My latest additions to my collection and I'm happy to say that I finally got the black 3.0 CSL!

Didn't know there was such thing(I had to google it). 👍
Glad to know you like it, seems that not many here cared about it... Sorry if I'm sounding negative towards that, but I don't see many responses about it, it's as if the car was simply ignored. Did I do something in the post for that to happen? I would like to know if that's the case...
It's not you, it's not the GL Chevelle. It's just that...

"I just don't have a genuine interest in Greenlights."

Andy is an a-hole.

j/k

Sorry, I had to throw somebody under the bus for no reason. I'm sick.

I don't think it's unusual for a post not to get noticed sometimes? I am kinda surprised by how few "likes" you received though. You don't get the chance to post very often, but you did, and it's a nice contribution to the thread. I'd have expected at least a couple more likes. If you take the time to share pics from your haul, your collection, you can usually count on a "like" from me. I see it as a contribution to the thread/community, and I show my appreciation by clicking on the "like".

Also, while what @Apok suggested is very true, I personally enjoy the different style each posters bring. I liked your tabletop shots. I do use the "Shell" Tomicarama backdrop thing, I'm so sick of it, but that's my trademark. Variety is cool.

You guys would be amazed with the stuff that's on sale here in Thailand at the mall. I really wish I could help you out because I see these cars all the time, stuff that you post about wanting, but just don't have the capacity to buy and ship them.

I get the feeling that there are very few people here (in Thai) that collect the Hot wheels small cars because they're everywhere for such a low price.
When I hear Thai, it's like I interpret that as "food". Can you ship me food!?!? Kidding aside, I'm also of the impression that diecast business is huge in that region.
I'm also probably going to be taking a break from collecting for a while.
You better stay out of this thread then, because if you keep peeking in here from time to time, you will buy more cars. :P

Picked these two up at Bathurst on the weekend. Big thanks to @GTracer38 and @CLowndes888 for bringing these to my attention, had no idea they even existed. :embarrassed:

Family Truckster fans, your legendary whip hasn't found its way into my garage just yet.

:P

Seriously, that's a great looking model. Love the colour. 👍
Not a word...

Aw, you're no fun.

I actually kinda like it....

That's really nice.... Nice livery.... *yawn*

Same car as my Twitter header. You might recognise it? :P
More pics please Jarrod..... MOARPICSSS!!!

But....but that would mean opening them!

It reminds me of the Scion xB/Toyota bB, too.

They are EVERYWHERE on your Twitter page! Half the post feature those cars.
For $19 each, rubber tyres would have been nice. Decal's are pretty good though.
Worth every penny. Quite a turnaround from the GreenLight detailing we've been talking about, eh? :P While I prefer rubber tires, I don't mind the plastic too much, as long as they look somewhat realistic. These looks really nice. Please. Please let me feature this on the blog!
Family Guy's the best. #1.👍

Very easily (apart from the staples)! Nice pics.

You're welcome! :P Hopefully they make some more and maybe some other teams 👍

Of course! You don't even have to ask, go ahead. 👍
Very easily (apart from the staples)!

Main problem with the staples was trying to line the freakin things up with the holes again. I got them back in, eventually.
Hopefully they make some more and maybe some other teams 👍

Hopefully so, I'd be down for some more to add to those two. 👍 Volvo would have been cool but I'm guessing that ain't going to happen. :indiff:

Yeah, I was hoping for the Mercs, or any of the other makes for that matter, but we'll just have to wait and hope (Since Classic Carlectables don't seem to do much anymore). I will still hope for some Erebus cars lol

These models are the best things to come from Biante in years. Seriously. Great that you found them @Spacegoat.
I also saw some Biante 1:64 Falcon GT-HO's at Sandown and I almost picked them up because they looked really nice. I'm not even a Ford man...:scared:

It's ok, I'm used to that. After all, Andy is a very serious collector, therefore the way he displays his preferences is equally serious and straight to the point. Can't argue with that. But you can tell he's Canadian, 'cause he managed to be blunt while not offending me at the same time!

