Guess I'll take a step back and go back to my first rule and that was to collect only REAL cars. I got too carried away looking for anything 2012 that I probably picked up at least 30 artificial rides by now.
I still say I don't buy the fantasy cars(that's what I call them :P), but I know I got handful that I just thought looked cool.

For some of us who are part time, half-assing collectors, what hurts us in trying to keep the collection under control is that we all have too broad of range taste in cars. Add that to the different colors/wheels, variants, premium series, Tomica, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, etc., it can get bit out of control. And like Cano noted, you start filling up your totes, and personally, I'm like "WTH am I gonna do with all this stuff!".

Edit: I finally got my Treasure Hunt & Super Treasure Hunt of the Olds 442 today.

I mentioned it before, but I completely spaced that there was a S-TH version of this car and bought the standard TH on eBay. As soon as I realized that there was Super version, I had to go get it. :ouch: Real thing didn't disappoint though. This is the car(standard version) that got me hooked into Hot Wheels initially, and I do love it. :embarrassed:

I smell a vintage vs. modern battle coming up....... :scared:

Supermarket collectors..... Prepare the battle stations!
It's friendly in here. We all just need to appreciate Cano's playful personality, it is all good. :D

I'm picking the last haul of stuff for the convention tomorrow. It accounts to nearly 600 cars. I hope to at least recoup what I put in all of it at the convention, then I'll have more than enough cars to sell in forums and over the internet to pick up more stuff for myself. I needs me some Vintage Racing cars and also some redlines that have been itching in my back for a couple years now.

That's exactly what's happened to me. It started with standard Hot Wheels last year, then I moved on to Vintage Racing and Hot Ones series, a few Matchbox's here and there and now Tomica*. It's a disease, I tell you.

*Which is completely R16 and a6's fault btw, they just had to go and post pictures of their Tomica Toyota 86's.

^^^^It's all this guy, goat. It's all him! or was it Medigo? I forget....

Jason: That might become real expensive, no?

Well whoever it was, curse them. :shakes fist in anger: :sly:
They're about $20-40 each, depending on the model. Unless someone knows where to get them cheaper?

That's really reasonable actually. Autoart make some killer 1.18's as well, just saying. ;)

I may start on some AutoArt 1/43 scale cars now. :scared:

uuh, really? Get your wallet ready. Even so, if you scrounge E-Bay and play the patience game you can land some amazing deals. Some years ago I grabbed the 5 versions of Hakosukas made by Kyosho in 1/43 for about 35 bucks, shipped. I couldn't believe my luck.

I'm guessing that would be me starting it all with those ebay finds. Woops! :guilty: Yeah...I spend my time looking up stuff out of boredom. But what pains me most is that I'm unable to purchase them.

Speaking of the 1/43 Hakosuka Skyline...would this be a reasonable price?

That looks just like the silver one I threw in with the Initial D Hachiroku on eBay. *actually, it was white. :P

P.S. You know we were just kidding around. Except Spacegoat. Goats don't kid. :nervous:

Edit: Got just this one tonight.

I saw bunch of the Maverick & Firebird I wanted, but at Target. No red lines.

it's reasonable indeed; however, look for the racing versions, they are awesome.

They do look awesome. Would love to buy one...

I wasn't taking it seriously. I suppose the little face made it seem more serious...? I guess it all started from my GT-86 Tomica find? Or was it the Tomica lots? :P

Can you guys... like... buy me any extra THs you find? I NEVER find any!

I'm sure you'll be able to find one soon. Unless...you want one that I found. Though it is my first ever t-hunt. I don't really care much for it and I was thinking of trading it off for something.

Meh, I think I might just hunt for a scale model of sorts of my Toyota Crown. Might be a hard one... :ouch:

Oh, yeah. I run into a lot of those...... $miglo is the TH magnet.

I don't remember. I think it was the 86.....

I like red lines a lot, except on this van for some reason. It's weird, I don't know why. Perhaps I don't like the looks of this particular wheels with the red lines.

I'm still gonna have to hit Walmart again this weekend in the quest of the Maverick & Firedbird red lines!

Wal-Mart is supposedly getting new bins of death full of P case cars, which includes the Angry Bird cars, etc. The Ford Focus is the $uper in that lot. I'm hoping my local stores don't get them or put them out until this weekend sometime. :nervous:

Some places are putting them out now. I haven't checked any stores local to me as I don't have the extra cash. Not all stores will get them either. Remember these are the big cardboard bins they put out in the center isles.

My Walmart's way behind on stuff. Though they just moved around a bunch of the isles. Closer to the door I normally enter so a quicker enter and exit route. :D I have doubts... And still no sign of the Bentley or 2012 Beetle? Either that or I'm missing something. :dunce:

Though it is my first ever t-hu-

No, you keep that one, you silly man. I will not take away someone's first TH. I still have my Tucker Torpedo in its blister, and while I don't really like it all that much, I wouldn't give it to anyone.

The Beetle will be in this new mix I was just talking about. The Bentley has been out for a while. Been finding most of them at Target and grocery stores.

I suppose so... T-hunts aren't really that much of my concern though. Especially when it's a fantasy car (the Surf Crate). :P

Weird, I've been looking through Target (so far our only store with new-ish stock) Nothing but the Bat, red STI, 2013 Viper, etc. But no Bentley.... :(

Oh crap. I was going to wait until this weekend, but we'll see how it goes.

*edit - these are the four-sided one's you are referring to, right? Not the dump bin?

No, Wal-Mart only gets dump bins. Dump bin = bin of death.
