Welcome back dude. 👍

Desert Island cars by @Niku Driver HC is up. @Spacegoat lock up any objects that could be used as weapons before reading down the list. j/k

P.S. All Greenlight cars I felt were bit pricey at $5.95 are now $6.99 at my local TRU. No more impulse buys from me. Their $3 "World Cars" are now $4.95.

P.S. Best gif ever.👍

I seriously cannot believe he knew about that gif. Being a wrestling fan myself, I have to chuckle at that damm face! Top job, space kangaroo...👍

Nah, great list @Niku Driver HC. 👍 It's actually funny because the yellow one remains the only 510 wagon I've ever been be able to find as well. The red version always eluded me. :(

First of all, thanks bud. 👍 Secondly, so your "jealous love" in my list is the 510? To be honest, I have ever never, eeeeever (geddit? :sly: ) seen a red 510, or any other variation for that matter. Therefore, and unless Mattel is kind enough to slap a BRE livery on it, this 510 is my first and most famous 510 "love"...

Ken

Why thank you, Ken the gangsta Cerberus (? what happened to the friendly bear? :(), much appreciated. 👍 Anything in that list that tickles your fancy in particular, or did you just like everything on the same basis?

Everything was of interest. Good selection throughout. But my favorite was your "beater" with sticky wheels. I have a few of those cars, and the meaning to me is priceless. Nothing like nostalgia.

And the Bears? This is the same artist, but it's his take on Dante's Inferno. The next few avatars do get a bear treatment however.

Cool list @Niku Driver HC
I strongly considered the traction avant for my list as well, but since mine has some paint damage (It came that way out of the packaging, I swear!) I went with the VW Karmann Ghia instead.

Dude, of course. The Miz cashing in MitB on Orton! :P

No, I'd probably have to say that the one I'd pick out of your ten would be the Peugeot 908. Such a shame that Peugeot dropped their Le Mans program, always liked the look of that car.

Ah, so you dug the Mustang, it is a bit of an oddball within my collection to say the least. I know very little about it, but it has become an endearing car to me. Once took it as a prop to a school play, in fact...

Oh, so it's a related work to your old bear avatar? Fair enough, his work does look cool and funny at the same time. Looking forward to seeing whatever you will come up with...

Well then, I managed to beat you at something, that's worthy of a medal right there. :P

Ok, I kid, but I was fortunate enough to grab a Traction Avant in good nick. A black one would be nice too, but my two-tone car works just as well.

Dude, of course. The Miz cashing in MitB on Orton! :P

Dude, no one should be remembering that, that title reign was as forgettable as Miz's entire wrestling career. It's like what Dolph Ziggler has been saying all along! :P

Ah ok, fair enough. That 908 is a good casting, but all those holes and aerodynamic gaps are a pain to clean... And I learned that the hard way, when I had to clean it myself for the picture. Never again!

You could argue that girls reaction, is the most memorable thing about Miz's title reign.

Yeah, I put the TLV Fairlady I got last week back in it's box a couple of days ago because I dreaded the thought of trying to clean out its interior when it becomes all dusty. !

No wonder WWE paired Miz with the Grumpy Cat once in Monday Night RAW; all he's good for is being meme-pushing material...

Yeah, having a convertible scale model is an ever bigger pain than a fixed roof-type one, imagine if the 908 was an open top car... Sculptured aerodynamic body + open interior = you need the world's thinnest brush to clean all that.  Thank godness your Fairlady (haha, fair lady) can have the roof attached...

We have started planning for the HK Toy Festival in July. Can you guess what car this is and which manufacturer we will work with to make this in 1:64 scale?

Toy Fest = low supply. Gulf liveries = demand. low supply + demand = high demand = $$$$$

I'm guessing it's either Ebbro, Greenlight, or Kyosho. Personally, I'm hoping it's CM's. :D

You'd have to get yourself a pair of these too, just so you don't miss anything! :dopey:

Yeah but honestly I much prefer it without the roof. Besides even with the roof attached, it's still got no side windows.

Camaro, Hot Wheels?

