*ahem* Thank you, Canadian Jason.

:P

I got another one of those cars I've been after for awhile.

This car makes me a bit happy. :)

It's that RLC thing(Red Line Club?). I have one more RLC car, that Ford truck with dirtbikes in the backTexas Drive 'Em(just remembered). One of my prized cars. :embarrassed:
What year?
I think it's about a year old. I've been wanting one since Jason posted info about it right around when it was coming out.

There's another nice one coming up in about......20 days. Why Mattel feels the need to post the cars so far in advance is beyond me.

Here's what I did last night. (excuse the misaligned Nissan's, ran out of tape need to get more)

Oh, and the PP Celica's fit perfect. Like, no space for them to move around at all. :P

Well..since I posted that link with only a couple minutes before I had to leave for work, I couldn't buy it. :banghead: All the silver and white CLK-GTRs are gone. :( But there is a black one and the silver Carrera GT is still there.

Edit: About to order the silver Carrera GT and CLK-GTR Roadster in black. (Kinda wish I could have got the silver CLK)

Edit2: Somehow my 🤬 card isn't accepted!? Argh!

You have a credit card? I use my bank account.

Hey guys, I got the latest 24 Ours, and because it was the only one at the store, I wasn't sure if the lack of a border on the logo is an error or not. Normally the Hot Wheels logo is a stylized flame "swoosh" with text inside, but this doesn't have it. Is this an error or have you seen them like this?

Confirmed Normal. Resume day.

I like how it looks. Hmmm..... some JDM goodness in there.

Unsure why there are Focus and Fiestas in there though.

I'm using my debit card and I have no other card to use. :indiff:

Just says:
The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number.

You're supposed to connect your bank account to your paypal account. Then Paypal needs about a week to verify your address and account. This way sellers on eBay know you're a legit buyer with a real address (hence verified). You can then transfer funds from your bank to your paypal account which also takes a week. I'd have about $100-200 in the paypal in case you need to use it right away. If you have credit that's different.

Are you trying to use a VISA Debit?

Guess I'll be losing out on this sale since it's ending soon.

Another day... :indiff: Curse online shopping...

Edit: Unless someone can buy it and I'll send money once my PayPal account is verified. :D

Thanks, I could share some my favorites at a later time, I'm in the midst of a move and my cars are 90 miles away at the moment. :) I've got more Euro/JDM classics than I would have ever realized as a kid, like an SA RX-7, Ford RS200, Z31 300ZX, etc. Of course those cars are the same age as me, not exactly classic when they and I were both ~10 years old.

Hey man, nice to see you're still around. I got folded back here from ForzaPlanet. :)

Yeah, after I met my fiancée I already started buying the occasional car again. She likes to get them for me, it's a way we can share automotive enthusiasm together. Also looking at Hot Wheels gives me something to do in WalMart while she shops for gardening stuff a couple rows over. Mattel makes some really cool stuff today, like Datsun 510 racers and Porsche 914s. I've also seen a Caterham 7.

Ahhh, welcome to the thread :D. Glad you got back into collecting HWs and MBs again. And yes, these 1:64s can get addicting as well, especially they have alot of cars we were looking for ever since!

AOS-
I am awesome. And the world should know.

Congrats to the people who made this thread what it is! It took a lot of posts to accomplish this, especially R1600 and his 2400 posts.

Cheers, buddy.
:P

So I see Andy :P:lol:.

And I'm quite shocked that this is part of the top ten searches about Hot Wheels on google! And this merge with ForzaPlanet also got more included in the group.

Congrats to Jason, and the thread founder SVX! :D:tup:

And yeah, can't forget A6's quotes on not collecting anymore.

Spacegoat
For (as AOS said) a racing game forum. That is incredible.

Not to mention Shinji and his (almost) 2000 posts about not collecting. :dopey:

👍

@R1600: Love the JDM and US Tuners (Focus and Fiesta) shelves. I'm quite jelly of some of those cars. Seems also you got some of my older EK4 Civic Sis, Miatas and a few others in your collection.

And is that a Silver Nissan 350Z with the PR5 wheels on it?! Looks nice, is it a 2004 or a 2005 First Editions? Gotta get one of those.