These strange Canadian ways, let me tell ya...

Well I appreciate the likes, but sometimes I tend to prefer seeing a comment over a like. Perhaps it's just my own personality acting in that sense, but I like it when people have interesting opinions and share them here. Not just dropping a like and saying nothing... Yes, I know I tend to do what I "criticize" from time to time, but those are my five cents. I cannot afford to build a super-rare collection like many can as of this moment, but I try to find things that can elicit your interests.

But I do agree with you on the fact that the Chevelle got so few likes, it's a rare muscle car. Not only that, it's a cool rare muscle car, coupled with a legendary name and an interesting backstory...

Also, while what @Apok suggested is very true, I personally enjoy the different style each posters bring. I liked your tabletop shots. I do use the "Shell" Tomicarama backdrop thing, I'm so sick of it, but that's my trademark. Variety is cool.

The tabletop shots were sort of a last-minute choice, I don't plan to do them all the time if I can set up my dull-looking white background scenary. It's not an amazing professional setup, but I guess it's the one people tend to prefer with my photos (from what Apok said). But if people appreciate the variety, I could always bring the table back from time to time... You never know. :sly:

Seriously, that's a great looking model. Love the colour. 👍

:sly:

Joke aside, maybe I'll get a Family Truckster one day. Since my first four GL cars were movie cars, there's no reason for me to ignore the others...

Also, since you like it, I'll have you know that the place where I bought the Chevelle not only had the Truckster on its own, but also had the Tow & Hitch version of it! Do you fancy a Truckster with a matching tow? :sly:

Not a word...

Don't be a pansy. Fantasy cars are cool. 👍

I do use the "Shell" Tomicarama backdrop thing, I'm so sick of it, but that's my trademark. Variety is cool.
Wow, way to take one for the team. Goes for trademark just to maintain your own identity, even though you don't like it. But seriously, you could go right into a different backdrop if you really want.

But you can tell he's Canadian, 'cause he managed to be blunt while not offending me at the same time!

I get that it's meant to be a joke, but word of advice: don't even use me as a benchmark for "how nice the average Canadian is". It's going to hurt you later in life

Oh wow, I thought you were going to go the complete opposite way and slaughter me for that one. Good to know I was wrong about that...

...at least it's good that I don't use the South Park Canadians as my Canada benchmark?

I didn't feel particularly moved by the Greenlight Chevelle simply because I don't think they're nice muscle cars at all. Boxy looks, meh shape and without the interesting gimmick of the El Camino.

Yeah, I was hoping for the Mercs,

Oh man, the Mercs would have been so sweet.
or any of the other makes for that matter,

Speak of the devil.

Seems like they're only doing the Shell livery in 1/64 at the moment though. Still, great to see the range expanding a little.
These models are the best things to come from Biante in years.

Really are. They're seriously impressive. 👍
but also had the Tow & Hitch version of it! Do you fancy a Truckster with a matching tow? :sly:

I've seen that one on the interwebs! Definitely interested but GL's done another couple of versions of the Family Truckster that I need first. One day.

Well yes, you are right, on both accounts. Greenlight adore the Truckster so much they already have one more variation planned for their next movie series;

I mean that's like the fourth or fifth Truckster GL has released, right? Now featuring a woman on the roof... Soon I'll have to start calling Greenlight PD because they milk the Truckster as if it was a Skyline!

Wow, Biante seem to be making comeback with the 1:64's! I'll be buying the Coulthard car, even though I'm not the biggest Ford fan. I also read that Biante plan on doing this year's Bathurst winner in 1:64 scale. Brilliant!

No neither am I. But I definitely want one to go with the HRT cars. Great news about the Tekno Bathurst winner as well, have to keep an eye out for it. 👍
Did you ever collect the older Biante 1:64's? Like the 2002-2006 HRT cars? Amongst many others?