Haha, just like those people who work at jewelry stores, trying to check whether or not you brought a dinky piece of china, or an actual 15 carat gold ring... And it comes with in-built lights too? Picture perfect piece of engineering!👍

Yeah but honestly I much prefer it without the roof. Besides even with the roof attached, it's still got no side windows.

Well yes, those two are very valid points, but at least with a roof there are less areas which will catch dust right away... With an open roof you may as well cover the entire interior in dust yourself with a leafblower or something.

A custom mainline Tomica? :dopey:

I wish, a TLV NEO Camaro is one of those things you'd pay a zillion dollars, just to make it happen... My heart says Tomica, but my brain (the most logical body part of 'em all) clearly says Greenlight. American car + Gulf livery = shoutout to American scale model companies. HW is another key candidate, considering their vast past with Gulf...

Cool list, Niku, the favorite is the Bburago Alpine by far.

First of all, I am certainly honored to know that you enjoyed it, sire. Glad to hear that my list is capable of impressing people who create masterpieces out of many Hot Wheels castings.

But I do have to ask; you were actually impressed by the Alpi? Never thought that it would catch any eyes, considering that most 1/64 Bburago's are usually ignored by the masses. I felt that those who saw my Alpine would just go "ergh, it's not half as good as Minichamps's models" and jump right over it. But one thing is certain; the Alpine is one of Bburago's best 1/64 castings, there's no comparison to any other similar models. There is something off-putting about the early Bburago 1/64s, mainly how their wheels look like they were pushed inside the car's body with a sledgehammer and left there...

Hey guys, new to this particular part of the forum, but as some of you who may know me, I've been around for awhile now. Anyways, I just started collecting 1/64 diecast about a month ago after not collecting anything for about the last 10 years or so. I used to have a rather large collection, mostly 1/64 Johnny Lightning and RCCA NASCAR cars, all of which I ended up selling when I fell on hard times. So, here I go again, round 2. As you can see from the pics below, I'm mostly into American muscle cars (with the 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge being my favorite) but do plan on expanding on that as I've seen some other pretty cool cars, from viewing this thread, that I'd like to have. At any rate, here is what I've manage to collect so far. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, but its the best I could do for now.

Welcome, Cargo_Ratt, never thought I'd see you around these parts. Nice set of 'Murican muscle, I have yet to own an Auto World or a M2 model, but your AW cars do look quite good. Ok, so the pictures are rather blurry, but there's only so much when you cab do when you have nothing but a potato cam to take picturesl... Also, you posted the AW Galaxie 500 twice, just to let you know. As for the rest, I especially like the Car & Driver Olds 4-4-2, how much did that one go for?

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated. 👍 Also, I would like to apologize for the rather large pics, I didn't even pay attention when I was cropping them. :embarrassed: Anyways, I got all the GTO Judges off of eBay and the rest came from Walmart, Meijers, and Hobby Lobby. If I remember right, I got the Olds from Walmart for $5.99. And yea, you might be surprised where I end up on these forums. :sly: I don't even have GT6 anymore so that's why I don't post much anymore. Been in the NASCAR thread and that's about it. Thanks again for the kind words and the welcome, appreciate it.

You're welcome. ;)👍 Also, perhaps you should also consider resizing alongside cropping, or adding those pictures to your GTP Media folder in case you're posting multiple pictures; that way, people can still see the pics in full size if they click on their thumbnails, but the thread shows them only in thumbnail format, meaning that Internet connections won't suffer.

Also, 6 bucks for the Olds... It's not a bad price, but it's hard to come by Auto Worlds around these parts, so I cannot tell whether or not that price would be retained in a Portugal-bought AW model. Thanks for clarifying that one. 👍

Thanks for the advice about the pics. 👍 Perhaps you could pm me explaining exactly how to do what you suggested with the pics. I'm a bit rusty when it comes to posting images anymore as I haven't done it correctly in over a year :embarrassed: so your help would be appreciated on that. Nice talking to you Niku.

I'm just glad the thing exists, and the casting is good. And the car is fantastic.

Man, I really need to get working on my list.
