Excuse me while I go wheelswap one of my Beads with Majorette wheels!
:lol:đź‘Ť Again, this does not surprise me. I'm guessing you're going to go for the vintage '3S' or '3S2' wheels?

I simply do not get tired of this portrait. :lol:đź‘Ť
I know, right?
@Cano captured my likeness perfectly! (thanks man) đź‘Ť
Still freaks me out a little.
Yes, people tend to get like that.. when they're in awe of majesty.

I think I've done it.

Unfortunately, straightening out the piece with the rear lights isn't going to happen.

Just need the R32 and R33 now

I have the first Editions R32 if you're dying to have one, and some more other things.

TBH I know nothing about Majorettes aside from the construction spray-painted cars they sell here. I'm just stirring up poop with y'all (and throwing it too).

Walmart finally came through today. P case on the pegs, Forza bin in the isle. Finally grabbed an orange GT-R but still not happy with the grille tampo. The rest were horrible. Also grabbed the only two Falcon's in the bin. Keeping one, who wants the other?

I just ordered that Forza Falcon last night, but I think it was under $6 shipped, so I did okay. Neat looking release. đź‘Ť
They didn't have the GT350 where I was. And I can agree with that. They're not that too much of a step down from the ones with the full display cases. Speaking of which, there were 20 of them on the shelf and all were some variation of a Volkswagen bus or truck.
I don't care for opening doors & hoods, so I sometimes even prefer the mainlines over their premium stuff!
I like it. Would go well with the 510 rally.
Oh well. At least TLV made some stock Golfs(and they are beautiful!).
JDM anything, is hard to find. I got lucky big time with those two. I think the pegs had only just been restocked.
I still can't get over how I've found more $uper Treasure Hunt over the years compared to mainline Matchbox Land Cruiser.
I know, right?

It's like Nessy has eyes on.... everything. :nervous::lol:

OMG & Jarrod's John Candy gif

Looks pretty good!

That first white Kenmeri's a classic, at least to me. I think it's my all-time favorite GT-R.

My Walmart had the new Type R as well but I passed as I think the real car is ugly. They also had the old Si hatch but I couldn't find one with quality tampos. :(

Yeah my favourite also, the details are amazing.
Actually, I thought they struggled quite a bit around the taillights. Tampos were blurred on maybe all of them I saw.
Shame they're all sold out on AmiAmi. But I should have expected that.
I don't think they go for that much in the secondary market though? And they are AMAZING.

Type-R, is that the black one? I think I kept seeing it in K-Day ads?

Also, I didn't realize that it was the Si (or that they even had Si back then), but that's the white Civic hatch, right? They've struggled with tampos on those cars from the beginning.

It's such a shame they made such a cool casting, but can't seem to learn to apply the tampos on target.

Received my 787B this morning. First thing I did after waking up was to check the car. The box arrived completely intact and free of any damage, which gives me a pretty good impression, especially for my first time ordering something online. The box it came in was a bit difficult to open though, especially since it's got a massive dispatch note glued onto the lids of the box.

Anyway, the car arrived without any damage. The thing that bugs me the most is the misplaced or chipped decals, instead of the slanted rear wing. (Yes, I have this problem too.) Some of the green paint is also chipped, revealing the orange underneath. Overall speaking, it isn't worth the 61 USD I paid for it. For this price, I'd expect every car that comes out of the factory to be spot-on and perfect in every aspect, and the mirrors to not look so cheap. :indiff:

No plans for an exchange, because I don't think I really can apply for it, as the car arrived without any damage. Even if I can, I think it's simply not worth the hassle. Even though I wanted one in a perfect state.

By my observation, most collectors who bought the TLV 787B are about where @GT HP Nut is at. Some are happier with theirs, some are not as satisfied. Refresh my memory @yabiggoose how bad was yours again? I do intend to lay it all down for other collectors to see when I blog my two. It's unfortunate, as this exciting release has been somewhat dramatic for the wrong reasons.

Another thing, I've been wishing lately that I applied grading to all the cars I post on the blog? This 787B, again, for very unfortunate reasons, might be the first one I try grading. Break it down by design, price, parts/assembly quality & all that. My only hesitation on this, I'm like the worst judge with worst eye for these types of tasks. Maybe not totally ignorant, but hardly a qualified grader. Maybe I'll keep it more casual. :D I'll try to do this maybe tonight, or tomorrow. đź‘Ť

Well, got myself a little something while scavenging a bargain bin at a supermarket having a "bargain bin day"...
HW Chevy C10.jpg

Dunno why I got it, but I think it boiled down to the snazzy Max Power-esque paintjob. I also don't know whether I should keep it in its blister of take it out but either way, I dig it. Not often a custom pickup appears in my car collection...

White one, matches the Si as a not so accurate "Then and Now".
Ah, okay. I actually like both the new & old in real life. Don't care too much for the Hot Wheels version of the new, as brand new real life cars(castings) doesn't appeal to me as much as vintage/retro cars. White 80's Civic, that one really hits the spot.

@a6m5 spoiler is wonky and crap unpainted plastic, front a rear body sections have poor fit, wheels are not very accurate, detail is overall pretty poor, mirrors are pathetic and the DIY aerials. All this from a 'premium' brand.

That combined with the fact it cost me ~$90aud just really annoys me. Complete waste of money from a pathetically run company whose evidently trying to further screw the consumer with each consecutive release.

More DIY accessories, higher RRP and a decrease in quality from most releases now are what just anger me now about TLV.

Hell I'd even rate Tomica higher on my ****list now than Lamley. And anyone who knows me on here knows what that means.

Don't get me wrong, Yabi. You know I agree with lot of what you wrote there about Tomytec & 787B. I was just telling Jarrod how I'm way more excited about the new Kyosho 787B I got over the two TLV 787Bs.

Know how busy you with Hulu and everything lately. Just thought I'd quickly help you out with some retrospective grading of some of your older blog posts.

How many Tomica models do you roughly own anyhow?
How's that relevant? I've seen people on here's pictures and other collectors photos.

Seriously what point are you trying to make?

Edit: sick of you anyway. Ignore list.

I'm just gonna leave this here: Rodney King.

Rear wing's straight on my 787Bs, but one of them does have this cowl problem. I'd have to play around with it make it sit right. This pic is intended for my blog, and I thought I had closed the gap, but by the time I moved it around couple of times, I see in the shot that it lifted up little bit again. GJ Tomytec. It's only a $60 hot wheel car.

My exact words: "Oh my god"
Okay, I deserve to be slapped for not seeing this one coming...
You have a disease, but okay, at least a B- probably....
How this grades lower than standard Bellett is beyond me, but to each their own. Next one should be good....
Hmmm....

Huh, the cowl sits perfectly on my 787b.

I'm happy with the purchase. The unpainted plastic doesn't bother me since I don't really see much of a difference unless I'm examining the car. 'DIY' aerials are easy enough to install and I think people are making more of a fuss about it than necessary. I was more displeased with the Galant which, instead of having a moulded roof window just had a decal.
The wing issues are admittedly really bad and should be criticised, but right now there isn't an alternative in 1/64 and I'm happy with owning the best 787b model in this scale.

Of course, I support anyone that decides not to buy future Tomica cars, because they have a monopoly for extremely high detail 1/64 diecast and unless another company starts challenging them or their sales drop, I don't see them upping manufacturing quality any time soon.
