Alright, I found some hotwheels that I haven't gotten in my collection yet. I got my first M1, finally found the Huracan Super Trofeo, and collected 2 of the "Trucks" set. There was a Silverado, but it didn't interest me.

Just got kicked out of my local Kmart after a kid who I go to school with that happens to be an employee started giving me a hard time as I was looking through a Hot Wheels display. I tried to get the kid off my back and I didn't even do or say anything too crazy but I guess another employee saw it and grabbed the store manager who then told me to abandon my shopping cart and leave. What angered me more is I had two errors and two THs, and I hadn't even made it halfway through the display yet. Not to mention there was another one right beside it with full pegs and I hadn't even made it to the actual toy section yet. :banghead:

I wouldn't have submitted so easily. If I had stuff I wanted and they weren't going to budge from their standpoint, I'd have negotiated to have them watch me as I went and paid and left.

Reason for this is that this kid is an employee. First and foremost, their profession comes before personal relationships when they're on the job. So if he decides to make a mocking statement to a customer, he's put himself in a poor position and you should capitalize on that because it was completely uncalled for. He then teams up with his manager to mistreat a customer who was not in the wrong. This can be taken up with the manager's superior, the district manager. He/she is the one you'll need to have on your side. OR at least get in touch with someone at an even higher level. That guy making rude comments isn't what's going to get them to listen; it's the fact that the manager did not respond appropriately to the situation.

But to back up to the root of the scene, you said you tried to get him off your back. I can only imagine that another employee may have summoned the manager because it looked like you meant harm to an employee or store property itself. My initial question is to ask how you tried to deal with the situation and whether your actions in any way can be interpreted as threatening or anything the staff can have reason for kicking you out.

Edit: Sharing some errors I found the other day which I no longer invest in:

Missing stripe (I'm guessing). Maybe I should have grabbed it, since people are stilling flipping their booties over stripe-less cars.

All the M4s I've seen didn't have a stripe on the car. Maybe it's a card error.

@Johnny1996 - I agree with Andy. It's Kmart, but the dude was still way out of line. If you guys were good friends, well, that's just how good friends greet each other(lol), but if what happened to you happened to me, there would be accountability. Like Jason said, venting at the corporate, at least with me, would make me feel better. :P I'm very sorry to hear about the $uper TH.

Presentation like this really hits the spot for me. New GreenLight International DuraStar Flatbed with other Gulf livery cars. :embarrassed:

The most I did other anything verbal was hold my hand up in a "what?" manner which is probably what did it although personally that's minor compared to what it could've been I suppose. There wasn't any physical contact made with anyone other than a random customer nudging me on my way out the door asking "what the hell happened" out of curiosity, which is nothing.

As for the cars, what's the BMW? I haven't been paying attention to any blogs or anything lately, so I haven't seen it posted anywhere.

It's not all bad with the $TH. I met up with a friend at Arby's before I hit the Kmart and he gave me some money to take a look and maybe buy some cars for him. After I left Kmart I pulled into an AutoZone and called him, told him what happened. He originally couldn't make it to Kmart since he had to stop at a repair shop to get a tire from his dad's car repaired, but after he was done there, he stopped in at Kmart and picked up the $TH. Which I originally intended on getting for him.

And that backdrop is beautiful.

Or maybe it's just the cars. :P

Looks like N/P cases have hit worldwide then. My luck certainly changed on Saturday, from 3 months of slim pickings.

Got a week off work, and have planned routes for some hunts while I'm off, but may have shot my bolt already during the local scour! :D:indiff:

Used the UKs quadrilogy of ASDA, Sainsbury's, Wilko and Poundland. The supermarkets came up trumps with the latest stuff.

Got the Corvette Racer, F&F Charger Off-roader, GT convertible, Porsche RS etc in ASDA and the Focus RS, black CSL etc in Sainsbury's, after both stagnating with J case stuff for months.

Poundlands are always gems. They must buy up old wholesaler stuff or just have it lying in their DCs, I don't know. Probably the closest we get to US flea markets selling carded older stuff lol.

I was having such good scores everywhere I arrived, I even bought some extra muscle.

I'll post up what I find tomorrow when I venture further afield, if anything :nervous:

I realized that I made an error when I went to Target, there was a black 180SX there and I thought I had it, so I didn't pick if up, but then I look at my pictures on my computer and it turns out the one I have is white. Whoops. I'll go back to Target later this week to see if its still there. Also, I still annoyingly haven't found a black 3.0 CSL, I've seen a bunch of white ones, but no black one.

