1/64 Model Collectors Thread

Not really, I started filling up a storage bin with it, took pictures and started a prize giveaway (nothing tangible) on another forum for whomever guess the amount of cars are in it without going over. The rest I filled up in another bin, everything being temporary storage. Still have to buy those translucent containers

As for the error, very nice catch. I was trying to spot what it was before reading what your wrote and it took a while to notice it.

By the way, do you guys have the Buzzerk yet? The car with a circular saw in the center? I recorded the cool thing about it, but the video is all messed up for some reason so I guess I can't show you guys that the blade extrudes out the bottom of the car touching the surface the car is standing on so that when the car moves, the blade also rotates with it. *takes deep breath*

Video looks old, but that's not a surprise the employees are taking them. That's kind of why they separated the supers this year into the regular mainline so that they wouldn't be as noticeable without the green stripe.

Edit: I did buy some cars tonight on the way home. Will post a pic after I finish testing a car in GT5.

Like R1600T said, every night. The Walmarts here usually have everything on the floor by 10 PM and unbox about an hour or two after that. But, it's not always new mainlines, new Boulevard, etc. Sometimes it's just track sets and whatnot.

I did the same thing I did last time. Hit multiple Walmart early in the morning(wasn't working today). While I still didn't find the extra Vintage Racing 510, excluding the white Furai, I found everything else! And on top of it, my second ever Treasure Hunt(still no super).

I finally ran into the 80's AE86 at the last store. There were three, and I was really tempted to grab all three. Kenmeri, I saw some(Medigo!). There was one bin, the same one I found the TH, that had way over twenty of BMW 2002's. I don't know what that was about.

This was the only Mystery Car I wanted. I was doing that feely thing over the bag, I got it only on the second try!

Yeah, the one I got the TH in, it was a four-sided case(found the TH on the last side, in the bottom row!) and it looked new. Somebody had gone through it already though, but it could've been the store worker, as they also had new cars hung on the pegboard.

M-Power - Thanks! That AE86, I finally got it after probably over a month of looking around.

R1600 - With Walmart, looks like they are always restocking. I appreciate you turning me toward that store, because without them, I wouldn't have found half the stuff I've been trying to hunt down. With the other local stores around here, it is a lot of wasted time(though I shop there anyway), and I never find anything.

I never knew how desirable the AE86 was from the Decades series. >_> By the way, if you really wanted to find the Challenger, should have just looked at the number to make it easier for yourself. Still looking around for the Buick Grand National and K.I.T.T. (Looks like I've become the unofficial gtplanet Kenmeri obsessed freak)

Last time I checked, the mystery cars at my Walmart are all gone, except for some left over undesirable ones. Hoping that Toys R Us and Target have finally restocked on their pegs, since last time I checked there was nothing new or interesting. I'm pretty sure they should have by now... Which stores will these four sided shippers most likely be at?

And lastly, on a side note. I was able to pull my friend back into collecting hot wheels! Tomorrow after work we're planning on going to multiple stores for some hunting. He's an old childhood friend of mine and probably my only close gearhead friend that I know. (Back then, we ALWAYS played with our hot wheels during indoor recess ) Can't wait for tomorrow!

I made a new lighting setup just about an hour ago or so and I'm currently taking shots of every single car I have. I personally think it's super super stunning. I'm not done yet, but my fist set of batteries died so I'm taking a quick break before going back for round 2.
