A Thunder Roller and Mercedes 300TD on card--no complaints here!

Oh please. I'm missing precisely the Thunder Roller and the Mercedes. I have both variations of the yellow 80s version but the China-made maroon version has escaped me for a while now.

I too have both the versions of the yellow cab Thunder roller. The mercedes on card had eluded me for quite some time. There is one for sale at an antique mall near me for $6, but I wasnt willing to pony up more than $3. This one cost me half that.

Ughh that’s a steal. Someday it’ll come. What I do have, though, is the Turbo Streak, packaged, but that will soon change. I had it available for sale/trade thinking I already had it, but revising my database, noup. So…

I checked for that F1 GT-R last night. No dice.

Does that mean it really is a 2012 model?

There are no 2012 Speed Machines, so I would think no.

This is the 2011 Model. The 2012 model is Blue and Orange - complementary colours, so quite a shocker. No I don't have the 2012 model yet, though managed to find this only this year.

No one really buys hot wheels here... I've only bumped into other collectors from time to time, but most of them don't dig to the very end of the peg like I do. I've only seen one or two do it, but even they give up after a while.

The Hot Wheels wiki stated that there was the blue and orange one for 2012. Of course, it's a wiki...

Edit: Yeah, the wiki's wrong. Really wish there was a way to get them without having to pay so much for them on eBay.

And for that CRX... Been looking through the HW wiki some more and the Hot Ones for 2012 will have other new toolings like the Subaru B.R.A.T. '84 Mustang SVO, and '87 Toyota (Doesn't say what model though). Where do you find the sneek peaks for the Hot Ones on HWC? Is it in the forums?

CRX is in Mix 5.

Edit: Not liking the chrome bottom half on the CRX, but I shall buy 2 of them so I can customize the other one. Will do wheel swap and paint the chrome part white.

Oh! Thanks for the info! The chrome does seem a bit unnecessary, but I don't really mind it. Depends on how it'll look in person.

I've also noticed that the Hot Wheels Racing series really hasn't appeared in stores here.

I'd say you're early to the party. They aren't out yet, just wait for someone to post pics to confirm their release when the time comes. Unfortunately the F1 was a false alarm...

I knew I should have bought the Chrysler Turbine Concept... When I first saw it I was really interested in getting it, but I didn't have that much money on me and was already set on buying another car. Also missed out on the Amphicar, which was plentiful when the Boulevard cars were just restocked. But now they're all gone...

Isn't Turbine a fairly new release? I'm sure you two will get another crack at it. It was the first time I saw it. Although I've cut down my collecting to nearly a "zero", I liked the looks of it, and just had to have it. It was funny, this awesome cashier girl at the grocery store, that's exactly what she said. She looks at me in the eyes and grumbled "You just had to, huh?"

Might have been one of the last releases. There are new ones hitting the stores right now, the Custom V-8 Vega and a Camaro are a couple of them.

Another new tooling that's listed on the wiki for the boulevard series is the Vector W8 TwinTurbo. Can't wait to see that once they make it. Also some other interesting models that will be boulevards:

Camaro sounds interesting. Do you guys know approximately what year Camaro?

Vector, I've never really been a fan of, but with that super exotic looks, if Hot Wheels pull it off, I'm getting it.

Who am I kidding, I'm getting that one regardless.

P.S. While I'm trying not to buy Hot Wheels, they had couple of these as well today:

Stupid Mattel. If they had this thing in black(esp. w/flames), they'd forced my hand on this one, too!
