnny. Where do you live!?

I whine about my Toys R Us, but they do also carry lot of Greenlight, some M2 Machines, etc.

I saw those(Bond, also fire engines). SO cool, but if it's not 1/64, I almost always pass. My store's been doing real good on GL, but they seemed to have stopped carrying Auto World. What are they thinking...... :grumpy:

Both are 30 miles, 45 mins away from me but in opposite directions. That's as local as it gets for me as far as the store chain in question goes.

Immature me is sad that isn't a typo.

Anyway, here's an update on my end. I finally got off my butt and attached that acrylic sheet to the case of fire trucks. It has finally been sealed.

You can tell just just how ecstatic I am about this.

What you probably couldn't tell was how I wrote just twice just now.

Thanks!

I got the Sports 800...... I've been wanting the red one for some time, but for $8.50, I said #$@% it. I'll settle for silver at that price. Digging your pick ups, too. đź‘Ť TLVs, especially, but I do like your white Porsche. Had I not already placed three separate orders(Kyosho did come on much later), I'd have picked that one up myself!
:P

I figured at those prices they'd be snatched. Some of the cars weren't listed as "On Sale," so it took a little bit of a search. Took @AOS-'s advice on waiting on the Bentley's (really wish they'd have more colors) for a lower price. I've had a weird soft spot for current model Bentley's for some reason...

Come back and find members arguing about brands. :indiff: I have nothing against Hot Wheels, it's just that my collection's getting out of hand and I feel the need to scale back and focus on something. I still plan on collecting HW's, just not as much as I used to. Supercars don't excite me anymore, it's lately been Japanese classics, of which TLV has been dishing out. (which Mattel's been giving us some interesting ones, still can't wait for the RX-3)

Ah, OK. Still, around where I live, I feel pretty comfortable anywhere..... anywhere that's not a gang, or biker hangout.

Andy, please! This establishment is rated PG-13!

I'm confused(it doesn't take much), but the trucks & the display looks fantastic. Awesome fire engines. đź‘Ť

Probably for the best. I'm sure your "wish list" is as long as everyone else's & it's like mile long anyway. P.S. I think we all have soft spot for Bentleys.

We all collect Mattel. All of us in here. If you are not a complete homer, you are doing it wrong? That's not even debatable.

Funny thing is, I was thinking about going to the other store since it once wasn't as bad as it is now, but after two shootings right within the same block I'm not going anywhere near it.

@AOS- I finally used a forwarding service from Japan couple of weeks ago. Item is super rare in the States & it was either forwarding service, or pay like $90 for two cars in this set. It wasn't Jauce(sp?), but company called Tenso, which is one of the companies signed up with rakuten.com(where I found the cars cheap).

Weird thing is, I had to prove my identity & address by providing photo of electric bill + driver's license. I won't post the item here, but if you look to the right-hand in my blog, it's the first item in "TLV" under "Brands".

:scared: :scared: :scared: Stay safe, Johnny. You are one of the good ones!

@a6m5 Thanks for the tip. I'll have a look to see if I can do any Black saturday shopping :P
This was not my intention!

Tips: You want Rakuten Japan site, not the "Global". While most stores will refuse international orders(requiring the services of forwarder), there are some shops that do ship internationally. This is one of them, but you'll need I.E. translator or something. Pages are in Japanese.
I'm going to be all over that classic JDM set.
They look good, but almost guaranteed to be picked off by hoarders & scalpers. Hello internet!

I am already discouraged at the amount of work I'll have to do.
I don't blame you. This route would be the last one I would take, though of course the language thing is a non-issue to me. Everything I've ordered from rakuten, they've been cars I would have paid double the price elsewhere otherwise.

I've also tried ordering from the Japanese amazon before, but they also don't ship overseas? I would probably get something coming from them in the near future, now that I'm set up with a forwarding service!

I passed on the Fiesta, then saw the Lamley post on it. God, I hope I get another chance at that one.

Hover DeLorean I have came with a bad axle in the rear. It looks like it's trying to turnaround before jumping to another time. lol

That was the first time that I've seen the time machine since k day. It was the only one in the store same with the ford and Aston.

Yesterday, I went to Walmart in the afternoon to see how empty it would look after all of the black friday nuts left. Eh, there were still plenty of things there. I guess they either restocked or there aren't as many black friday shopping nuts in my town. Anyhow, I ended up buying a bit over 20 hotwheels cars. There were just quite a few that I wanted to collect.

I felt a bit silly for buying this many, but I still think it was worth it.'
EDIT: Actually, I take that back. I used to sometimes buy a couple of 10 packs when I was a kid; so this isn't so silly.

I didn't pick up any holiday cars this year, but that VW is pretty sweet. Yellow 'Stang GT, too. đź‘Ť

Will stop by at DaBoxtoys later. I'll see what I can grab from there. :P

Dude next time you're on one of these trips, do you need someone to help carry your luggage around? I'd be more than happy to!

Seriously, looking forward to seeing what you pick up. đź‘Ť

Went to my TRU earlier. It was either buy a 1:18 and no 1:64s or buy three Greenlight 1:64s and no 1:18 (yes, they now have other 1:64 brands again). I chose the 1:18.

....... You have lot of guts showing your face around here, after what you did. I still want to see what you picked up though. :P Have you posted it in the scale model thread yet? Is it awesome!? :embarrassed:
