Thank you for the compliments on the Tomicarama, Kinnikuman Hugo! and, and , and other stuff.

Well, it's not undeserved praise, I can say that much. ;)👍 You have great taste in cars, isn't that worthy of compliment?

Ratsun's Desert Island list

He's a collector from Japan, and somebody I befriended on Twitter, but please check out his list. I promise it's interesting. :D

Well, isn't that interesting indeed... It is the first list to include customs, that much I can say, but there are quite a few rarities amongst them. Very nice.

You make me smile. :)
When I want authentic replica quality I look to spend more than a dollar - I look at names like AUTOart, CM, Exoto, et al. These I would look at closely for quality - the quality I expect when I spend anything from $20.00 to $80.00.
The 'hated lip' is quite a favourite characteristic of Hot Wheels $1.00 car buyers - we buy them for a whole different reason than to pretend they are die-cast replicas

I don't dislike the upturned lip because it's not realistic, I dislike it because it looks absolutely terrible.

I just posted new Desert Island list, so yours will be next(I usually give it few days).

I'm loving how varied these lists are. 👍

It was difficult, because it's scarce. Even in Japan, it's worth quite a bit of money. In the U.S., I think the cheapest I ever saw this one was $119 shipped? (looong time ago) For $119, I'd have gone for it, but many months later(maybe close to a year), Amazon seller dropped the price to just under $100 shipped, and I JUMPED on it. I am stoked.

That's not the answer I was looking for. :grumpy:

Am I to understand that the car came with the diorama? Tomica was a pioneer in dioramas - and some of their older sets must be astronomically priced if one can find someone willing to sell. So to me that still is a fair price if you got it with the car too. Both Tomica sets I have (Gas Shed and Railway Transport set) came with Nissans too.
I was informed by a friend recently of a site called 'iWish' and plunging in there for a moment I saw a host of diorama stuff - people, houses, etc. and it seems like it is a popular part of the hobby.

Now how are you going to get all those sets together in one big panoramic town?

To each their own, then; a subjective view is not the same as an objective analysis of build quality or market value as I mistaken took your post to be. 👍

Thank you, I agree. :P

Never seen or heard. That was my reaction to his list.

I expected it to be, but yes, it's lot of fun to actually see them & read about them. 👍

Police box/station was disassembled & put back in the box as soon as I was done with it. :P

I did see old Tomicarama set(Mitsubishi gas station) on eBay other day. I followed it to see if I can snatch it up for cheap, because I realize they weren't of the quality these TLV sets are. I was interested in it around $20, but I think in the last couple of hours, I want to say that I saw it climb to around $70?
Awesome! selection. Didn't even know that Manta existed (reminds me of the 'HardCastle & McCormick' Coyote/Lola), or the 620 pick-up, and his custom work is spectacular! 👍
Me neither!(didn't know actual vehicle existed lol). And yes, his customs are not half-assed!
Thinning out some duplicates if anyone's looking:
I don't have any Luce in my collection. How much are you asking for for that one?
Freakin hell, his Gigahorse custom from Fury Road. Incredible!
I kinda wanna see the movie now. Crazy machine. :D

73 gto and a 68 amx, both have 1994 to 2004 stickers on them.

The question now is: what 911s has Magnus Walker done, and which ones do you think are most likely to make it in?

Magnus Walker's famous "277", based on a 1971 911T. If HW can make the classic 911 mold as the 934, then I'm sure they can pull it off, minus the whaletail and fenders.

I definitely want his 277. I can't understand why they released two 356s for a man who collects 911s? Sure, I know he has other Porsches, I follow him on Instagram, but he rarely posts 356. I've seen more of the 928 than any other non-911 model.

Today's finds. Someone returned a load of Custom Tegs, Meganes, and Escorts. There were like 15 of each, so I picked up one of each. Found 3 Snoopys in a dump bin, rest were found on pegs. No Supers or regulars sadly. The Greddy 180SX was hidden behind a HW Police 5 pack. I wonder if a WM employee hid it there, or a collector did.

Edit: Nothing out of the ordinary here...

I take it that those two are wearing the wrong type of rims. Or am I wrong on this?

Either way, the Odyssey is growing on me with each passing second. It may be an oddball, but it's the kind of oddball I like...

Black OH5.

That could sell for good money for the next little while if you get Lamley to post about it.
I already asked John, he's aware of it and has one held for him but he doesn't know when the guy will send it to him. I'm sure the feature will happen then. But...
Think those pictures would suffice?
...he might like those pictures enough to do it sooner. And if you know where to get another one, I am interested.

HERE is the normal one. (link because large pic)

I wish they did normal paint from the beginning(Gulf Drag Bus, GT40 & Posche from last year).

I like the black rims anyway, but man that corner light tampo.... I realize Hot Wheels do much higher volume, but I have hard time getting over how clean Matchbox tampos are in comparison. With Matchbox, I expect clean well placed tampos where with Hot Wheels, I expect it to be the Picaso variation. :banghead: When I get clean Hot Wheels, I actually find it to be a pleasant surprise.
