99% of the cars I have are likely still in the $1~$2 range.

Same. I think the only real exception in my collection is the Vintage Racing 510. Most everything else is pretty worthless.
Those two "regular" cars must've been pretty epic. :grumpy:

Forget the other two, that's still a great for the $uper alone. Wouldn't be able to find it that cheap down here, trust me.👍

Vintage Racing 510 must be the greatest upswing in the recent years.

I wonder how much it's worth now(scared to check).

Looks like around $20. I bought that one slightly high(I did get two cars with it ), but not bad I guess. Car is awesome.

@a6m5, I'll have you to know that you posting that image caused me to laugh so hard that I woke my cat up and now he's angry and wants revenge on you :P
Johnny you are back east, you and your cat needs to go back to sleep.
Yes vrry.
That car is SO UNBELIEVABLY AWESOME loose, I'm going to quote a legend here *ahem* "I don't regret a gaddamn thingggg!!" *toddler cries in Mexican Walmart store*

Here's the engine bay:

The interior only has a silver painted rollcage, and the rest of the parts are unpainted.

Thanks for the pics. 👍

I'm from HK also. There are loads of shops selling Tarmacs. Daboxtoys maybe the exclusive distributor in HK, but not the only shop selling them.

The good shops are all located in Kowloon (SSP, MK, YMT). If you want, I can give you a PM with a list of the shops I go to. If you want the latest releases and pre-orders, there are many Facebook groups that do group buys. In fact getting in on these Facebook groups is the only way to guarantee getting some items and at cost price. Some releases are so hot they are all sold out before release day.
While I don't buy 1/64 cars very frequently, and as such joining those Facebook groups may not be very useful to me, a list of shops in Kowloon selling 1/64s from different manufacturers (preferably those who mainly sell top-tier brands like TLV, Kyosho) might come in handy. So yeah, please PM me with the list if you can. Thanks. :)

I think I will have to buy the R8 LMS from daboxtoys if I ever decide to buy one though, as daboxtoys' shop is closest to where I live. Why must all the good model car stores be located in Kowloon! :ouch:

Yo @Johnny1996, nice set of Mopars. I know it might be a odd choice, but my favorite has to be that Neon (?) drag thing, I'm a sucker for that type of Mopar paintjob...

Look at me, liking a Neon, I bet the Americans are all laughing as I'm writing this.

I'm quite the opposite. I head to HK island to get all the good stuff.

Hung Hing FTW! :P

Though I won't be heading to HK this year...
The only 1/64 stores that I know of in HK Island are Hung Hing and Daboxtoys, and I believe there are way more stores in Kowloon due to the overall cheaper rent there, which just bugs me, as I live in HK Island.

So far the only hobby-related reason I'll go to Kowloon is to order and get replacement parts for my 1/24 plastic kits (still a relative novice :P), but I think it will change as domalorite sends me the list by PM.

Purchased two more TLVs: Honda S800 in gray metal and an Isuzu 117 Coupe in yellow.

TLVs and Auto World bring me much diecast happiness, so I think my diecast collection will focus on those two brands. Collect what makes you happy, right?

M2 Japan cars are hitting Walmarts. Keep an eye out. (in my case the JDM hogger at my Walmart will take them all before I even see them )
Unlike with the hot wheels, quantity shipped are so low, I didn't even leave it to the chance I might see it on store shelves.

I've been asking for JDM M2 for years. Still almost dumbfounded to see a photo like that, with those cars actually on a store shelf.
Collect what makes you happy, righ
Absolutely.
They made so many of these things, there's just always some more to buy!
They at least went out on a high note, and I am happy about that.

Got some good old CM's cars.

GG Photobucket.

Now both my CM's reference pages are no longer on the web. Me wonders if this was the one with all-Japanese writing on the base.

I like it too actually. I remember I got it just because it looked like one of the paint schemes Kasey Kahne had back in the day (2004-05):

I'm glad that you didn't say this to my face, because my instant reaction in the head was something along the lines of go please yourself.

I get the feeling that if we knew each other in real life, you'd be saying that to me. A lot.👍

MBX Caddy looks sweet. Good stuff. 👍

They sucked in their prime. They are unbelievable pain in the ass now.

Is that red van(Chevy?) mainline Matchbox? Nice. Very jealous of the AutoWorld Ford GT40. Really like the white one, but not enough to get one online. If I see it in person, I might get it. 👍
You're lying. :P
I NEVER LIE. I'll PM you my mailing address. Send it to me & I'll prove it to you. I'm so trustworthy, don't worry about nothing.
As I was saying.

I've been checking all week for these things. Finally I see them, and it's just this guy all by himself. Ugh. :ouch:
You actually saw one, cry me a effing river, Jason. I checked my Walmart on the way home. They still have the same boring M2 that won't sell online, or in real life!!

That Auto-Hauler on the bottom gave me an idea for their next JDM casting. Hino tractor trailer Auto-Hauler. :P They would sell out COMPLETELY. I guarantee it.
I get the feeling that if we knew each other in real life, you'd be saying that to me. A lot.👍
No, I usually just get violent with people I know well & love.👍

Oh it's pure perfection. Couldn't leave it behind even if my life depended on it.

Yes and yes. To me both the van and the GT40 are just like the Caddy.

Um... yeah. No thanks.

I still have M2s that have tires not installed properly. Hot Wheels from earlier this year. Matchbox with, at best, Volvos.

Cry me 4 pints.

You're playing with fire. John will set his Somalian pirate friends on you, if you're not careful.
No, I usually just get violent with people I know well & love.👍

Think I prefer being sworn at.

Oh that's right, it is based on a real-life Dodge NASCAR livery, isn't it...? You'd think that me commentating on NASCAR videogame races which featured that #9 car, I wouldn't forget the "Mopar Thunder"... Damm you memory! :ouch:

I thought I grew up in a rough neighborhood, but you may have a point.👍

It won't leave any marks. I guarantee it.
Found out where the rest of them went. Guy I work with took them all.
Can you blame him? Unless he took the duplicates, too. Still, that's funny though that you actually know the person who took them all.
