#9000.

Damn. I was tree'd.

Picked up that 914 today myself - it's a beauty. Also the Dark Knight 5 Pack.
Pics later, when I get home.

I just got done inspecting all the models in my Dark Knight 5 Pack that I also bought today. :dopey:

Not really. I had just walked in; you were 8 mins behind. (And so was everybody who visits the thread regularly ;) Were you expecting me? )

On Topic - Picked up the Legendary Grave Digger, too - very nice finish on it as well as the Boulevard VW - strange wheels!
Also about a dozen assorted HWs - working late today so stuck here prepping an apartment for a new tenant - floor finishers are on the way - and the painting is not all complete. :(

A Hotwheels Flint Mobile.

That is just awesome. I am jealous! 👍
Target meanwhile has two Vector W8 Twin Turbos, so...if anyone wants them, I can stop by tomorrow and get them.
I'm still looking for it, but since it's not black, I'm sort of if I find it, great. If not, I'll live. :P How did you like SkylineFaux's Speed Machines? That's what I thought. Me, too.
Snipe.

When I saw the firebird's post, I was thinking 'pathetic :sly: '. What does that make yours!?

P.S. Otaku-san, older JDM stuff you picked up's pretty sweet, but that Celica XX/Supra is money in the bank!

Frickin' sweet dude. Of course, it will be even harder to find than that Mystery Machine deal. :D

@a6

Yea i was super excitrd when i found it in a loose dump bucket. XD i was probably acting like a little school girl, you can ask my wife. It was only 50 cents too. I asked the vendor three times if that was the right price lol

I might just grab another one since I gave the other one to my brother. So, just in case you give up... :P And yes...I am JELLY over SkylineFaux's Speed Machines GT-R. The goal is still to collect all the Skyline/GT-Rs. (Why can't they release an R33! I'd love to get the Tomica one, but can't buy online...) Of which, I'd love to trade with R1600 with my red New Models 2009 Nissan GT-R with chrome 10SPs, but it's my only one. :indiff:

Also OtakuTaikun, where did you find that McLaren F1!? Grr, want one so bad, but I don't even know if there's a new release for them yet. :grumpy:

You . . dare to mock me? You infidel! A fatwah on your head! I shall crush you! Crush you with . . with this monstrously beautiful thing:

 It's an old habit from way back in my eBay days, a6m5, we would snipe for the slightest reason even #1234 was good to be sniped, let alone #333 or #444 or millenium posts. I did mention #9000 coming up, in a post awhile ago, because we had hardly hit #5000 recently - the thread moves so fast with so many new members in here this year - no doubt #10,000 will be upon us long before Christmas. (And #10,000 is mine, mine! :dopey: )

Oh! Yeah - you were wanting a picture of some Celica, I believe . . . this one?:sly: :

Or this one?

Harry, you sick bastard.👍

 You kill me. Ah! What better way to die than laughing.

Okay - don't lose your shirt - here ; (taken specially for you):

Got more pics coming up. Ben and Cano have peed me off so bad recently that I had to go shopping again.

My Photobucket files are behaving with a will of their own - excuse while I try to straighten them out.

Here's the Volks, with the 914 - great wheels, detailed casting, tampos are shabby

Another 914:

Talking about Speed Machines' GT-R - maybe those red inserts belong to this one?

You'll then enjoy to know that it's also a Color Changer. If I ever get my paws on one I'll take pics.

Man you'll be absolutely soaked in the next several days then. I just spent my entire weekend taking pictures of my cars. I'm SO gonna make a post tomorrow just for you.

🤬

BTW - Welcome to the discussion, SkylineFaux - and that does seem to be a bona-fide error. I took a look at my various GT-R's - the graphic on the cards don't really match the cars - the red one is supposed to have clear plastic lights, but instead has black - however, I've never seen the black GT-R with red inserts.
Here's another look:

That Celica really hits the spot.  I can't believe I haven't found one yet. I'm buying three!(that's a lot for me). Thanks for the BIG pic, Harry. :)

A question to the veterans & heavy hitter in this thread. How much would you consider is a decent price for Classics Series Hot Wheels?(to buy) Nothing fancy, just average models. And how come none of the stores around here carry them? Are they discontinued?

Edit: Sorry, that's more than one question.

I'm still trying to remember that I've forgotten to answer the first question - about Grave Digger's new paint scheme - I'll pull some stuff from the site:

While the legend of Grave Digger® started in 1982, Dennis Anderson created the first monster truck version of Grave Digger in 1986 by adding 66” monster truck tires. The second generation Grave Digger monster truck was a 1951 Ford panel truck. Anderson made it his own with a distinctive blue and silver paint job and included the logo for Currituck Grain Co., which is the company he was working for at the time. This newly evolved Grave Digger monster truck was nicknamed “The Legend” from inception and since then, the Grave Digger legacy has lived up to expectations. March 2010 marked the resurrection of this iconic monster truck when Anderson’s eldest son, Adam, debuted Grave Digger The LegendSM to the delight of the sold-out crowd during an encore performance at the Monster Jam World FinalsSM. Grave Digger The Legend is a replica of the 1986 version of the Grave Diggermonster truck and is now a Monster Jam fixture. Let it be known, with 2008 Monster Jam World Finals freestyle champion Adam Anderson picking up where his famous father started, Grave Digger The Legend has been reincarnated and is destined for Monster Jam greatness.

