Wow Car-less, more cool pics đź‘Ť, i had a couple of the MB monster trucks, Kong and Mad-dog (but with the whippy arial).. used to love the tyres on those things, always wanted the lunchbox van but could never find it.

As for the Swap tops, i had no idea they ever existed, 1st time iv'e ever seen them, they're amazing

First time for me - pretty exciting ad. Those orange tracks turn me off - but I guess the really, really younger folk find them cool.

Told you about that store being liquidated - prices keep coming down - I had to get the crowd to move - so hurried and blurred phone pics:

I was there a couple of days ago - birthday present shopping for one of my kids - so I got prezzies for myself, too. :)

I'm really happy about the VW Samba - and the '12 Mad Propz. 40% off so picked up lots of doubles, heh heh.:)

The unfortunate part about Zellers is that all the good stuff are already gone and they aren't getting new shipment anymore for obvious reasons. So it doesn't even matter if it's going cheap if you don't find what you want.

I found the Li'l Red Express in Superstore tonight. đź‘Ť It's really nice! I wonder if HW will ever make the Dodge Warlock or Midnight Express now? That would be cool. They'd go right along together. :)

Nice grabs! I probably would have gone for that Maisto Assembly Line Ferrari Enzo. Even though I already have one. :P Sad that they're not on the shelves here anymore. :( Also, was that Speed Machines Panoz the only one left on the pegs?

I picked up the Enzo right away - carried it around for awhile (it was $3.00 and change - a bargain) but then I saw other stuff - ultimately I had about $50.00 worth of stuff in my hands (stuff clattering to the floor all the time, me looking like a greedy kid in a candy store). Process of elimination since I didn't want to spend more than $20.00 - so, broken-hearted, I put the bloody Enzo back. Still miss it! Urg.. . . It was a finely made model - and cheaper than a decent milkshake. Had to be controlled. In the end the Samba and the MB Shuttle won the battle.
There were tons of different playsets on sale - getting cheaper everyday. I hear the store is going to become a Target - not sure if that rumour is based on fact. The Panoz? In this neck of the woods they are as common as a Tim Hortons. You can't escape from them.

Me not knowing is not the point AOS - when I worked for a chain that acquired another chain, not every store was converted. We sold off properties whose bottomlines were'nt showing a profit.
However - I now know where to go for credible corporate news. ;)

I didn't know either. I try my best to keep up with that stuff, especially north of the border. :P

Two cars I picked up while shopping:

I can see why you chose the Samba, that's a pretty awesome looking model! :dopey: I suppose the Panoz really is the least liked of the Speed Machines. There's still one lying around the Toys R Us here...

What is that model, never seen it before? :odd:

Here are my purchases of today! :D
Toys R Us:
7145682503_eeb9bda420_b.jpg

Finally bought the Lil Red Express
Finally got a Ferrari California
2nd Vette Grand Sport
Datsun 510 with tasteful wheels compared to the FTE2
Pontiac Firebird

Also got myself the last 599 for the Ferrari Racer, so all that's left now is just Daytonas in that distasteful blue and yellow combo along with the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. Might give it to my older brother since he's a bit of a Ferrari 599 fan.

Indoor Flea Market:
I believe a new vendor has put in their Hot Wheels and other scale models. There were several VW Drag buses for $12 and rather recent T-Hunts for $6. There were several other models, some where $2 and the rest were just the usual $1. There should be an open Flea Market in the nearby town (about 10 minutes away from my house) so I may check out what's there. :D

6999596580_0ccb50e9f7_b.jpg

MX-5 Miata :D
Ferrari 512M
BMW 850i (I remember having one as a kid, so I had to get another one!)
Batmobile (TV Series)
Ground FX (I remember you guys talking about it and also became interested, so I had to get one)
Ferrari 355
Pikes Peak Toyota Celica
And finally, I probably overpaid for this, but I wanted one... the Treasure Hunt Datsun 240Z. (My first T-Hunt! And came with the protector)

Walmart:
Dead....still no new stuff. :( Really hope they restock the Maisto Elite Transport stuff, the pegs are finally running thin.

You did. But it was a bit offsetted because of the BMW 850i, it's a rare car, the original casting was by Corgi. It's the most relevant car in your bunch.

I knew it... :ouch: It also doesn't feel that great since I didn't really find it myself. :indiff: Would you say I should return it? Funny enough, I didn't really think of the 850i as rare, more of me just wanting a car that I had in my childhood. If only I could find the original one I had. :grumpy:

Also, the vendor that sold the T-Hunts, also sold jammers. However, they're $14... So I may as well purchase them online I suppose?

Well I don't know if you'd like to return it, I would have never paid more than $2 for one in the first place, specially one as common as the 240Z. There was a point when I had 4 of them at the same time. The Avanti or Enzo, at least in here, have been the rarest regular THs and maybe they would command such a price. Heck, I've bought $THs in the price you paid for your 240Z.

Als, about the jammers... just use regular boxes, dude. As longs as you don't move them around or treat them rudely, the cars won't take damage even if they touch one another.

That clear car, I don't know what it's called. Unlike myself, first thing my nephew does with a brand new hot wheel is to tear the thing open, throw the packaging away. :P

I think six bucks is a pretty good deal for the Treasure Hunt, considering. A lot of people paid more than that online, then paid for the shipping. Unless you know the right sellers, I don't think you'll find it for $2 around here.

Went to the local flea market today so I'll say sorry for the long post now.
The cars in the next 3 pics cost me $20.

The brown ERTL GMC, I have that (only the body now). It's the truck from the TV series "The Fall Guy" :)

Part 2/4: Loose Matchbox and Lesney

I'm saying a lot of bad words. Pink Capri duplicates? I'd be interested to see that big cement mixer. And the Tomica taxi, man tht is minty. And the Corgi M3, that's cool. I have it in Canon race car livery in orange, but it's a late model China car with the late wheels and plastic frame. Yours is a Wheezwheels or a Juniors, right?

Great bunch, dat.

Screw you. There are some very good cars in there. Of course, they are pretty tattered, but as projects they are awesome... and such a price!

I got them for that reason. I just need the time and space to do them properly. Whens the Mexican club show on Cano? Id love some of the club cars if you could get them.