Actually, you have a few 2017 A-case cars in there. (F&F Charger, Mustang Convertible are a couple)

Oops meant to tag that in when I mentioned them apart from the others as latest stuff 👍

I'll be looking out for the Datsun soon maybe.

Best hunt of the year so far, everywhere yielded something. Welcome to xmas.

Still to track down: Ford GT '17, Super Trofeo, both road & race MX5s and maybe the red Skyline.

Gonna make a call later tonight. If I have an update to give afterwards, that's what I'll do.

EDIT: Boxed 1:64 racing collection save for the three Earnhardt 1:24s in front. If anyone wants a closer look at anything just let me know.

Does your M4 have a stripe on the bonnet? If not, does the illustration on the card have a stripe on the bonnet?

Yeah, same as yours and every one I've seen, images and unboxing vids of. Stripe on card, no stripe on cast.

What's special about that truck set?

Coolbeans. I'm glad I didn't find the car when I visited Walmart today then. Saved myself some pocket change.

Now my interest is growing in this scale, I've decided to create a dedicated Instagram account. Nothing posted yet, will wait for my Tomica MX5 for that.

Hello! :D It's that time again! :sly: Got to go to the Collectors Antique finally, don't think I have been there since 2015. My dad informed me this was his last week off until next year, so I made sure I made it count and that's exactly what I did. ;)

Here are my purchases:

Oshkosh Cement Mixer and Snoopie. Got the mixer simply because I liked it and my dad wanted the Snoopie, so I bought it for him and he will pay me back later. $3 each.
IMG_1891.JPG

Dodge Viper. I have loved blue Vipers with white stripes since I was child and seeing how good this one looked, I had to get it. $1
IMG_1901.JPG

Ferrari F50 Spider. Never owned this particular one, so it was about time that changed. $1
IMG_1900.JPG

Mustang. I got it for the colors. Kind of wonder I should have waited on it though. :ouch: $5
IMG_1899.JPG

Power Plower. I wanted one with plow still intact and this appeases me. Apart from that, I feel the same for this one as I did for the Mustang. $5
IMG_1898.JPG

Here is where it gets juicy....

Peterbilt Cement Mixer. Saw this from a distance and it had me at hello! :dopey: $3
IMG_1895.JPG

Peterbilt Tank Truck. Never owned this one before and seeing it was in decent shape, I got it. Goes great with the Cement Mixer. :D $5
IMG_1897.JPG

Cadillac Seville. A fine car in great shape that I have been rather fond of and at only $5, why the heck not?!
IMG_1892.JPG

Jeep CJ-7. This thing always struct me as a unlicensed version of Daisy's Jeep from the Dukes of Hazzard. As a Dukes of Hazzard fan myself, this was too good to leave behind, especially when it's in great shape like this! $5
IMG_1894.JPG

Cool-One. Good thing I found this one! While the front wheels look rough, the rest of it is in great shape! $10
IMG_1896.JPG

As always, I believe if you are going to talk about the prices you paid, you must show your receipt. So here it is:
IMG_1902.JPG

Even more than my last visit if I remember correctly! :scared: A lot of eye candy in there this time around. Sadly I forgot my camera, but don't fret, if nothing goes wrong, I should get to go again for the fall festival in a few weeks.

Do any UK members feel their local Asda is changing their shelving to marginalise Hot Wheels? The only ones they have been carrying for three weeks now are the super hero cars and a couple of multi packs. There were no mainlines at all and where they usually sit, were six or seven MBX or own-brand cars.

Tesco had three small pegs of mainlines and the rest were long card premiums or Majorette multi-packs. I haven't checked the Sainsbury's near by, but I do know my workplace - Morrisons - has seen the HW dry up and it's been mostly MBX and entry level Majorette. I'm getting a bit concerned.

I remember that one from the '80s and one day discovering that the hoses pull out at the back of the tank.
Thanks for sharing, I was not aware that. Such a cool feature for a great casting. Too bad mine doesn't have them. All I see in its place are empty holes. :indiff:

Either someone drove the hell outta that GTO beforehand or Tomica bought some really thin tires for it... Such a small "rubber" wall!

But jokes aside, the casting is nice enough, the taillights are nicely done and aren't just left unpainted like in other cars.

Either way, the Integrale is the real highlight. I love the red/black combo moreso than the black one, and the fact that Tomica bothered to include such a tiny but realistic detail such as the Integrale 16v writing is outstanding. Now to see how awesome will the Fiat Panda casting look... 👍