I had more pics of the Celica, a6m5, various angles, the whole card, etc, but PB is playing up on my loading, I'll fix it presently. As for the actual HW, I've seen only one or else I would have grabbed more, many more - this is the car to mod. After buying the car, and having a long look at it, I had the urge to drive one - so off to GT4 I went, and into my old savegame for several quick races in it - which it won - even against the G35. I remember a buddy of mine having that same model in a deep metallic blue, it was a great car to cruise the streets in - so many great memories connected with that car.

They have been discontinued for about 3 or 4 years now. There are more expensive cars than others, and of course the expensive ones are the chase cars with Real Riders, and for some reason, the Modern Classics series. I've bought Classics for a buck. For the most expensive normal models, expect to shell out about 5 or 6, and upwards to 20-30 for a chase car, and way more if it's a rare car on a rare color. Hit E-Bay and see for yourself.

I'm dying for that 914. Now if only they'd make an early (long-hood) 911 of similar quality. Knowing Mattel they'd ruin it with a horrible color and hideous tampos, although they seem to have done better than usual with the Boulevards.

Here are my newest finds:

Surprisingly well-made Porsche GT2 - with plastic headlights and spoiler! :D

Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera - Without a stupid paintjob! :D

The best one I think - a Pontiac Firebird 400 '67 with see-through rims!

Ugh, want the Civic and Exige.... Stopped by Walmart and Target in a hurry, nothing much new. However, at Walmart, they've got new Decades cars. 2010 Camaro SS and Pontiac Fiero. Didn't bother with them. Target meanwhile has two Vector W8 Twin Turbos, so...if anyone wants them, I can stop by tomorrow and get them.

Id like a Vector. What would you like for it. Ive been seeing some Bently's around here if you are still after them.

That car is not cheap. I like the deal you got a lot better!

What I picked up tonight:

24958397.jpg

More old cars, Cano! That Focus reads '2000' in the back. Golf GTI, Javelin, I had very little interest in, but they are actually pretty nice models. Very excited about the black 510 as I'm pretty sure I didn't have this color. I don't know where this particular Walmart store found all these old cars, but they sure made the stop worth it! Curiosity Rover was stashed hidden where I happened to see when I bent over to pick up a hot wheel I dropped on the floor(don't you guys hate that?). I felt bit guilty, but not that much. I didn't have one yet.

"The Legend" eh? It's like a cool alternate themed Grave Digger. Very nice. 👍 I have soft spot for the Celica, because my uncle used to drive one with the same color when I was like 3? I still remember riding in it one time. He later got the car sandwiched between two city buses in a little prefecture called Fukushima(he was OK). I totally agree on its customizability. Such a unique throwback!

I'm looking at a few of them right now. Thank you so much for the tip Cano! 👍

Cheers 👍.
I know even at £8 it's still expensive, but when i saw it i just had to have it. (also, the car's quite rare). The car brings back fond memories of my childhood, and it was a perfect match for the MB RX7 (blue IMSA style) i used to have.

Another thing i came across, while searching the other items the seller (who i bought the Porsche off) had to sell. was one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CGGC-Gris...3&prg=1020&rk=2&sd=230837553182&#ht_500wt_760
I know it's not diecast (or 1/64), but i remember buying that exact same car kit in the mid 80's for about 50 pence brand new! (i had 5 different models). Although they were plastic, they were really cool.. used to be able to take the bumpers/bonnets off them (obviously because it's a snap-fit plastic model kit), the bit i liked the most though (apart from the detail), was swapping around the the pop-out hubcaps with the other different models.
I'd love to own one again... but there's no-way on earth i'd pay that much for the Alfa. (might consider getting the 911 though.. it's a lot cheaper).

No, in order of the posts I was faster

After a long wait, i'm finally getting my hands on one of these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-P...ast_Vehicles&hash=item35befd881e#ht_672wt_743

Though the one i'm getting is mint (still carded) and a steal (well, compared ^ to that one), at £8+ free shipping. :D

Awesome!! Getting back a car you had as a child is cool as heck. Pics when it arrives, I love Polistil.

What I picked up tonight:

SJKFGTRHJEBGVJKSDQEFLGHLGJKDBG THE VECTORRRRRRRRRRRR

I NEED THAT CAR.

Wow, that is exceptionally rare. Way to make a splash in this forum and GTPlanet! :D
Welcome, and we all hope to see you around here more often. 👍
Thanks for the warm welcome. Might as well bust out the camera sometime to post my collection. :)

The goal is still to collect all the Skyline/GT-Rs. (Why can't they release an R33! I'd love to get the Tomica one, but can't buy online...)
Heh, we have the same goal. Still missing a lot of the R32s (hate how most of the ones I'm looking for were available only in playsets and 5-packs), but I've got the rarer ones down so that's something. :D

Thanks for the welcome. :) I have the red Speed Machines GT-R as well and it has black headlights/windows. Checked my Nightburnerz and First Edition one and they all have clear headlights/windows.

Walked into Walmart this morning and found a Surf Crate Treasure Hunt. Already have one and it's not a casting I like so I left it for the next guy.
