Still got another 200 cars to go though!

Ok.... But I'm still wating. :P

Tell that to Medigo. I got mine(I think I bought like four of those) while back, and probably every single Hot Wheel thing I check has at least one of those, sometimes like ten.

Tonight, I had to go shop, so I looked around for Hot Wheels, and one thing's for sure, Vintage Racing is gone. At least in my area. One store chain that did have brand new stock, even as recent as last weekend?, they must've been old stock.

No blue RX-7, but no biggie. I did try that Mystery Car technique, but it must've been the older series, as I couldn't find the IROC Camaro I was interested in. I did however find one car I wanted, and they actually had it in stock:

The End.

A nice golden El Camino, nice.

Well I went for a walk just to get out of the house today, and I decided to walk to my nearest grocery store to see some of their cars......

SCORED another Hakosuka KPGC10, Ferarri 458 and.......

WARNING! To the people who don't have this car, don't read at your own risk.......

A Back To The Future DMC DeLoren Time Machine! Last one they had in stock. :D:tup:

Get jelly right about........... Now. :mischievous:👍

Back to the Future, I picked up another one a week or two ago, but the Hakosuka, I have not seen in a long time. Nice find, maybe the last one you'll see in a store!

I throw both of those away at every supermarket I go to. Specially the DeLorean, it's like a plague. And I have 3 Hakos torn appart right now, wating for wheelswap/paint/etc.

I got four more cars when I went shopping

A 2012 Code Cars C6 Corvette, a 2012 HW Performance Dodge Viper GTS-R and a pair of Ferrari 458's one of which will be going to a young cousin of mine who has a thing for Ferraris

Yep, the C10 is one rare Skyline. Lucky this one is my third one :D. I'm still keeping my eye out for two more.

Because I want to have one for collector value, one opened, two customed in a different JNC livery than the green #17 car and one customized as a street version combining old school muscle and JDM together(i.e. Dodge Charger RT, Cornet SuperBee stripes with the"I Love Skyline" decal replacing the RT at the back, and "S20 Inline 6" on the hood.)

This isn't the only car that I want as duplicates. I still need to find more Kenmeris, KITTs, FB RX7s to modify, open as a orginial and collectors value.

@Cano: U Mad Bro:boggled:? Don't discard the BTTF DeLoren dude. It's a time machine, you can time travel. :D Just take it easy with the plutonium.

HUGE PICTURES WARNING!

Bought some new stuff last weekend. Decided I'd use a similar setup to Car-less' for my pictures. I hope you don't mind Car-less:
Sorry for the large amount of pictures.
Would have liked it if you resized them before posting...

but anyway, your photos would look 3 times better if we didn't see the edge of the lego playset... get another 2 boards so we don't get the depiction you're taking pictures on your carpet 👍

Ok.... But I'm still wating. :P
Well, I don't know what wating is, but I should be available to upload pics by Wednesday.

Really want to find the Impreza WRX STI :dopey:

VERY GOOD HUNT, Smiglo!!! Some of those are pretty hard to come by, I'd say the rarest would the 205 Turbo from Matchbox, and it's in great shape too. The Lledo is also awesome.

Went out on my run today. And the local Walmart had the four sided shipper! :D As soon as I turned towards the aisle, I saw it there, waiting to be raided. However, it already had been raided... At most four cars in each shelf... :( Extremely depressing... Still no sign of KITT. Along with that, Matchbox seems to almost always be dead. Ugh! Feels like there's some kind of hoarder going around buying all the interesting matchbox and leaving nothing but Nissan Cubes, Honda Insights, and construction stuff. Ended up getting these:

I managed to find these around my house. :)
Maisto F40 and some fantasy Hot Wheels that I don't remember.

The 2008 Speed Racer toy that came with cereal (can't remember which one at the moment) still in it's package.

That's about all that's out right now. For some reason Matchbox this year is heavy into off road trucks and heavy machinery. Just a couple cars sprinkled in here or there.

Oh ok, thought it was just something in my local area. Since most other posts that I've seen seemed more interesting. :/ Another thing sad about starting my collection this year... Might go for the Aston Martin DBS Volante though.

Mine's way more beat up. :P

I do wonder what kind of Matchbox line up actually exist. Like you, I always see same crap over & over. There were some cool stuff months ago or so. Miura, 80's 4Runner, etc., etc. Absolutely loved the'69 Cadillac DeVille. Almost forgot, there was the original Land Cruiser, too. Absolutely money.

Still no Kenmeri!? Impossible!

Still no Kenmeri... -_- I have found a couple matchbox 4Runners and Europa's. But that's about it. :/ Some Caterhams have been appearing though. :)

I love Lotus Europa. I blame the manga, but this one would call the Initial D and its' hachiroku a punk!

