I didn't know that HW was bringing out the R32 GT-R and Escort WRC again. I wish that these came in singles though, because I really don't want to buy 5 packs when the pack is filled with other cars I don't care for.
Sometimes buying them for for the same price as the whole pack is worth it so you don't have to deal with cars you don't want. With that said, eBay shows a few listings for the Skyline and one for the Escort.
Then again you could just donate what you don't want to Goodwill or something. :)
I got it for the yellow R32. I've also decided to keep the black Beetle, but rest will be going to the De Nephews Unwanted Cars Ditch Program.

Not a big fan of the casting. Real life car's awesome.
I'm up near Tamworth in NSW.
I'm another step closer to finding you, Jarrod. P.S. Toys R Us is about two minutes from me, on the way to almost everything. :P

I know about 4 that are near me - Chadstone, Highpoint, Doncaster and Northland. I'd like to go to each during the holidays so I can actually find some decent HW Premium cars.
Northland is pretty crap all the time, really bad in holidays.
Doncaster (right near me) is scalpers paradise, Chadstone too.
Highpoint is okay.

Since the last time I posted here, I volunteed to help out one of my friends by doing a repair on his car so he could save some money and he told me he'd pay me back in some way. Today he did so by taking me car hunting and paying for everything since I paid for everything his car needed. I'll have the new cars posted tomorrow if I don't get too distracted by other things but for now I have a couple of errors to share. I left them behind for someone else. The bottom one though not really a true error per se is self explanatory but the Camaro had an extremely bent axle and it looked like some excess metal on the rear wheel well. It was unlike any error I've seen before which is why I even bothered taking a pic.

Got mine. GreenLight Tarmac Works/Advan Nissan GT-R

Don't really mind the skinny tires, but are they accurate?(probably not)

You know, for all the (rightful) flak Greenlight's GT-Rs get, that Advan box is pretty rad. And the car itself looks rather cool with the same livery that adorns the cool box... I can agree that the price you paid for it was too much, though, do not worry about that. I would pay between 8-10 dollahs, nothing more than that (and I'm probably being generous).

Also, I wasn't aware you are from Yokohama, Bonsai-jiisan. Therefore, can we say you love Yokohama tires for the obvious reasons?

Edit: I want this so bad....

I'm of the impression that it is an limited release(mine came from Hong Kong!), so I was okay with the price. Like you said, the whole Advan packaging & livery's very cool.

I did! Before I read on Wikipedia that they were headquartered in Tokyo!!

Wow, that looks nice, even if it is a bit small (in the sense that it's only two pit garages, a tower and the standings tower). Imagine a pair of Super Silhouette cars sitting on that pit road... It would make for an awesome picture.

Is that so? Well, even still, I'd try to knock the price down by a few dollars if I could manage it. The casting itself still has flaws that don't justify the price tag, unlike the livery and box...

Well you never know, maybe they have a bit of local Yokohama history in them! Just because the HQ is in Edo doesn't mean the company can't have roots in actual Yokohama...

Had I not hemorrhaged money this fall, I would've gotten it for the asking price today. It's super rare, I have no idea how old it is.

Yeah, the price fluctuation remains to be seen. It may come down few more dollars, I just didn't want to risk missing the boat.

I'm sure it has roots in Yokohama. If they actually started in Tokyo & are calling themselves Yokohama, I would burn their building down.

Looks like it's a Tomicarama from the '70s or '80s, judging by the old formula car and driver on the box. It's definitely not a Tomicarama from the 2000s, that much I can say...

Fair enough, the Advan livery does make this car more desirable than the average GL R35, so it's understandable that you wanted to get your hands on it before the demand got away with most of the cars whilst their prices were cheap.

Woah jii-san, calm down, no need for the arsonist's treatment! :nervous:

Besides, from what I can gather in the Japanese Wikipedia article of the company, they did start out with factories in an area called Hiranuma, so I'd say they do have legit Yokohama roots...

New cars, as promised. All but the Charger and KITT have been cracked open. The bike had an issue where the wheel pins weren't seated all the way so it's now thrown in a "for sale" box I'm putting together.

Felt a little artsy so here you go. Only thing is, I don't know anything about the car other than its Hot Wheels and looks damn perfect.

I was a fan of the mainline of that casting for while... Yours do look familiar. From the "Garage" box set maybe?

Edit: Here it is.

s-l1600.jpg

It was a 30 car set, six cars from each brand(Ford, GM, Chrysler, Ferrari & VW). Pic shows just five, then there were still-carded cars in the top row of the box. Mopar carded vehicle was the Power Wagon. I still have it.
