Hit a few stores on the way to work, didn't find squat except for this:

Those bins must be a pain to look through, $miglo.

On my way back from work, I thought I'd stop by at the Family Dollar store to see if they carry Hot Wheels and they do! Only problem is...they're $1.25... More expensive than Toys R Us. Only had four singles (one of which was the blue VW Brasilia) and two five packs. I could possibly ask the employees if they have any more? 💡 Probably not worth it if it's that much more expensive.

Great finds, photonrider! A bit of a heads up: open up those Regals! It has a removeable hood which has a fairly detailed engine.

SVX - Are you talking about the Boulevard cars? This one seems immovable.

I'm liking that Trash King, must try and get me one of those next time I'm out.

Robin - I love the MB construction vehicles - have lots - but saw this only for the first time. Usually it's the same products that are displayed, ordered probably off the previous clerk's tick marks on the polling sheet.

I saw an MX-5 at my local flea market... Wanted to purchase it but I didn't have any more money! :grumpy:

GT5 killed me for the Miata.

sorry guys, but that just geting ridiculous :)

one TH per bin, not bad at all, who would thought Poland got so much to offer :)

$migloooooooHHH!! WTH???
Trade you a jar of pickles for that. Kosher. Promise. :sly:
I got three humungous bars of Polish chocolate, too, for my Birthday - but hey, they're yours!

I am jealous
Welcome to the Club, girl. ;) (BTW - that's just an 'english' saying - as in: 'Misery loves company.' :)

OT: Here's a bunch of Maistos in their wrap. This is part of my Maisto collection - not a lot.

I love the construction vehicles too! unfortunately where I go to get Matchbox they have a very limited amount (like one big basket) and it doesn't get restocked until totally empty which can take ages because its a supermarket which sells very few unless its like school holidays.

I really want the drinks delivery truck, the street washer and the RV as well some other building site vehicles but they usually just have just cars :ouch: Also wish I could get hold of some 2011 models but I think that boat has sailed.

Maisto do some interesting castings and sometimes cars that no one else does which is great. I just wish they would put better wheels on the fresh metal series, older cars used to have Tomica style wheels which were better.

Robin.

Yeah, Maisto cars can be downright nasty at times, but there are also many that presents some really nice change of pace. That blue 80's looking race car is really kick ass. 👍 Harry, I like your orange Charger from earlier. Wow. If I don't have it, I need to find it.

R1600 - I do like the Miata. Love the "Miata" logo, + wheels/tires. Ranchero is one of the few mystery models I've been looking for, but so far no-go. Nice find. 👍

Finally, $miglo is being ridiculous. His cars... I mean... Ridiculous. I'm just trying to say that he needs to go to jail, because obviously, it's not fair!

I remember having that Miata wayyy back in the day. It's also quite large compared to the other Hot Wheels Miata if I remember correctly.

Initially, I got the impression that it was really tiny, but yeah, I looked at the pic again and I think you are right.

OK, I picked up my eBay cars + Matchbox cars I've bought:

Love this car. Worth every penny($7.25?):

My new favorite..... it's a forklift!:

P.S. Mad props to Cano for pointing out the Woodie Wagon. I didn't even know it existed, but I've been wishing they came out with a nice woodie. 👍

Nice Miata you got there R1600. That car brings back so much memories as a kid growing up. I had two of them, but with different wheels. I don't remember seeing the green looking ones, only the chrome wheels. Wish HW would make the Miata/MX-5 again.

@Photonrider: I'm liking your orange Charger RT from HW and the red Maisto one. I got a blue RT. So I gonna keep a good eye out for them.

So how did the HW Charger RT run on the 1/4 mile?

You got a 900+hp of Detroit muscle there. A beast.

Yes.That's a 2009 old model
.. I got the new catalog but it seems there won't be 2012 new facelifted GTR this time :(

Aww, I wish they did make it. :( Well I'm off finding the rest of 2009s then. Oh yeah keep your eyes on the BNR34 GTR of 2010 NM. I have it Bay Side Blue :D.