Ack. I want the wheels in that ZR1 for my new Mini project.

Some of those cars look really cool, but I don't know why they have to be slightly larger, compared to the hot wheels & matchbox. Especially at Walmart, they have tons of those almost same scale, but not quite......

I still want the Red Bull F1!!! Can they normally be bought in Walmart? because I can never seem to find any.

Me too, I've never seen one. Was it the Canadian members who were finding them in stores?

I hope you guys will have jelly ready for me tomorrow... :D

Me Jelly?

Nope.

You Jelly?

On a blanket in the middle are around 60 trays of about 20 loose cars.
Surrounding the blanket are 18 pinboards each holding 30 carded cars.
On top of boxes at the back, and along the front of the blanket are a variety of more unusual pieces.
Not pictured are two more boxes of unusual stuff that was more hassle to unpack that it would be worth.

This photo "only" took around 2 hours to setup, packup and shift boxes in/out of the house!

Car-less - you bastard. How could you have a userID like that? What a great collection

When I first joined GTP I did not own a motor vehicle for getting about, thus I was car-less.

Speed Machines have been discontinued in the USA. I haven't seen any in stores in months.

In Mexico, it's the only "premium" series currently for sale at supermarkets. It sucks.

Around here the supermarkets don't carry any premium series. It's usually a choice of basic Hotwheels, or their own brand. To make matters worse, the nearest Toys'R'Us is about 90 minutes drive each way. The joys of living out in the sticks!

When I read this I thought you meant the "lots of thumbnails linking to larger pictures" and was ready to say "no problem, I wish more people would do it too"...

...and I totally agree with this. Part of the reason behind my using Lego roadplates was to hide the surrounding mess. It helps to focus attention on the cars rather than whats going on around the rest of the room.

Go for it, use a few more plates (if you have them) and crop the edges of your pictures to cut out any distractions. Also try to leave a bit more space between the cars so that they aren't hiding behind each other.

[does some quick counting and a bit of maths]

380ish cars in one year is about 2.5 times as many as I bought this year. Give it another 5 years and you should have me beat on sheer numbers, though age, quality and rarity are something else.

Mother%20of%20God.jpg

amazing. And I don't know if it's good or, er, way sad, that I can name most of those loose cars by name and brand looking at that small picture.

amazing collection, Car-less. Care to share the big-ass version of that?

I'd love to do that, but sadly those were all I have. The only other Lego board I have which is that size is blue, and I thought that wouldn't look realistic.

So many restoreable cars in there.

I know, right? I've got heaps of ideas for most of them.

Buy more at Toys R Us! :D

I only have just over 300...don't know where you got that number from. And I only bought this much because a lot of them already exist, which you probably would have already obtained YEARS ago. This is just me catching-up. I can't overtake you unless you buy less cars than me that are released 2012 and later [/logic]

I've never seen them at Walmart, Schwartz - Walmart doesn"t really have a huge selection anyway. The other Department Stores around here don"t carry them either. In fact the only time I've seen the Majorette Red Bull RB6s has been at Toys"R"Us. IIRC it was around Oct 2011 that they first hit the shelves here.
There are none left now; I've not seen the RB6s since, though all the other models that came out are often stocked. Could be the RB5s disappearing off the pallet.

The #5 Vettel comes in a 3-Pack. The #6 Webber comes in singles - as shown:

Edit: AOS- says Vettel also comes in singles - so keep an eye out. Also found out that the Citröen comes in two liveries for both French and Spanish drivers.

Seen only one Ken Meri so far, a6m5. I need a couple more - that car screams for modding. I guess the market will be flooded soon enough, like the DMC. Hopefully!

As for Matchbox - what can I say - I just love them. There are quite a few road cars, though. Here's one of my favourites:

Car-less...... YOU...YOU.......YOU. I'm speechless right now. :eek::drool:

So tell me, all of these cars are from your childhood combined with recent years? Because if you have 380+ (400, I rounded your number to the nearest hundred) cars right there. That must mean you have more, mostly older ones or that's the main total. So, do you have more? If so, me want to see nao.

Oh yeah, where did you get the Lego roadplates from? I used to have the Hot Wheels City tracks, but gave those away to a friend. And I may want to pick up some road tracks up again.

Also, can you buy a large set with Lego people only instead of paying cash for the buildsets that always have people? I would love to buy them for a city like theme just for fun. Thanks.

Cano

Amazing collection, though? Not-so car-less after all!

I have over 150 cars and more counting in my collection total. I'm rebuilding my HW cars again, some of the cars I still had from childhood are added in the total amount. I have to count them again.

I used to have way over 700 cars, close to a thousand nearly. But I either gave them away or lost them :(.

So the collection is growing again.... IT'S GROWING MUAHAHAHA!!!!!
