I do believe the Ford Falcon in Mad Max was the Falcon XB. Would be cool if they made that version of it. :D

It would be cool because the Mad Max interceptor is one of the most iconic movie cars of all time.

It wouldn't be cool, because 🤬 scalpers down here would be asking small fortunes for them on E-bay. (Just like SH XB Falcon's at the moment)

I went to the 99 cent thrift store in East LA today and saw a weird sight. 2003 first models still in packaging! there was a first run Enzo, Quattroporte, and even the tooned Z28 'Maro. I was debating picking some of them up

Weirdest thing. 2003, very randomly I picked up Enzo, Veyron, Stratos, and I think one more car. So while this was years before I actually started collecting, I have just handful of 2003 cars. Very puzzling, as I don't even remember buying them, but I am glad!

I have no use for scalpters either. I've seen them trying to defend their pathetic cause on online forums, but bottom line, at least in my opinion, they are making the supply & demand escalate to insane levels.

It's one thing to be a collector, buy something really cool. Years later, you decide to sell this item you enjoyed owning for sometime, cash in on the rarity of this item. Very cool.

On the other hand, as soon as the limited run item goes on sale, while the fan or collectors of these items are hard at work, school, whatever, literally go on the attack to secure as many of these limited items as possible, hogging & hoarding them, making it nearly impossible for people with job, family, life, etc., or all of the above, to go out and buy these items they covet at the suggested retail price.

Bottom feeders. I used to love going to shows, and I have no patience for these :censored:ing scalpers.

Booooo!

;)

There's a scalper selling a Black/Red Ford Torino on eBay right now and telling people that it's "more rare than a super TH". When it's actually a new regular release that just hasn't hit all the stores yet.

Been to the toy show over the weekend. Grabbed several vintage Tomica race cars, a nice J2000, a Bandai Gobots Crasher, a nice thunderburner Black Knight, a Corgi Juniors Growler, a Kidco Burnin Key Fire Chief and a couple Zylmex/Yatming/Other make cars. Pictures to come...some time.

Pics!!! Specially of the vintage Tomicas :0

I've seen most of those around. If you guys are serious about paying for them + shipping, I can go on a shopping spree and send out some packages.

Sorry, can't do it for free. :sly:

Bro I was ready to pay the moment you offered such service. Get shopping, you. ;)

I have the BMW 2002, ZL1, black RX7, and purple Coronet Super Bee in abundance here as well as a silver 302 Boss Laguna Seca if you're interested. They're going for $1.33 now however.

Well, I'll see what I can do. I gotta look into a PayPal account or something.

I agree, I can't stand scalpers myself. They give us collectors a bad name and cause chaos and grief with everyone else. Yeah, I buy 2-4 cars(maybe 5, if I like the car and I have more ideas for modifying or for trading) but not 10 or more.

I laugh at their "defence" of their belifs, it's pathetic and isn't a collector's view of the game. These people aren't even fans of what they do and/or don't care. They are just there only for the profits. A true collector waits for years to sell a item or keep it for themselves, but when they do sell, it's at a reasonable price on the rarity, condition or exclusitivity of the item. That I van understand. Not taking all of a selected item and sell it with a stupid price and the item isn't even out for a week.

Scalpers are just like the other morons: fanboys, ricers, donk boyz and the other 🤬 that give us who have fun, or open to the other types of things in our cultures of whatever we do a bad name from other brainless 🤬 who look at these 🤬. And when we spot them and try to say something about their dumb belifs or attemps are futile, they call us "haters". How retarded(once again, no offence) can you get?

People like these make me lose hope for the human race sometimes.

And that's putting it nicely.

Seriously though, I agree with everything you and Vspec said. đź‘Ť

I went to the shops today after work and found an unopened C case!

Yes that is a SUPER FORD FALCON XB!

And I also saw these for the first time on the shelves and I love the design of this truck.

That's awesome!