Unsure why there are Focus and Fiestas in there though.
I also have Ford Falcons (XB & Race Car) just no room for them yet.

You can then transfer funds from your bank to your paypal account which also takes a week. I'd have about $100-200 in the paypal in case you need to use it right away. If you have credit that's different.
Not necessary. You can do instant transfers from your account. All you have to do is set up the routing & account numbers through paypal.

Yeah. The only other release of that car is crappy and I have no intentions on buying it, so that'll be the only one of that casting that I buy.

Tell me about it. The casting is slightly awkward in proportions and those police tampos only make it look worse. Perhaps it's the horizontal design of them.

This thread has come a long way in less than two years.
This was my first post - and yes, that was less than two years ago, when the thread had just topped 2000 posts; we've spammed it no end, haven't we - adding over 14,000 posts since then.
Hi Guys!...............................
Cheers!
H.

Time to print it out as a coffee-table book? :D

Nice work, SVX. :tup;
When I first came on here, there weren't many of us - Cano spoke to me right away and Andy immediately critiqued my Reventon. Frostyboys was always around. So were Ryou, DrivingPark, a6m5, Apok, RACECAR, Robin and DiabolicWyvern, and of course the venerable SVX always present, always overseeing the thread. It's been a great two years - and definitely a 'thank you' to all who consistently contributed pics and stories, since then, and made the thread what it is today. 👍

*ahem* Thank you, Canadian Jason.

:P

When the Ninja strikes, his blows are deadly . . . :scared:

(annoying pic of hot car)

This car makes me a bit happy. :)

Ah! The simple joys of NOT collecting.

That tail light detail and hood work is amazing.

Absolutely. Notice that the package says for "For the Adult Collector". That makes me a bit happy. ;)

Dear god no... I gave all mine to nephews and cousins and stuff had buckets full plus my dad had a room fool of unopened dating back to the 80s

Get over there and recover them. I'm sure they've lost interest and they're probably shoved in some dark corner of the attic.
Then send then all to the Nessy Ford Clinic, where they will be suitably distributed (I hope) among the DVAs here. :)

Lol dude I hate your collection. I mean, I don't hate it, but GOT DAMMIT get some variety in there, for 🤬 sake

I still have a bunch in a display cabinet that I need to make a display for.

That is variety, not many people collect almost every variation of a single car.

Yeah I know not everyone falls for variations and all that, but how about some trucks or tractors or old cars for a change or something like that?

Also, you REALLY need to put your customs in there. I do, too. I want to have a cabinet made just for my custom/restos.

I have the foam board to make two more displays, I just need to buy the frames and get off my lazy butt and make them. I have a bunch of trucks, they won't fit with the current dimensions of each pocket in the display. Need to make a "trucks only" display with larger dimensions. I also have a bunch of muscle cars with rubber tires that need space too...

I have 2 38L totes to hold more loose cars, but at the rate I acquire cars, I'm going to have to really cram them this time.

Also: Black 959 (with LW) for $2.95. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hot-Wheels-...65140?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item3a7e8ce174

Make an offer for $1.20. If you make more offers, he's more inclined to accept them. His Greenlights at at $7 but he accepted $3.50 from me, so you can try pushing that even lower.

Note his relatively cheap shipping too.

I'm still here, btw - I've never left. I mostly just read the thread nowadays because I'm usually only able to post good pictures of my purchases twice a year. :P I still have yet to start buying things from eBay, as much as I'd like to. But I'm still collecting and reading up on everyone else's collections.

I have noticed, as I've stared at that package quite intently since it's been posted. The detail is amazingly well done.

Those RLC cars are cool. I wonder what's this upcoming model Jason was talking about....... Have you seen my Texas Drive 'Em? I think I spent something like $40 or close to it, but I had to have it!
Unsure why there are Focus and Fiestas in there though.
That's OK.

His focus on the selection makes him a unique collector, which adds variety to the types of collectors we have here. I hope I'm making sense. :D
Ah! The simple joys of NOT collecting.
Oh, yeah. If I still collected, I'd have obtained that car looong ago, maybe even as early as last Friday! :P

I just finished watching a five minute video of the Texas Ride 'Em on YouTube not long ago. Everything from the painted 'FORD' on the back of the tail gate to the dirt bikes looks great.
