It’s just a smidge bigger than a regular 1:64.
Talking about proportions - here is a 1:64 Maj as compared to the HW equivalent:

And I shall leave you today with some Jada:

Tried a new location, not sure if I'll use it for future cars but wanted to try it out:

Ah, what a coincidence. I just junked a Subaru of that exact same make. I bought for like 50 cents, it was lacking wheels, tires, wing, everything, but the racing seats, decent windshield and intercooler were good parts, I already trashed the body, just kept the stuff that I could use for customs.

Speaking of Subarus, I saw one of those Hot Wheels Light Speeder thingies (whatever they're called) on my last haul, and it was a light blue WRX STi (not new enough to be an STI :P )!!! I couldn't justify paying $5 for a normal car in fancy packaging though. 👎 Time to find it loose on eBay?

Finally opening up some models. Feeling like Christmas! :D However, I noticed when I opened up my Camaro ZL1...there was an extra bit of plastic on it on the front splitter. Turns out it was an error and quite a bit of plastic was left on it. :yuck:

So I got home from work tonight and the first thing on my mind was to use the bathroom. Yes, has nothing to do with Hot Wheels, just wait. :P Anyway, it turns out that the entire house was out of TP (no explanation needed) so I was given some money to go to the Walgreens on the corner to get some. I drove over there really quick and then walked into the store. The first thing on my mind was to check the toy isle so that's where I went.

Walking up to the single peg of Hot Wheels they had, it looked like a few cars were missing from the middle, so I didn't think much of going through them. I noticed that the second car back from the front was a red '67 Chevelle. Upon a second glance, the paint looked a bit dark, so I reached up and flipped away the car in front of it and did this:

First new Super Treasure Hunt. :D

It's getting better, but I still need to work on ISO or whaever. :dopey:

Well, you certainly deserve it. 👍 God, that's my favorite one, too.

I very seldomly check the drugstores. Maybe 2, 3 times? Ever? I'm thinking that there is good chance I might double that figure this week. :sly:

Speed Machines bro, Speed Machines.;)

Yeah, that's kinda outrageous for those cars, but as a Subie guy, I may sacrifice some cash for one, maybe.

Same with my first G37, nice one the outside, but when I picked it up, it felt kinda light than the other cars and the second G37 I brought just to find out that the windows weren't placed in correctly and it was missing a steering wheel. :ill:

But I'm gonna fix it and maybe modify it as well. Nismo S-Tune G37/Skyline 370GT anyone? :)

@R1600: Nice find on the '67 Chevelle SS there.👍

@AOS: Breathe in.... Breathe out.... That helped me on countless situations. ;)

Here's some of my recent finds:
H3Tyol.jpg

The Green Lantern Challenger has the silver headlights, which I'm presuming makes it rare compared to the ones with the fully black grill/headlights.

I've had no luck when it comes to finding anything from the 2012 series, no shop I've been to has anything new since about November. The main store I go to for Hot Wheels in my hometown (only because they are the only store here with a large range of Hot Wheels) has only just restocked... with the set that included the BTTF Delorean! If my memory is correct, the Delorean was released almost a year ago.

Try using a blank piece of paper, folded in half. That's what I use, as it adds less places to lose focus for the camera, and you get a nice infinite background. Speaking of which:

With my new scooter, I went to 4 new locations today, walked out empty handed from 2 sad to say. The scoot was tiring overall because I'm pretty sure I traveled over 6km today. I did manage to grab a lot of colour variants like the white Ken Block Fiesta, One-77 and Falcon Race Car.. Bought 3 different Fast Cash's in hopes the gold one was special and apparently it's not (checked just now)...

I found the silver Aventador, a blue RX-7, and a Turquoise DBS... except it was packed together in those 10-packs which were $18.... I reluctantly purchased that one.

I also started picking up random fictional cars and the massive pick-up trucks. Usually I say no to these, but I opened up; Walmart was selling them for a dollar!

I'm still at school, got a stuffed backpack full of little cars, will take pics tonight.

Speed Machines bro, Speed Machines.;)

Nahhh, I'm not that clueless. :P It is from the "Light Speeder" series, where the paint of the car is supposed to change depending on the light. I haven o problem with buying $2.50-ish Speed Machines, but spending $5 on what is essentially a normal $1 car is unjustifiable.

Didn't have to buy the big pack, those cars should be available seperately soon.

:grumpy:

Your TH. Hand it over.

Edit: Actually yes I did have to buy it. The one car that receives an "Exclusive Decoration" happened to be a 'Tooned '69 Camaro Z28, in blue with a livery that's not even in Hot Wheels Wikia.... ;)

Pretty much the same with me, I went to Target and K-Mart today looking for 2012's (I picked up a blue Falcon race car and a white 458, at K-mart a few weeks ago) and they both had absolutely nothing there, so I just ended up buying a few I've been missing. :indiff:

Cano - I very excitedly stuffed batteries into it. Nothing happened. Now I’ve got to make it happen - a la mod.

I like the new tampos:

The night shots of the Jet Threats were basically the models laid on a painting (one of my oils); I tried to disguise the shadows when taken in full light but it wasn’t easy - Photoshop is out of the question.

ooo why is this version has black hood on it

Wilson - there are more differences - take a look - also note no ’TH’ just the crossed flags,

It might not look like much, but the one you usually see have wheels with white spokes. It's not an error though.

That Exclusive Camaro I spoke of.

These aren't special, but I don't know the names of them and the cards are long gone. Can someone identify them for me, please?

That backpack must have been heavy!!

I can’t believe the detail on that Camaro. The Generale had better not be awake.

I went down to the local hardware store for supplies and it also happens to be a liquidation center. Well, someone had decided to liquidate MB’s - and I snapped up this for $2.99. A quick google in the store brought up an auction that had it on at a starting bid of $26.95.

There were six of them on the peg - all redheads - my favourite color!

Same store also had these up:

This is what the local Walmart has for MB’s - a four foot display:

Now I'm lost on these new ones called Light Speeders. I know about the color shifting ones, nut I'm kinda new to these. Time to google yet again.

Nice pics photon, I love the one with all of the Lamborghinis at the garage. 👍

Oh yeah those '67 Chevelles. Hide them or AOS will come for you dude. He's serious on that car. :scared::lol:

Hi, Vspec, yeah, I like that Lambo shot, too - I was trying to capture the excitement in a garage if such an event were to really happen; a whole bunch of Lambo’s parked like that, LOL.

More of the usual suspects:

A curiousity - the only car designed by a racing driver at El Segundo:

And the regular one like the rest of the racers got:

Both, I would think, may be fair investments.

What you could have done instead was put your painting up against the wall, and suspend the 2 cars about a foot away from it with fishing line or something transparent, set a light source behind the camera aimed at the cars and painting, and take a picture from that.

I admire the effort but it wasn't fooling me :P

And because I care enough now, I'm keeping track of how many cars I have to date in my sig.
