Never noticed the treatment around the headlights before. Nice.
Cool story: I walked into the diecast isle at a Target on Saturday just as a guy was walking out with two, the only two they had, in his hands. Go figure. 2 minutes too late.
That's not a cool story at all. Cool story: I was buying a baseball bat at Target, because I saw a guy grab two of the last datsuns. jk jk lol lol
That happened to me once, but it was the Datsun Wagon Super.
I found one. It was like $45 I think. Dumb buy people said.
While people wait for and hoard the Matchbox Skyline coming out, I will be keeping an eye out for this.

I'd rather have this than the Skyline.

You've collected several castings which you then later sell on eBay because you needed to let stuff go. True story; just joking about it; I've done it too. Lots of sense it makes. :P

I'm on the other end of that. I wished the front end was solid zamac like the BMW 2002. Blue grills confuse me.

Well the good part about collecting stuff like the Vanster now is that I know they aren't worth 🤬 and nobody else wants them.

Hello all, Wow, a lot of great photos in this thread, it's been awhile since I last posted...admittedly committed myself to 1:43 and 1:18 recently...in fact that's all I bought for awhile....not only did that break the bank, it destroyed the bank:lol:,

but man these tlv's and kyoshos are getting me hooked...such quality for not much money ,but yes, I have returned. Lol

I also recently moved...so it's gonna be a while before my collection is actually put back up...but in the man cave:bowdown:

Can't wait to show you guys the updated collection, 1:64 wise :)

Torque.

Perfect colour.

I'd rather have that over the Skyline too. Just because there's half decent chance of actually finding the Volvo.
I'll wait until I checkout the real thing, but it'll be interesting to see which mold create better looking casting. Old Matchbox from few years ago, most out of the lineup really impressed me. New Matchbox.... hit & miss.
Wait. Jesus is Canadian?
Usually, from the other border(very popular name Mexico). Sometimes, it's like you are from another world.... upside down or something......

You are dead to me.
but yes, I have returned. Lol
I never stopped loving you. Never!

This is going to be spectacular, isn't it. I can't wait! :embarrassed:
What is this sorcery in my local Walmart store? This doesn't happen here.

Dang. Congratulations, Jason. 👍 Hows it look? I picked up one of the regular Ford GTs, but casting looked sort of okay, sort of meh to me. I'm still deciding if I'm going to keep it, or let it become the race car for track. Real Riders changes the whole look though....

Pretty nice I would say. Still not excited about the large rear wheels but it is what it is. Glad I found this in the store so I don't have to pay eBay prices. Funny I was over half way through the dump bin and it's a mixture of mostly old cars but a few P cases thrown on top and the first word out of my mouth was "whaaaaaat". Hoarder employee either missed it or someone else put them out.

Also picked up the Huracan Super Trofeo, Porsche 911 GT3 (2 actually, one for a wheel swap) black 180SX, white BMW 2002 and the silver Matchbox Infiniti G37.

Nice. 👍 I passed on the MBX Infiniti. I SO wish they did new Lexuses though. Black 180SX I really want, but have yet to see. Minecraft cars my nephews really loved, so I am glad I was able to find couple of those. I'm forgetting one more I've been on a lookout for, but I forget.

I totally regret leaving the Focus RS and GT behind in my local Asda the other week. All they had there on Thursday morning were about 8 fantasy Matchbox and the only HW were in a five pack. I hope this isn't the new normal for that store. I've never seen it look so devoid of cars.

My haul from Sandown. Sorry for bad quality, the lighting wasn't great. May get some better shots later, if I can be bothered...

I FINALLY FOUND SOME JAPAN HISTORICS! YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! But it came at a crazy cost - $50 for the pair:scared: However, it's SOOOOO worth it considering I've looked so hard for so long. The Commodores are fantastic, especially the Biante ones. I knew that they would be available. The bonus though was the Vortex Lowndes car from THIS YEAR. So this has to be my greatest haul EVER. Oh yeah, the racing was pretty good too.

Reminds me of Stallone's Mercury in the movie Cobra.
Cool throwback 80's movie. :D

I'm sorry to bother you guys with this. The building in the background. Does it look fairly neutral white to you?

I got this new monitor & I could swear the picture has noticeable purple hue. On my phone & old monitor, it's not perfect, but the color look fairly neutral white. Maybe faintly yellowish.

What do you guys think? Does the building look good enough white, or white with purple or yellow hue?

That white has yellows and reds in it, very little on blue.

Bruh, I could've got you the entire set for about that price after shipping.

Cool! I got the two Tander cars (Test Day and Townsville) but thought I'd hold off on the Lowndes one. Didn't want to pay $30 for it...will see if there's some more at Bathurst.

Just got kicked out of my local Kmart after a kid who I go to school with that happens to be an employee started giving me a hard time as I was looking through a Hot Wheels display. I tried to get the kid off my back and I didn't even do or say anything too crazy but I guess another employee saw it and grabbed the store manager who then told me to abandon my shopping cart and leave. What angered me more is I had two errors and two THs, and I hadn't even made it halfway through the display yet. Not to mention there was another one right beside it with full pegs and I hadn't even made it to the actual toy section yet. :banghead:

Kmart is still in business? They could actually afford to kick a customer out? Where I'm at, they are like small crappier dollar store, just with 10X more real estate, but with same amount of customers inside. Employees look like they are grade school dropouts, here illegally, or 85 years old. It's a bizarre shopping experience. :ill:

Anyway, sorry. What did you do though, Johnny? Define "anything too crazy". :P In a similar situation, I'd have started lines to put him on the spot. "Aren't you suppose to be putting stuff away in the feminine products aisle or something?", or *hold up race car on a bent card* "I hate to play the race card, but yeah, I think I'd like to talk to your manager 'bout your attitude mmmkay?."

That post was a bit of an interesting read.

But the story, he was one of those people who I don't really have a good history with but he hasn't bothered me in a couple of years despite having a few classes with me since then. I had my face in the display and I heard his voice behind me say "gee you must still be in preschool" and him laughing. I calmly turned around and said "you know, just because I'm looking at Hot Wheels doesn't mean it's for me. It's for--." He interrupted me and said "bull:censored:. Maybe if you wouldn't play with kids toys you'd actually have friends. Then again even still no one would want anything to do with you because you're a 🤬." As he was saying this I had my hands back in the display and I turned around after he was done and said "says the guy who literally does nothing but act entitled to everything and takes his problems out on other people" (which, maybe I shouldn't say this, but he does). He fires back with a threat to send me to the hospital with a beat down and as he's saying this I see out of the corner of my eye an employee who was behind him the whole time walk away. We exchanged a couple more words, me being more calm and clean than him. Then a minute later I see the same employee who walked away just earlier come back doing a fast walk/slow jog with the manager. The manager tells me "sir you must leave the store now. Leave the cart alone and exit the facility." I start to respectably plead my case but all it does is give the manager more reason to show me the door. Turned out the two employees were friends from different schools and the manager is the uncle of one of them so I guess that explains everything.

As for the cars I had to leave behind, one was the Fiat basic TH, one was the Tesla $TH, and the two errors were fantasy cars. Of those two, one had an interior piece missing and the other had a wheel error - 10 spoke wheels on one end, 5 spoke on the other.
