Edit: Even had I missed out on the Dream Tomica version, I'll always have the Kyosho version. It's probably in my Desert Island Top Ten:

Everytime I see that R30, I think Tomica. That black/red theme is too heavily associated with Tomicas.

Both are from Lionel Racing. Retail is around $8-$10.

Are those the same guys who sells 1/64 NASCARS at Walmart? I have one from Walmart, but it was Spinmasters or someone like that. *checks own blog*

I liked Toyota & Ford, so this was a nice two car set. I got tired of it pretty fast though & sold them off rather quickly.

I liked Toyota & Ford, so this was a nice two car set. I got tired of it pretty fast though & sold them off rather quickly.

Kinda. They have the retail line which is the NASCAR Authentics line (later transferred to Lionel but kept the same name) and there's the Lionel online store cars which are boxed. Both the 28 and 88 originally came from the Lionel online line. The two specific ones that I found are from a World of Wheels car show (88) and a vendor at my local track (28).

So cool. Really nice photo, too. I don't know anything about racing, but I like how those cars in the picture still maintained the look of race cars based on stock vehicles.

Ah, I see it now. I didn't catch that at the initial glance, as I was looking mostly at just one of the two cars.

So I've had my eyes on this Tojiro Ukiya TLV Toyota Sports 800 for a while but haven't bought it since I prefer a stock silver version.

Sure enough, JapanBooster had a silver version available earlier today and jumped on it! Also picked up the lavender 1972 Skyline 2000GT-X.

Need to figure out the display situation, since my work desk is devoted to Auto World...

I've sortof become a collector slowly over the last few years. My son loves them so they've grown on me. Been feverishly anticipating the new F1 GTR in the N case. Local Toys R Us just got them in. So they're out there.

But seriously though, all of those are pretty cool. Especially the Truckster with the Aunt Edna figure. To me at least that's something new from Greenlight, including a figure with a car.

You know, I think you might be obssessed with the Family Truckster. Don't know why, though... Perhaps it's an unjustified hunch of mine that certainly won't be proven by anything you post, really.
Also, damm you damm you damm you damm youuuuu! I wanted to buy the Travel Trailer set first to make you super jelly of me. My most evil of plans, ruined! I hope you're happy...

And now I wait for the inevitable picture where you pile up the three wagons on top of each other and put Aunt Edna at the top of it all... But congrats on the purchase(s), jokes aside. 👍
