No, just don't want to pay $60 for something right now.
Gotcha. I have a pre-order in through Japan Booster. Excited about the car, with some slight reservations due to the plastic parts we saw from pics in this thread.

Paid for the 787 then read this thread :/ great
One collector on Twitter mentioned bent/crooked rear wing attachment or something like that on his TLV-N 787B. He is getting his exchanged. That doesn't make me nervous at all....

Not as bad as @RCKakashi14 Mitsubishi but I don't think this one can be fixed.
I still want it, just don't want to spend $60 right now.I hope I haven't put anyone off buying the 787b.
Actually that doesn't look all that bad to me. Sure it's crooked but unless you're really trying to look for it, you're not going to pick up that it's crooked, at first glance. I can stomach it.
It's $60 + frigging shipping. It should be absolutely perfect. This isn't $10 Kyosho.Actually that doesn't look all that bad to me. Sure it's crooked but unless you're really trying to look for it, you're not going to pick up that it's crooked, at first glance. I can stomach it.
I can't believe it hasn't happened yet! They should make a peasants version of the 787B for people like me that can't buy online or spend a lot on one car, aka a Hot Wheels 787B.

The collector I mentioned earlier, he tweeted that if his 787B looked like yours, he would've kept it.Takara Tomy need to be made aware collectors are not going to accept this.
I like what I'm hearing.I remember I said years ago that I wished Hot Wheels would have made Gran Turismo cars and look what happened. Maybe it'll happen again.
I'm also nervous. It's a long wait for us, too.I agree with you but that one's so slight, it honestly doesn't bother me too much.
*cue mine arriving with the wing on a 45 degree angle*

I hope I haven't put anyone off buying the 787b. It's still a highly detailed and good looking car. I would imagine when some of you receive yours will say "what the hell is that domalorite talking about"
But for me, the expectation, the reputation, and for the price, I expected it to be the best of the best at 1/64 scale. I think everyone will agree that the Silhouettes represent the best 1/64 diecasts. This is no Silhouette.
Looking at it again today and noticed some more issues. I mentioned the paintwork is spotty. The reason is the use of waterslide decals for some of the livery. This should be full on Tampo printing. This car is all about the livery, and cheaping out on production using stickers is an insult to the legendary design.
How are Those plastic side mirrors attached to the base? By melting the plastic! Cool!

I don't believe he took one.Did he post a picture of it? Interested to see exactly how bad it is.
Yeppers.Painfully long.
It'll still be a solid piece to have in your collection. I wouldn't rush to sell it, even if that happens to be the eventual goal. Unless TLV overproduced this thing, it should sell out soon. All up around $90 aud for me for the 787.
I'm hoping I can sell it.
Or don't break down on the last lap (too soon lol).Toyota should be taking notes.

I would adjust it, but if it would risk breaking off, I will end up depressed and regretful.
Even if you plan on selling your 787B, don't panic. Just wait a while. It should go way up in value as time passes, especially if there end up being more cars in the series.

Someone who's looking to make a $200+ car out of it.But who would do that to a $100+ car?
