No kidding. Check out this purchase from someone on the HWC forums:
*snip*
Share the wealth dude, sheesh.

Edit: :eek::eek:

I can't understand that well on people hoarding them. The scalpers yes (which this one probably is doing), but those keeping all of what they find I can't. Personally, I'd probably take three at most. One to open, one to customize, and one to keep in the package.

At that much, I'd just got out and buy a 1:1 scale car. :P

I bought a total of 4 Aventadors every time I saw them when they were just releasing. And I thought I was bad. :P

I did feel a bit bad when I bought three of the Kenmeris.

It's out! I can't believe it! The Maisto Elite Transport with the Nissan GT-R is out! Unfortunately, it's at a bid of about $10 at the moment... :( Really want...badly! Also thought it'd be blue...odd. If only I had a paypal account. But hey, patience may just be the way.

I didn't even know they had a Scion xB model? :odd:

Edit: I'm guessing this is not offered in the U.S, but maisto has a GT-R in a single pack as well. Great detail for a 1:64. But 🤬 it's over priced on eBay...

Ugh, now knowing this. Don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight. :ouch:

Being sold from California, might be available here. New release? I'll keep an eye out for one even though I don't buy Maisto stuff.

I just wish Maisto would just brand them under one series or whatever you'd call them. Adventure Wheels, Fresh Metal, and All Stars. Ugh, confusing. :boggled: All I know is that they sell them at our Walmart as Adventure Wheels and in the Dollar Tree, they're sold as Fresh Metal. With the listings on the back of the one Elite Transport I bought, I don't think I'll be seeing them here...at all maybe. :( The catalog only shows "All Stars," as the one with the GT-R. If only Maisto decided to sell better products here...

The gem of the post: Fresh Pull Pontiac J2000

Got damn that thing is truly droolable. I don't even have that casting, not even the mexican version. The 25 cent cars are awesome for that price! And the Tomicas!!! I've been chasing the Stratos Turbo for years.

And you freaking lucky dude, you found the Pantera with the wide, black wheels. It's an extremely hard to find car, the most common one is the one with wheels similar to the ones in the Lincoln... which I'm still missing btw.

Great grabs, dude, I also like the Kenners. And lol at the Dan Wheldon stash. You people really thought collectors and scalpers alike would respect such a car? It's like Hot Wheels maade it exclusively to foment the black market.

I think we all sort of expected it, Cano. I know I definitely did. It should be easier than Treasure Hunt though, however. If Mattel was being honest about the car being a standard release, availability should eventually catch up. Maybe not like a regular car, but at least like A-Team van, which were hard to find, but they were around if you looked hard enough.

I have to visit Walmart this week, so I might do a late night Friday night, test my luck!
(if you out bid me I will track you down...) :P
But that would be the one I'd want, too. :P

Slow down, Medigo. Slow down.

They are at least 1 car per case. I've even seen some people say they found 2 in a case. I will also be doing some hunting Friday night, so hopefully I find one. All I want is one. :(

I want two for myself, but if it's for other people, I'll get as many as I need to allocate. :P

I can't! Grrr, driving me insane just thinking that I might never see one in my local stores.

Talked with my friend about trading my Jada Limited Edition Collector Club Shelby Cobra 427 for other diecasts of similar value or multiple of similar value. He told me he had several 1:64s that he doesn't really want. He told me he had Mercs, BMWs, and a Miata (Johnny Lightning) to trade. Along with other things he doesn't really know, but is offering to bring a case in to let me pick out of. :)

Yeah, I asked him about it and he confirmed that it was the blue with white stripes version. Still alright for me. :) I might offer him the Elite Transport with the Camaro since I'm not a big muscle car guy, so maybe get more out of him..

I still know very little about Tomica but I've surmised that if the base is metal and says Made in Japan, it should be a safe bet at $2.

And I wish I had a mexican J2000. Unless there's more than 1, I recall it being green with wicked graphics on each side. Like dragons or something.

The tomica were $2 a pop. Yea..I'll buy just about any scale car that's mint and 30+ years old for basically pennies! I'm not sure what camaro shooting brake means.

I was referring to the yellow car with the Z28 stickers on it, that general body shape is known as a shooting brake, it looks like quite an unusual car/casting.. never seen it before.

i'll be on a look out for those lionhart if they ever come out here.

My latest haul! Finally some 2012 stock in Australia!

They have here. :D

My haul from a Wal-Mart this morning on my way to work. Also stopped at Target which had nothing as usual.

Argh, after seeing those purchases, not sure about what to decide. Either heading to the flea market or going to Walmart after work. With my time limit, I can only make it to one of those places and get back home without making it suspicious to my parents. Really want the Z4, Gallardo, 2002, Mad Manga, and Mustang Mach 1.

I bought 2 of the Mad Manga, BMW Z4 and the Hurst Olds. Will post open photos tomorrow when I have daylight and time to do it.

Thats the Kenner Fast 111s. Kenner being the brand and "FAST 111s" being the segment. The model is called "Outlawer"

Just bought another Miata off eBay. :D

Bidding for the red one ends tomorrow....

Anyone know a cheap place to get the protecto packs? I only want ~25 of them but not willing to pay $30+ for them.

What are the protective packs called specifically? Just hot wheels single protective packs or something? I'll look into it, but I'm sure other collectors here already know some good spots.

I just asked a friend to possibly bid on the Maisto Elite Transport GT-R for me... (Then I'll repay him in cash) It's normally $7.88 (not including tax) in stores, but with doubts that it'll appear I think I might just buy it on eBay... Would you guys say it's a good idea to put a bid in for $10.50? :indiff: Or should I patiently wait for it to appear in stores? The unknown is driving me a bit crazy at the moment, not knowing if they'll actually sell it in my area as an Adventure Wheels Elite Transport... It ends tomorrow...

They're called "Protecto-Pak" usually. They're much cheaper when you buy large quantities of them, but I don't have the money to purchase a large quantity.

x25 of them is usually around $30

x300 of them is usually around $150.

The usual buy more, pay less. Maybe a few of us can pool together and buy a lot of them and split it?

I would have to get the white BMW 2002, Mad Manga, white Olds 442...... and is that one below Manga a Hot Wheel themed Kenmeri? If so, I need that, too. Z4 is something I'd have picked up before without question, but today, something like that would be a game time decision. Nice haul! đź‘Ť
