Congrats bro! 👍
Thanks for bringing back memories of the Z32. Man I have to buy another one soon. That car was the coolest one, next to the pink interior Miata.

Yes. I have lots of pics of that - will upload a few better angles later.

Someone who collect hotwheels livery will definitely need this

Nice picks, M-Power. BTW - Give up the JW Red, and now go for the Black! ;)

and another T-Bucket from the Offical Hotwheels Collectors event that was held in Yokohama Japan in 2002. This T-Bucket is painted in a Mooneyes livery and also has real riders

What a beauty.

I have yet to ever find a Treasure Hunt so it doesn't really make a difference for me. :sly:
Neither have I. Like I said in a earlier post, the only TH in my collection is the Studebaker Avanti that I got off E-Bay , at least now I may have a chance to finally see one in the wild.

Treasure hunts have never really interested me - in fact I have given a few off to toddlers, mixed with regulars. I can't really see it as an investment - how many does one have to sell to make up a month's rent? Or buy a used RL car? If it was an RLBB or one of the seven rare Dodgers, yeah, I may look up and take notice - otherwise it's just another harder to find car in the collection. I prefer to lay out the extra money on the better quality cars - since I'm mostly into toying with them, instead of eBaying. Did that once, gave it up now. Sat in front of my comp ten years in a row watching my store's auctions, or trying to snipe a bid - and spending more than I made.

I have a massive post in the works for this evening encompassing the last 6 weeks of picking up tendon whatnot. Several things I've either not seem posted here or haven't seen in general outside of three ones I have. I'll do my best to group things together as I've got nearly 50 cars/trucks to list.

Just make sure the dog is already walked, okay? ;)

More a future investment than an immediate one. Value depends on the specific TH really. Most are worth $10-15, and then there are a few that could be worth as much as $300-400. ('67 Camaro from '95) They are produced in more limited numbers than the regular releases, can't remember the exact numbers though. Think it's somewhere around 30,000 cars for each release. There's also the thrill of finding one when you are out hunting. :)

If you don't see new cars at Walmart, Kmart, or Target then Toys'R'Us definitely won't have them. I think Toys'R'Us actually skips case codes. I stick to Walmart and Kmart for new cars.

Haven't went on a hunt in a week or two, so I thought I'd go Thursday. Decided to check out my gold mine of a discount store that puts up Hot Wheels from the 90's. Then headed over across the street to another mom and pop discount store and finally found a 2012 T-Hunt. :)

This is all my wallet let me have.

Well, I'm the same way. If I found a Super T-Hunt I'd still unpack it and play with it, and I treat myself to higher-quality but more expensive models like M2 Machines ($6 or so), Speed Machines, and so on, and unpack those too. I've just always wanted to find one for the satisfaction of having it. 👍 Plus, some of them look absolutely killer.

You don't need bright backdrops, you just need more light with your cute waved paper.

I'm limited on white light... I can get a ton of light, but it all has to be warm lighting which I don't like on blue backdrops.

Since you guys aren't posting anything, allow me to post what I just built out of foamcore:

I didn't make each floor flush with the border because I one; got lazy, and two; looks like a balcony ledge. :D

Ah, pretty cool for an afternoon project. How solid it is?

Ergh, I'd have to have like 50 of those built in order to absolutely obliterate my walls.

^This = :)👍

It's always a rush when looking out for a TH car. You against millions of collectors who desire that car in their collection. Who's gonna be the first to claim? :D

Since I look for real life cars in the TH series, those are the ones that will be somewhat rare than the rest of the TH cars. So I always keep a lookout when I go out.

Count me in as well. I don't collect them for value, only if I buy more than one of the same car, then yeah. But it depends on the car.

@AOS: Nice shelf bro. Now you got me thinking of what to do with my cars out of their packages when I can find a place to build some shelves.

Nice display case/ shelf AOS 👍, i like the ledges but also think it would've looked good flush, with maybe the sides and bottom edges extended, so you could have mad some channels and drop in a small clear sheet of thin gauge acrylic or polycarbonate.

