Thanks mate.đź‘Ť I couldn't believe my eyes, when I saw it on the pegs.

And I should correct myself, the Mustang is my first official TH. I do have the Studebaker Avanti from last year, but alas, I must admit that, I got that one from eBay. :guilty:

I once went through an untouched dump bin, and still couldn't find any treasure hunt. I'm convinced that I missed out on a hidden Super TH. :(

P.S. I have the Avanti from eBay, too.

I'm convinced there were more TH's there today. This one was on the very front of one of the pegs, I regret not going though the other pegs, but I was too lazy excited.

Oh dear God. I don't know if you keep your cars always in there, but I'll offer this advice. PUT THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. The sun is a car's worse enemy. Your windows will go yellow, your paint will fade, go yellow too, and crack, the chrome will go yellow, and the white things will go yellow. I can't stress this enough, if you really always have them there, they will deteriorate a lot with time, and you won't notice right away until it's too late.

No - we can't stress this enough. Sunlight is hell on everything left out in it. Including people. My usual storage systems are quite different - shall post some pics soon. This particular window (as I mentioned before with this same picture around 18 months ago) is a sort of staging area that I use on weekends for photoshoots and for fiddling with cars that I'm considering customising.

Oh. Terribly sorry about that. Have another Skyline as an apology. :P

Apology accepted. Now pass it over.

One of my favorite cars in real life. Just might be my favorite American car of all-time. When I saw it with my favorite paint-job, I had to have it.

Do you have to keep buying all my cars. :grumpy:

but... those aren't old...

Maybe he's young.. . .

Just because they aren't as old as you doesn't mean they're not old themselves.

10+ year-old products are old to me. Deal with it.

As I was saying.. . .

Well, I popped in to have a look and comment on the latest collector brouhahas - but got to run now; the older couple whose bedrooms I was painting, now want me to do the whole bloody place.

Back later. May you find your dream cars. đź‘Ť

Hey, I'm not old

Ok I am. But still, pretty new. Specially for the money quantities you have mentioned. Just how many of those things you bought?

When you go through an un-touched dump bin, best to grab a shopping kart and go through it a handful of cars at a time. If you just skim through it, you'll likely miss something good.

Lazy. :P Probably grabbed the Treasure Hunt on the front, and missed the $uper in the back. ;)

Enough to make your wife jealous.

Bins are the worse to go through. I've only picked up a red Ferrari FF and California by digging deep. I've found other neat-o cars but it didn't require another container to fill up such as a cart or the bin beside it.

It also feels extremely weird to do it in the first place.

Hey, like I said, only way to get the good stuff. Sometimes you have to take a chance, and who cares what other people think.

lol, maybe other girls; my wife is well used to the massive shipments of cars that come my way. She even helps me go trough them. Next step is getting her to know what cars I already have so she can separate the repeats (:

Time for my monthly update.
At least that's what these feel like now since buying has slowed down for me.

Sorry about the dust speck in the top left. That's actually in the lens and I must've forgotten to edit it out of this one.

Finally found not one, but two BMW 2002's for the other one check the customising thread. :D

OK, do you guys remember me and goat slo-chatting about treasure hunt, how I wish I ran into them soon...... I also said in regards to Jason's comment about how he left the duplicate treasure hunt on the peg, and how I'm also awesome like that?

Today, I was out of town, so I visited this K-Mart WAY out of my area. Coincidentally, very same, very first department store I ever visited in the United States(1987!). Any who, don't get mad at me, but I'm only a human. I see a green label, so I'm like, "score!". I keep looking. I see another of the same treasure hunt, I'm like "what are the odds....", but I don't even touch it.

Then this happened.

God really hates me, because I didn't even really want the first one. Then here's the second. There the third. By the third one, I'm like, I have to take all of them, if only for funny picture(only to the hot wheels collector).

It kind of made my day, but feels like I also got kicked in the jimmi jammer at the same time. I was glad something amusing happened, but totally let down by the cars I felt was forced to take. I also got these in other stores:

Been wanting another Back to the Future and Curiosity Rover for stock. Extra Chevelle treasure hunts are available for trade, or sale at cost, but in my honest personal opinion, these cars suck. I don't think it's worth the shipping. :dopey:

P.S. When I first started collecting, I was bit concerned about other people looking at me going thru the pegs or bins, but I don't care anymore. I've never had anybody looking at me funny, though I've had people talk to me. Girls working at the stores are the best. They get a kick out of me getting kick out of hot wheels. They absolutely laugh when I show up at Walmart register with a ammunition for my guns + couple of hot wheels! I've been warned couple of times that collecting hot wheels get out of hand, which I wholeheartedly agree. :nervous:

You have awesome taste in cars.

Those Chevelle TH's were in some of the K-Days cases. Did you keep an eye out for the '13 Bread Box TH? (postal truck)

Only people that ever talk to me are other collectors or employees that are nosy about what I'm looking for. NEVER tell an employee about Treasure Hunts. Cause then you'll have a problem finding them at that store again...

I thought about the Collector Day thing, because I also saw these cars at the event. Four of same frigging TH, all at same store is pretty weird. I looked at all the cars, no Bread Box.

Yeah, I never mention potential value of any hot wheels. :P

Most employees that are clueless and only look for the Green Stripe are going to have a rude awakening this year. :P

Speaking of the Bread Box, I got mine that I traded for in the mail last night. :D

I got accepted for a job at Target and I'm happy about that for obvious reasons.
The only thing that sucks is that they want me to work 50-60 hours a week!
Never mind the fact that I'm currently going to school.
I'm not sure even working at Target for half that much time would have its perks in terms of Hot Wheels and how possible it'd be for me to keep the good ones.
If I take the job (albeit for less time of course), you can consider me your inside man. :sly:
