Japanese collectors on Twitter's been posting this car. Makes me jealous....

Love this guy's style. :drool:👍
While blogging, I came up with an idea of doing ten "Desert Island" 1/64 cars. I've just come up with it, but I'm hoping to make it similar to the "Our First TLV" post. In that post we featured @RCKakashi14 , @Spacegoat , @MedigoFlame , @Nessy , @AOS- , @R1600Turbo , @Daniel008 , @Cano from this community & their first TLVs.
Anybody else interested in participating? Any collectors with collection large enough to select your favorite ten are welcome. I'm asking for your favorite(desert island) top ten, why you chose them & pics of each cars.

If interested, please let me know, I will send invite from the dedicated convo thread. Thank you!

I will be there to make it right.
It should have the same wheels as the two cars above it.

Should be showing up in stores now. I've had one for a week or two.

My collection seem to be shrinking. Come next month I may not even have 10 cars to choose from. :P

I'd be interested in this.

From the (blog)post I've been trying to put together:

I am just too much going out every month. Trying to consolidate some things. Had to give up the garage at my apartment. :(
Sounds like it's time to go zero spending for just little bit, save yourself some funds, create enough cushion so you can get in front of it. I hope you hang onto your collection. :crazy:

Boy, it's a good thing you got that parking lot Tomicarama when you did. It certainly has come in handy! Can't wait to see that post. 👍

Oh and curse you and all of your Silhouette's.

And keeping with the HW trend, here's a little something that I bought today;

Hot Wheels's Cadillac Elmiraj (black)

Well... it's a concept Caddy, not much that'll set the world on fire. Still, all things considered, it is a nice and clean casting, free from most of the modern HW "vices" (no uplifting chin, yipee! :dopey:). Of course, I can still point a few flaws at it; the front badge looks streched out and flattened at the same time, the rear has no badge at all and the side lacks the "Elmiraj" logo as well as the tiny Cadillac badge within the side grills. Oh, and there are no grey lines down the sides to mimick the metal lines in the real thing.

But hey, I like it, it just could use a bit more detailing, that's all...

And finally, to pay hommage to a certain blog post, have this;

Gee, I wonder who is that Rokugo guy... And why does he hate metallic flakes so much? :boggled:

It's @a6m5, of course! I decided to bring back his pet hate, paying hommage to his infamous Tomica Limited Vintage BMW 325i blog post. That puntastic name can be easily explained; Shinji is his nickname around these parts, and Rokugo is a combination of six (roku) and five (go)! Enjoy, buddy... :lol:

Nice Ferrari. Been interesting in that one for while. :drool:

Thank you so much for the cool nickname(I like it!). Sorry, paint still sucks. :lol:

BMW in question:

I really hate it in the left pic. :yuck:

I think this issue left impression on Hugo/Niku because of how I concluded this blog post in such poor taste:

Hate the game, not the player! :lol:👍

Boo, I love my TLV BMW. :P

I know, that's what I told Shinji-san. After all, the flake issue is far more evident in TLV's Mercedes 190 casting, and I didn't see anything like a severe punishment for that. Clearly, he has a strong personal bias for Mercedes... :P

Why you are welcome, good to know that my puns worked well enough within the Japanese language. ;)👍
Also, figured you'd say that about the Caddy's (or the BMW's, whichever) paint, you're just that predictable... :lol:

Maybe it's because the size of the flakes on a 1/64 scale car looks like tacky nail polish for paint.

And now some good news! The Majorette Dacia that I bought from @AOS-, but forgot to take a picture of.

Ah so that's where my Dacia went!

What are you- Canadian?

Edjt: Anyway, here's that Croatian seller at it again with a herd of CM's, Kyosho and some TLVs starting at low prices.

Okay, first of all, this is just a casual, friendly debate amongst friends:

Boo, I love my TLV BMW. :P
I don't think TLV did the car justice, considering some of the classic castings we have seen from them. My gripe is not at all about the car, or casting itself though. It's the technique used on their metallic paint. TLV take pride in this, I've read it in interviews. I think it's one of the worst looking paint in 1/64 scale. Considering the miniature scale of the models, metallic flakes are WAY too prominent IMO. I can't stand them. :yuck:

My friend, you couldn't be more wrong. Lexus & BMW are my two favorite luxury car brand. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Meh-cedes(just being playful). :P

I like to let people know where I stand. :lol:

Take off, eh!

Interesting, I'll admit that the flakes are indeed too big, but it really never bugged me. :lol:

I share this guy's view, to be duly honest. I can see why would it bother those who love to take up-and-close photos of those cars (heck, I did that with the Caddy), as they stand out too much just for the sake of "dazzling it up". Still, my eye tends to be directed towards other details most of the time... Call me quirky, but that's how I roll. :lol:

In a related note (of 1/64 cars), I still can't get enough of seeing this car;

Is this an 1/64 scale model? Is it really? I find it difficult to believe that this quality belongs to a 1/64 Mazda, but Oversteer are just that damm good it seems... :drool:👍
(Also I bet Andy and Shinji-san will adore this Mazda Soul Red paintjob, not a single flake in sight)

This explains, I guess, why you hardly post any of your own cars anymore. Sad to hear that.

Mine's loose. Sweet, but I like the purple one Harry posted better(also have it Loose).

Eh, what? Purple? Tilt your screen forward please and get rid of the red shift. It's indigo. :sly:

I would love to take part in your melee but due to really pressing schedules don't want to make promises and let you down.
Let me say, however, that you do such great work in this thread, and your collection is absolutely phenomenal now. Sticking to 1:64s has really paid off for you in terms of variety and quality.
Your nephew must be insanely jealous. :dopey: 👍