I did a Walmart run this morning, hoping for the new 2012 stuff like blue RX-7, that dead driver Indy Car, etc., but absolutely nothing. In fact, it was probably the worst Hot Wheels run ever. After FIVE Walmart, I had that made-up Toyota GTOne-looking car I've been eyeing, and also Civic Si.

On the way home, hit the grocery store & another store. Scored Vintage Racing Parnelli I don't care for, but on clearance :sly: also "Garage" '65 Comet, which is pretty badass and "Boulevard" GTO Judge, just because I wanted to buy something.

Final stretch, dinky Albertson's(grocery store chain), they are stocked up with '11 Hot Wheels, like year 2012 have yet to arrive. As I start going through bunch of Hakosuka and other familiar '11 cars, I see the Treasure Hunt 240Z...... then another '11 Treasure Hunt Chevelle. What a weird day. I very rarely run into TH's, so I'm glad I was persistent this morning. My third and fourth Treasure Hunt, count it! I've yet to find any Super TH's.

P.S. For the first time ever, I saw a Matchbox dump bin. Pretty much the saddest thing, ever. You fellow collectors are aware of how few models they actually have circulating currently. No more cool stuff like the Miura, Europa, '69 Deville, the original Land Cruiser, etc., etc. It's the same damn thing, nothing new or interesting, but a huge dump bin full. Tractor & forklift are cool, but I already got them! :dopey:

P.P.S. I got four Hot Wheels at Albertson's. Their price on the cars? $1.68. EACH.

GROUND FX
You rock !!
:sly:

I have yet to see one of these(do have the silver one).
One of those childhood dream cars, so I loved this one. Mine I could swear the front wheels were much smaller than the rear? In this pic, they seem about even.... If they came with wheel/tire like the one's on the older Camaro(above), that would've be so sweet!

Bonus pics:

"Garage" Mercury Comet Cyclone - I really like this one.

IMG_0415.jpg

Maisto Porsche 956 - Looks very nice in this pic, but it looks pretty horrible from certain angles. This guy did a number on this car.

^ I've got the white/blue version. Bought during the 90s and is in pretty good condition, has a few more decals on it than those versions. The Bilstein logo and Porsche down the sides.

The one I linked at the very bottom, that one is white with blue stripes. Similar, or maybe same color?

Interesting...... While I don't like how a car like this has to get bling'd, it is nice that they are recycling a throwback classic cast like this one. The car is definitely from back when...... :D

Dude, they've had woodies since the very beggining, starting with the model A redline from 1969:

Then the classic 40 Ford woody in 1979, which could be found with Real Riders and has had countless variations over the years:

Woodys were put on hold for quite a time until the Surf Crate came out in 2000:

Then came the 37 Ford, which was first released as an Ultra Hot car, and we saw it a couple years ago as a TH/$TH:

And of course, several woodies were also tooled for the high-end 100% Hot Wheels lineup, such as:

and even this fantastic 1:18 Mercury:

The woodie Passion is the most recent of them all.

I figured that. I've also seen a handful before, but not really the style I like, or the quality were lacking big time(from 2011-ish?). This Passion one's nearly perfect for my taste. 👍

Great finds a6m5! Got more Hakosukas? :P
I had one in my hand, then I found the treasure hunts. :P

Thanks to you guys, I am getting the itch. Saw the biggest display for 88 cent Hot Wheels at Wal Mart a bit ago. Grabbed two off the top row with barely looking, so I didn't spend too much money.

I saw the other one too but wanted to grab this one first. Paid all of $3.99 for it with shipping. That eBay store also had an older blue-card Porsche that I could have combined shipping and got for another ~$1.50 but when I clicked on that auction it kept telling me the page wasn't available. Didn't want to miss out on the Miata so I just bought it.