And yeah, about scalpers. Luckily I've never directly had to deal with one, but from what I've read in this thread I already hate them. Occasionally I will go on massive Hot Wheels binges (probably like once or twice a year, no more) where if the selection is awesome (and when I do these I usually end up getting lucky and hitting the stores right after a restock) I walk away with 40+ cars. But that's because I WANT all of them, and I'm not in it for the profit at all. Soon as I get home I unpack all of them and then USE them. So I think buying the 40+ cars is justified in my case (plus there are usually other copies of most of it in the store so I don't feel guilty). I have my own opinions about unpacking vs. leaving them in the cards, but I respect those who do keep them carded but aren't scalpers, and are holding on to them to sell much, much later.

You should definitely get the Quattroporte. Sad how the casting didn't last long. :(

I remember picking up one of em a LONG while back (probably in early 03, or 02). PIcked it up at a swap meet, it was at a premium, but meh. It is one of my favorite castings.

Just picked up a Hot Wheels Ferrari F512M from ShopRite. I don't have a camera, so I guess I'll just run down my collection :D

Bought my first maisto elite transport! :D

I looked on the back of the package and unfortunately, the only ones offered of my interest would be the Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche 911 GT2. No signs of the GT-R that the 2012 maisto catalog had. As I've heard, there's a possibility maisto may sell some items everywhere BUT the U.S. I'll be waiting for that GT-R to appear. My mission for 2012! :irked:

EDIT: I'd recommend these to the collectors in here that like to display their models. These are great pieces to have in your collection. You don't have to keep the two together, just swap the car and maybe even customize the truck to match the car you want to display it with. :D

I'm sure you guys know just how obsessed I am with the GT-R, all thanks got Gran Turismo. :P But honestly, I really want a GT-R model (pretty much all GT-Rs) since all I have is just the GT5 collector's edition GT-R. Also just more JDM models overall. The house is kinda filled with Vipers at the moment. :ouch:

Ahh, another fellow Skyline GTR enthusiast. :D

My main mission us to find more of the R35 and more of the R34 Skyline GTR for my growing collection. But there's only one Skyline that's eluding me since the days of the first GTs.......

A BCNR33 Skyline GTR V-Spec

I have to find one ASAP to finish the GTR collection, then I'll see to looking out for the even harder Skylines like the DR30 and HNR31 to fill the gaps.

But I'm also a Viper person myself. Ever since I brought my Viper GTS white and blue stripe and blue and white RT/10 when I was a kid, huge fan if the serpent. That's why more ACRs and the newer Viper. :D

I been into BOTH the GTS and the RT/10 Vipers, felt really good being inside of the pit viper, a monsterous machine that puts fear into a Corvette. Just like the Supra TT with the Skyline GTR. :mischievous:đź‘Ť

Not a fancy post, but here goes anyway!

Firstly, I posted this Flame Stopper awhile ago, and noticed something.
Instead of nabbing a duplicate of this 80s classic, it turns out I've and added the '88 edition with different wheels.

I've shot a few of the rather special versions in next.

And lastly...

I'm not sure what set this came from but it was $1 and makes a kickin display for one lucky Matchbox!

I used to have that Tomica Ford/Lincoln Mark as a toddler. In yellow. Earliest minicar(as they were referred to in Japan) I can remember from my childhood. Either that one, or that Lamborghini Miura from I think from Playart. Still have the Miura.

I've got the Beetle that's behind the awesome Pull Pontiac, execpt the decals are all faded/rubbed off, on mine.

Real nice stuff there mate.đź‘Ť

diabolicwyvern, vintage Tomica's especially the Stratos & Pantera look awesome!

What's that Camaro shooting brake thingy?, McLaren looks cool too.

The tomica were $2 a pop. Yea..I'll buy just about any scale car that's mint and 30+ years old for basically pennies! I'm not sure what camaro shooting brake means.

Alright, so I have AOS as the only one 100% committed to paying for cars this weekend right? Just want to make sure I'm only shopping for those who are definitely in.

I'm trying to get things worked out on the paypal thing. Unfortunately, both my brother and I have been cut off from buying anything online... Pretty much banging my head against the keyboard. :ouch: The R34's driving me insane. I could just mail you some dollar bills... :P

I have noticed that there are signs of the DW-1 (aka Dan Wheldon Tribute indy car) has been appearing in stores. I'm sure someone here should have their stores with it soon. I have doubts about mine.

I'm hoping I can actually find one of those. All the collectors are treating them like a Super TH (which they are NOT) and hording them all.
