Check the link to the '67 Camaro TH I posted. Top left corner, 10,000 produced. ;)

Ah, then it was 10k

Odd still, I clearly remembered it was 5k. Whatever, those were really hard to find.

Also, welcome new customizer. Crop by to the other thread as pointed by these guys here, it's always good to have more customizers around!

EDIT: Crop

Lets have another photodump:

They have? I remember still seeing some good ones in my side of town.

ACK! THE SIKU COMBI!

Dude, I think this is the first time we can confirm that we might have bid on the same lot. I bid on one that had that Siku Combi pick up not long ago. I'll have to wait to see what other ars you have in there, but the chances are higher than ever haha

As for Car-Less pic dump: ooooo the Swoop Tops! I have never seen those! Awesome! Hoiw do they work? The 968 is sweet!!

I just tried to look them up online, and it seems I might be the authority on these!
Google turned up loads of craft, clothing and aquarium stuff.
Google images was mostly the same, but with a few relevant images...

1) A german catalogue.
2 & 3) a couple of dodgy eBay listings.
4 & 5) My pictures in this thread!

Looks like the ÂŁ25 I payed for the American pair may well have been worth it.

Anyway, how they work is a bit like the Hotwheels crack-ups but without the spring action. You lift the rear bodywork and then rotate the top between hardtop and open top. A picture is worth 1000 words, so I'll try and get one tommorrow during daylight hours.

I have decided that tonight, I will pull out all my hotwheels cars and inventory them. One by one. Yay for me.

Enjoy. I just hope it goes quicker than my attempts. A cursory inventory of my old collection took a couple of months all those years ago and I had a couple of books to help me. This time around I don't expect to be finished before the end of the summer. Ok, so I am also trying to photograph and value them all at the same time.

Those Swop Tops are amazing id love to get some of them. I just brought a Zender Fact 4 with 250 clam shell cases from america. Will post pics of the Zender when it gets here. I also have ordered a 1:18th Mazda 787B Gran Turismo Stealth Edition pics will be in the model thread when it gets here

Something new, but pretty much pointless for us collectors... :indiff: (Unless you like collecting different packaging)

Only thing that may interest me is the different wheel variations.

Awesome, I'll early await for it. I'm really curious about them. Quite the rare stuff you've got there!

As promised here's some pics of my other Matchbox 1.43 that I found.

002 by VC SL/E, on Flickr
Mercedes 190E (minus the steering wheel )

And a few Hot Wheels that I found,

004 by VC SL/E, on Flickr
'57 Chev and some sort of Woodie.

And a couple of Baja Bugs.

I'm still missing that yellow woodie, got dammit.

Well, here is how my boxes catalog looks.

folder.jpg

There are 17 small boxes, two big-ass boxes and a big Tara case catalogued with pictures of what's inside each by "layers" of cars, like 5 layers each. Each box has the number of it's corresponding folder written in its four faces. This way, when something comes in I just reference the pic to see if it's a repeat or if I can make the upgrade. Looking at the picture will also allow me to rearrange them exactly as they were after I pull out the car I want, because every milimeter counts when arranging the cars in these boxes. I still have to catalog like 10 more boxes.

Sorry to dissapoint. I picked VW Bus up for 50 cents at a Flea Market in Chicago this past Sunday. Also, I passed up a Speed Machines Red Supervan that a Bosnian guy was selling for $4. Although its worth that, I didnt want to give him $ for three reasonst.

1. He assumed I was a blithering idiot who knew nothing. (Which is a tactic I use often, but he assumed without provacation from me. Judge a book by its cover and no sale bud.

2. He spent several minutes staring at the person standing next to me (who wasnt there to buy) while I was waving the car trying to get his attention.

3. He tried to convince me the van was an original model. He says "this car one of first models, very expensive, very rare. You buy, you not find another.

Um... what did you expect from a flea market merchant? That's hella normal for someone who runs their own business.. especially in a flea market.

Ah, very cool stuff. I'd love to pick that Combi up for 50 cents got dammit. I had never seen the black Testa Rossa with blackwalls. The Tootsies are awesome too, that green thing looks like a Lambo Cheetah.

And I'd like to see a pic of the black Corgi M3.

If any one single person is interested in how I'm cataloging my cars:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...d29tZmE2TllnY2c&single=true&gid=0&output=html

- Cars are in order by model. (2nd column)

- My plan to find the value of the cars is to search eBay for the same exact model, separate them by "Buy it now", add up all the prices and then divide by the number of listings to come up with an "average retail". Not sure how accurate it is, but it's about the easiest way to find out the values. I only did one car for now, this is taking forever.

Hi guys - been a while since i posted. HWs have been in abundance here in South Africa for the past couple months - but because we have a messed up local suplier - each part of the coutry get stuff at different times. We had a lot of Speed Machines ( the set with 3 Ferraris, 2 Lambos and a Mclaren F1 GTR) a month or so back, and a host of 2012s ( Like the Datsun 510, Impala stock car, Ford GT LM TH and the Falcon XB super) and recoloured 2011s. At the mo we have a somewhat new batch of stock thats making its rounds ( the Dark knight 5 Pack and a new Ferrari 5 Pack with the red FXX, 2012s like the I-ROC Z and green firebird and recolured 2011s like the Mini challenge and blue estoque) Guys have already found the Corvette TH and the Mustang Super - i missed out from finding both by a couple days. what I wanted to know - if anybody could help, is what batch does the KITT come with? I know that you can trace it with the batch number thats on the back of the card. In all probabilty - thats the next batch thats gonna head our way, along with the BMW 2002. Any assistance will be appreciated - also if you guys can tell me waht other cars are in that batch. Thanks!

Um... what did you expect from a flea market merchant? That's hella normal for someone who runs their own business.. especially in a flea market.

He started talking as if I were new to his kindergarten class..."and this is your cubby hole....and here is where you'll sit...and these will be your friends."

Stopped by the Target near me again this morning. Another one of those '52 Chevy Treasure Hunts on the begs, but since I already have 2 of them I left it for the next guy. Everything else was old.

Lets have a closer look at the Mustang as the roof comes down.

First you lift the rear wing which tilts the roof forward, then rotate the whole roof section to the side to expose the open top version. Finally you push the wing back down to lock the top in place.

Bonus bonus picture of the base where you can see that the centre section of the floor has been lowered to make space for the rotating roof.

Also edited the previous post to include these pictures, and to correct some details. It was the Porsche and Mustang that I had to get from America, not the Mustang and Corvette.
