How do you guys find any Garage cars in stores? I've never seen them. EVAR.

My stores used to carry Garage cars like you, but then the delivery took an arrow to the wheels.


Yeah, we stopped getting Garage Cars in Toronto early 2012 or something... maybe even at the end of 2011. There used to be an abundance of a single case variety in the specialty store, but all I ever picked up was the Mercury Cougar.

Garage series doesn't exist anymore. Boulevard replaced it, and something else will replace that at the end of this year.

First it was Garage, which then becomes Boulevard. I'm guessing the next would be... Gas Station? 💡

Just couple of stores with really old stock. This place is so ancient, they even have left over Delivery Series trucks. If they were on sale too, I'd have bought a couple more.

Still nothing around me. Target still sucks. Kdays next weekend...yay, new stuff for a change.

Same here. Walmart did have the oddball Matchbox "Lesney Edition", which I've never seen at Walmart + handful of new Johnny Lightning, but that was it.

I saw a random Delivery Series '56 Ford at TRU the other day. I saw the card and I was like "The hell? This store doesn't carry this!" Bought it anyway.

Next thing I need to lay down: TRU is having a small sale on certain hot wheels.

Hot Ones and Team Hot Wheels, were $2.98, now $2.17.
Boulevards, were $3.92, now $2.98.

mainlines are still $1.49.

Probably isn't in the states, but the weekly sale is sure active in the GTA. Got it, Harry?

My local TRU has a sale on an off. It's buy one, get one 50% off; and that applies to all Hot Wheels products they carry.

At first, yeah. In fact I had such a difficult time finding one, I resorted to getting one from e-Bay. Since then, I've seen it numerous times. The White version though, I've never seen.

Tell us Jarrod, how do you use pencils upside down? Don't you just end up erasing everything?

At first, yeah. In fact I had such a difficult time finding one, I resorted to getting one from e-Bay. Since then, I've seen it numerous times. The White version though, I've never seen.

If you guys need these, I can get them. My local Fry's grocery stores (Kroger company) have TONS of them. Just depends on if you want the all black base version of the white one. I have one.

Also, just bought a car off eBay and probably over paid but it's the first time I've seen it on there and it was reasonable so I snagged it up.

P.S. I had a bittersweet discovery just now. When I first started buying Hot Wheels, one of my earliest purchases were Matchbox Lesney Edition(those that comes with throwback retail box) '69 DeVille. I was just putting away the Lesney Edition Volvo I got today and ran into the DeVille.

Car looks so cool, I got online to see about buying another one, so I can open one up. It's current going rate is $15~$20. Sweet. I guess I won't be buying another one.

Yeah it's a rip off of the Toyota Supra. But it's not a close to the real car as the 24/seven is to the FD RX-7, so I don't really care for it. I saw one of these at the meet on Friday but passed it up:

I see your plan to stop collection has been going just swimmingly.

Edit: Been meaning to post these two cars for a while now.

I, just like the rest of you, do not particularly care for Hot Wheels originals or fantasy cars.
However, when done properly, the can actually look quite good. Just like the Super Blitzen and Amazoom I posted earlier.
These cars are clearly of that kind. I really like the design element on the front; simple but very attractive.

I found the Lotus colored one at the local flea market, but paid like $7 for the Gulf colored one as soon as I found out it existed.

P.S. Cano, your Super TH Hot Bird is EXPENSIVE! I want one, but not for $30+

Edit2: Actually, if anybody else wants that NSX, or if there was still time to back out of it, I think I'd rather go for another Tomica Limited(they aren't that much more). If you wyvern already got it, nobody else wants it, I'd gladly take it.

I'll take that NSX off your hands. If I were you, wyvern, I would've grabbed that NSX even if I didn't need it. There's always someone who'll pay $5 for it.