Of course! You don't even have to ask, go ahead. 👍
i just stoled all ur pictures. thank u.
Volvo would have been cool but I'm guessing that ain't going to happen. :indiff:
Don't know what that is, but that sounds awesome. Volvo is rare in 1/64.
These strange Canadian ways, let me tell ya...
Andy upset people every other week. Okay, I exaggerate.
I cannot afford to build a super-rare collection like many can as of this moment, but I try to find things that can elicit your interests.
Don't worry about everybody else. If it feels right to you, do it. 👍

But if people appreciate the variety, I could always bring the table back from time to time... You never know. :sly:
Don't make it sound kinky.

...................... I need that in my life!
I mean that's like the fourth or fifth Truckster GL has released, right?
Nobody's actually counting tha....
If you count the black bandit version, it's the fifth.
I stand corrected.

Did you ever collect the older Biante 1:64's? Like the 2002-2006 HRT cars? Amongst many others?

Yeah, I've got a few.

As well as some non HRT ones.
Don't know what that is, but that sounds awesome.

Clicky.
...................... I need that in my life!

What, the 1/12 scale one?

I agree!

Says the guy with the SpongeBob car!

WOW. 👍
Jesus Christ.

I was expecting something that looked really good. This car looks 1000% better than what I expected!
What, the 1/12 scale one?

I agree!
I'm so used to 1/64 minicars I don't think I could lift that up.
Says the guy with the SpongeBob car!
Japan or U.S., you are my neighbor Spacedog. Please don't side with the Canucks!

Jesus Christ.

Yup.

I mentioned that it's probably not going to happen because Volvo are pulling out of the sport at the end of this year. Looks like we'll never get a 1/64 of it. :(
I'm so used to 1/64 minicars I don't think I could lift that up.

👍!
Please don't side with the Canucks!

You're the one who posted it!

Just calling it as I see it. :P

If you count the black bandit version, it's the fifth.

Oh Jesus H. Christ, I do stand corrected. What was going through the mind of Greenlight's employees and employers when they decided to do that!?

Greenlight superior: Ok, I think we have all the possible Family Truckster Variations, we have rewatched the (classic) movie countless times to snatch them all. Guess we call it a day for that one...

Greenlight designer dude: But sir, I have an idea for it...!

GL superior: Oh really? What's that?

GL designer dude: ...paint it black.

GL superior: Perfect, sheer genius. Guess who's on his way to a promotion!

GL designer dude: Yay!

👍

But seriously, if GL has time to milk the Truckster so damm much, why not take the time and add a couple more real-life wagon monsters to their lineup. Things like Buick Roadmasters, Oldsmobile Vista Cruisers... If I had a 1/64 Roadmaster made with the zest of my GL Chevelle, I'd buy a zillion of them!

Don't worry about everybody else. If it feels right to you, do it. 👍

So don't fear being unique and set things up in the way you like? Fair enough, I can understand that. 👍

Don't make it sound kinky.

Have you read the second part of your first quoted sentence in this post? Who's actually sounding kinky here? :sly:

I'm not even a fan of the film or the casting, but even I find that hitch & tow interesting!

Well since I didn't actually share any pics of it, I might as well showcase it for those who are interested;
51036__35867.1464146140.1280.1280.jpg

I had to skip it myself because I was going into the car show with a limited budget, and when I say limited I mean it. This was going for about 20 euros, double the price of the srandard Truckster!

Won some stuff from pallaszg again.

Lost most of the auctions, however I did win this Real-X Skyline.

While this was more of an afterthought when I lost most of what I bid on, this thing is awesome. Nice crisp details. That front is excellent. And it's 1/72 scale, so quite tiny.

Kyoshos from the same batch of auctions often went for double the price of the Real-X cars, probably because Real-X is a lesser known brand and maybe because it's 1/72.

Which is, of course, why I bid on this Lancia Integrale despite the fact that I already have two TLVs and one CMs Delta. Yup, very sensible. :P

As far as Kyoshos go it's not too bad. The wheels look good and the front has pretty good details. Comparing it to TLV or CM's is a waste of time though as those are noticeably better. This does appear to be a different variant to those two (note the rather large wing), so that's nice.