OH MY GOD!!! I remember that game so much! Loved that donut level! Speaking of which, does anyone remember the PC slot car racing game that hot wheels had? That stuff was awesome, while it lasted...

Yes and here are a few more awesome hot wheels games that came out that time(that I have)

Oh! Gawd . . . Frostyboys, the memories, the memories . . . where are all those playsets now . . .
I am, of course, at the stage where I am constructing my own - mostly into various dioramas now - and ZipZaps! The sepia-toned photo I posted earlier was made with lots of Foamcore (also called Foamboard), plasticine and premade ZipZap barriers. I have been using Foamcore for well over a decade - first experienced it in the Ad industry, and then later when I was into my 'window-dresser' phase of Merchandising. Foamcore is very strong, lightweight and cheap - I could easily purchase and mail 10 sheets to Cano without causing a dent in my wallet, let alone my bank account. It is made of three layers - an inner core of polystyrene which is sandwiched between two layers of white or black-matte clay-coated paper. People use it for everything from framing to 3D sculpture - the latter being what I use it mostly for. As for racking and shelving - it is an absolutely super material for that - and I have built many a rack to hold up even fairly heavy products in a window display.
One thing - it does NOT like moisture - and even high humidity can cause it to warp - let alone painting it with any waterborne paints. Alkyds fare better.
Here's a construction with Foamcore:

Here's a pic of the basic Foamcore construction tools - a Glue gun and sharp blade. And some shopped up Foamcore.

AOS- Fine work, lad! Nice cars on that rack, too. Oh - and in case my humble opinion matters - your photos are improving no end! ;)

I still have my 'Turbo Racing' CD, that game was loads of fun.. I could see it giving you a seizure though if you're prone to those type of things . & I remember Planet Hot Wheels, that was an amazing game. WHY they got rid of it is beyond me.

Duuude. I spent SO much time playing Stunt Track Driver 2 back in the day. Such a great game. I never owned any of the others but my friend had World Racing and Velocity X, and I spent a LOT of time playing those. Velocity X was so much fun.

On another note, all those cars I said I must have in my last post? Found them all, all in the same rack at the Walmart. Bought a couple of others and walked away with 11 cars. 👍

I didn't know any of these existed. I played mega race.

That looks amazing AOS. How long did it take you to make it?
Umm.... *counts fingers*... around 5 hours? Reckon it would've been 3 to 4 if I didn't cut the platforms the wrong length, twice.
so you could have made this and that.
You're right; I could have made it look way more fancier, but for something I didn't want to spend more than a day on, I wasn't going to bother.

Still looks pretty damn good for just a days work AOS 👍

 Just had a look over at HWC sneak peeks, they're doing a bosozoku car.

Ah so they finally previewed the Bad Manga! I had seen it in the poster and it looked pretty legit. Let's go see.

EDIT: It's awesome. It's pretty accurate with the Boso madness! I was thinking of turning a kenmeri into a sharknose car, but HW did the work already. I have a set of small, Work Equip 01 lookalikes that will be going in one of those once they hit the shelves here.

Well, I didn't use any liquid so I'm confident to say it's 100% solid.

Seriously, it's just dinky little cars being held up; foamcore will suffice. The platforms are slotted into the columns so that's tons of structural support right there.

I've built a bigger shelf entirely out of foam holding a mass of over 3 lbs on a 20x30" plane with 3 1.25" horizontal support beams (which are also made of foam), and it's still holding it up after 5-6 months. It's warped a bit like I expected, but it's still pretty strong for just foamcore and hot glue. ;)

I'm so hyped for it! I love bosozoku style. I'm actually going to try to make a bosozoku exhaust for my xB custom.

Btw, I have given up the JW, photonrider.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SEARCH UP 'BAD MANGA' ON GOOGLE IMAGES. EVEN WITH 'HOTWHEELS' IN THE NAME...

:yuck:

My thoughts on eBay when it comes to new releases =

Anyone know what they based that car off of? Kind of looks like a Skyline.

Um . . you know that we'll all run off to check that now.

Like I did. Bad, bad manga! Now I've lost my precious mental virginity.

Well - my diorama of Harrisburg is coming along:
