That third pic.👍
I know right? :P I had no idea it did that until I got it.

100%/Black Box era had some really neat cars.
Me too. I obsess over every single set they have because they all look so good. I haven't seen a set that I didn't like, all of them looked special to me.

These era Hot Wheels aren't cheap,
Indeed. I got lucky with the 3 I own, I got them for $5 each. I later seen some other sets in the antique mall and they were more expensive, but they looked good though!

but they don't command stupid money like the RLC cars, Chevy Gassers, or Bluebird
Ugh, those castings are so overrated, the gasser especially. Never cared too much for the Bluebird and I don't really like gassers in general, including that one and not something that excites me, at all. Now RLC cars are cool, but for the kind of money I could pay for them, I could out and buy other castings with that money and be more satisfied with them than some of the things the RLC releases. (exceptions are bound to happen though)
@Sonygamer455 To me it's hard not to love the Deora II in general, as well as the original Deora.
Indeed. Especially when you own the 100% variant like I do.

Here is the other Deora from the same set as the blue one I posted on the last page. (Also posted a few years ago here)

Their sets seems to have the coolest cars to me? I plan on posting one of the sets this week. I think you'll like it. It's one old school set. :D

I'm addicted to those cars, and the prices are market driven, but yeah, little bit out of hand.
Did you wheel swap the red one?
I didn't even notice.. Do we get those in the U.S. yet?

I miss collecting Ferrari Hotwheels through childhood, it sucks that they've lost the licence.

I cant find a brand which makes 1/64 Ferrari's.

Tonight I did a little side by side of Kyosho versus TLV on that 787B. I know, I think we are all little bit sick of this car at this point. Sorry.

I'm still getting that old "Best of Matchbox" series with Dodge A100 & Defenders in my neck of the woods. I think Matchbox distribution in my area's dying. Even the mainlines are scarce these days.
It looks better with the original rims imo.
I think your wheelswap looks better. I didn't like the gold rims to start with though.

Kyosho is still miles better imo.
I'll trade my TLV 787 for it :dopey:
I've come to the conclusion that I do prefer the Kyosho, not because it's superior to TLV, but because the bang-for-buck factor of each car can't even be compared. Also, these removable TLV cowls, even the ones that fit, they don't sit very well. Beating the dead horse here, but really surprising at this price point.

Nope.
What's up with the rear wheels on the Kyosho? They look ridiculously tiny compared to the ones on the TLV.
Good eye! I never noticed that.

Going by the photos, the Kyosho is so much better.
I still think the casting of TLV is sharper, parts quality in many areas are one grade better on TLV than the Kyosho....
but again, super high price is a huge disadvantage, cowl's been a hit & miss at best, and the wing issue is just frigging embarrassing. Just my take on this.

I don't too, but in this case, the gold rims matches the car trim and color.

On that 787B, i think Kyosho looks slightly better, the rear wheels looks smaller though.

I'm currently looking for old Honda ATV (including three wheelers) and motorcycle (including dirt bikes) castings and/or castings that feature them. I was wondering if anyone happened to know of any such castings other than the Honda motorcycle with trailer I posted a while ago (see spoiler if you need a refresher) and Dodge Rampage?

I believe Matchbox may have produced a motorcycle or two in the past that wasn't quite 1:64 scale, so any scale will work as close to or as far from 1:64 as it gets.

EDIT: This would be the not quite 1:64 motorcycle I was referring to. :)

Quick question, how's M2 Machines quality compared to Greenlight ?

That Supernatural Impala looks neat, but so is the M2 VW Microbus, both similar price here.

Greenlight is hit or miss. No opening features (except hood I think). Some great castings, but they also have mostly horrible castings. M2's best series are the "Auto Drivers" cars with no opening features. Lines are much cleaner.

Edit: Here's a good example of a clean "Auto Drivers" car:

"Kyosho is so much better than TLV"

Yeah well my Kyosho is better than your Kyosho...

We can go down that route if we so please.

Or you can look at this:

Wow these photos look so much better on a Mac. The PC I'm sharing these to you from has shadows that are too light.

Oh It's a Bugzees. Cut all ties with TLV and invest in Bugzees! Half the price of the 787B, and comes with a base and cover! No bent wing either (unless your name is Shinji)!
