1/64 Model Collectors Thread

Here's my diecast collection of real-life cars. I still got dozens of more but they're fantasy. I also plan on shooting my bigger models sometime as well, but it's a lot of work.

Got my Porsche Outlaw and Hudson. I also picked up the Rip Rod treasure hunt and an error. I'll post pics of the error tomorrow.

I had a nice haul at a walmart that i dont usually go to, got several extras that I dont plan on keeping so if you see anything you are looking for.....these are up for trade. many were in a dump bin so cards may not be 100%, can check if you want.

also some target snowflake cards

Stuff Im looking for, older or out of packaging, I dont care. I just look for stuff I like dont care about rarity or brand....

Super Vans (not fire chiefs), Dodge Vans, really any vans, 83 Silverados (not Frams), Japanese cars, Pickup trucks, Muscle cars, stuff w/ Real riders, stuff with unique body parts or wheels for donors

I was looking to find a second 356 for modding, but I sure as heck would've liked to have found it in store rather than paying some dude + shipping to get one.

There were still several more of the Brasilia and the Gassers on the pegs. But I had to draw the line somewhere, I had 43 cars in my cart. I am getting out of hand lately lol.

If we trade cars, we're only paying shipping to send some cars to eachother. Of course that could be a bit more expensive shipping across the border. At least the 356 is a new release and hopefully you could find some more on shelves soon. I have not come across any 180SX here yet and I probably hit a few stores a week looking for new stock.

Those Brasilia's are peg warmers everywhere around here. That gasser might make for a nice wheel swap & detail custom.

first I've seen the Brasilia's in this area, there were a lot of them. Im not really a huge fan but seen others make some cool customs out of them. I'd probably like it a lot more with the tampos removed and some different wheels.

Boy don't you work quick, Spacegoat. But I can see why would you place an order for those lovely CRXs so early, those shirt button-esque rims are just too cutesy (yes, I said that) to avoid spending money on them... I'd personally go for the two-tone, red and white version, but the white with red lining isn't half bad either if I'm honest.

A lovely cast in my opinion. The attention to detail is up there with the Beads Collection.

Man. That's amazing. I'm so jealous. I've found two this year and thought I was doing OK.

Last year we found like two or three. We've found four within a month of each other. All legit too, I'm not one of those people who goes through the cases before hand.

I guess it pays off to go to Wal Marts, Targets and other grocery stores 15 times a week haha.

Yeah, both are must haves but definitely digging the two-tone a little bit more than the white. Though I do wish that the two tone had a sunroof like the white one does. That would have put it over the top.

Ah yes, I've only just noticed that. That detail definitely puts the white CRX on top when it comes to detailing, although color variety is more the two-tone's territory. Perhaps Tomica is saving such a combination for the future, who knows?

I used to do that. Got tired of not finding anything since the store employees take them all, or local scalpers have employees pull the cars out for them. There was even one store where a guy was paying one of the employees to hold cars for him. True story.

Somehow we get lucky and that doesn't happen here as much as other places.

I'm sure that is what is happening at my local Walmart, except they are taking the whole cases before they can be put out . I go in there at least once a week and they have had the same 20 or so L and M cars on the pegs for the last 3-4 months, and when I ask if they have any more they keep saying that there was no hot wheels on the truck.

But yesterday I went in and they had put out a dump bin of new cars.There wasn't any treasure hunts, but at least I got a few that I was looking for.

Blimey, I do not know much about Racing Champions, but that quality alone already looks like a champion by itself... Auto World does not want to bring brands back without giving them some shine beforehand, it seems.
