Look, if you really want to give it a new look but do not want to respray it, take it apart and then, with nail polish remover and some cotton q-tips take away the tampos ca-re-fu-lly, specially in the edges where the acetone might get to the purple finish in a more agressive way.
Then, with alcohol ONLY and moar q-tips rub away in the golden finish of the engine VERY carefully. Try this in a part of the piece that doesn't show to see if the golden finish will come off AND the chrome will stay. A friend of mine recently introduced me to this trick that I didin't know. With a gentle touch you can loose the gold and keep the chrome on most of these finishes.
:0 holy hell YES. Amazing cut. Yeah, moar info.
Thanks,
Cano! A few quick tips there that really help.

Wilson's Aventador . . .Wilsooooooooon! Dammit.
What a gorgeous car. Mine, mine. No, no one's ever posted that before - I've read this thread from start to end.

Phew!! almost did it. I love that colour - but wonder what it looks like under halogen - or at least daylight.
Yes, the other one was blue, and yes metallic, too, even though it looked black - it was lack of light.
Also -

what market? Where? How much? Are there more? Is it customised? Factory model, etc?
If not just post another batmobile.
It's cool.
$miglo - in case you're still waiting for an answer - the closest thing I have to some of that stuff in the bags you scored is this:
Made in China, cheap, some models are nice - one looks suspiciously like a Stratos! The bike is nice, too. Don't know the manuf. Maybe, Cano?
There are lots of these packs around - even 28 packs.
And just for show and tell:
Master Chief drives a customised Saleen when he vists to chat with the local peacemakers.
