Well, it was good to have something productive come out of a rather underwhelming and frustrating day, like the one I had today. Do not worry, I will not hamper the thread's quality with my whining and frustration, because there are better things to do than that. Namely showcasing the one productive and pleasing sight of the day, my day at least...
Oh, and as a bonus, I will let you in on a little something; this car will be a part of my Top 10 Desert Island Cars list, that much I can assure you. I know that my list is bound to impress very few in terms of uniqueness and quality (well hopefully
@a6m5 will enjoy the musings of a rookie collector such as myself, and what makes said collector's list different from those who have far more experience and mollah in this business), but at least with this purchase in my grasp I can start writing said list properly. So, without further adieu, behold:

First of all, I do must thank sir RC_Kakashi_14 for clueing me in on this little lion of a car, because otherwise I would not have the faintest idea about its existance. The moment I saw pictures of it, it was fated to join my household of cars... It took quite the adventure to get this car; my father had a day off from work, and since I left university earlier than expected, I asked him to make a little voyage to a nearby Peugeot dealership. But as it turned out, said dealership had nothing but 1/43 models of 508s, and that's not what I was looking for.
But fortunately for us, another slightly-further-away dealership had two VGTs in stock, albeit none was the black/red combo I was looking for. Still, better having some than none, so we made our way there and I was able to snatch it away from the display cases before the dealership closed down. For once, my timing was good enough, thank God for that... I could nitpick about the lack of some details in the casting itself, but there is no other Peugeot VGT scale model on the market so far, much less a 1/64 one. So as it stands, this is the best Peugeot VGT scale model you can buy, for obvious reasons.
As a bonus treat, some silly jokes from a silly man:

Peugeot: You are quite big, no?
Alpine: That's because I have far more realistic expectations than you, little guy...
