I once watched Initial D.
Apart from the one time a guy went: 'HIIIIIGH SPEEEEDU DORIFTO!!!!' it was very boring to be honest.

Cano
Hyper face palm. Don't watch that trash. Also stick to english, dear god

Lo Siento mi amigo Cano, my Spanish is kinda rusty. Been awhile when I spoke and/or wrote in Espanol.:P

And Initial D rocks!!!! I caught a few episodes on YouTube long ago and I had a blast watching it. Now I gotta catch up on it soon. Plus getting my hands on them Initial D cars.👍

EDIT: Never mind, I read the previous post. :P

And Initial D and Wangan Midnight are NOT TRASH. I even wish for an anime of The Circuit Wolf, Countach and Kanojo no Carrera...

Story writing-wise, the level of ID and WM are pretty down there. Countach is just about as subpar. The biggest gripe I have with these stories is that the characters are shallow and barely develop into something of great impact. Cars are cool and all, but at the end of the day, it's still a fictional story, and making the story fruitful and meaningful matters more than a pretty drawing of a car going sideways.

What I don't like about WM is that all I see are drag races about an uber-powerful Nissan S30Z and not really show the importance of driver skill. It's like how a car must be powerful to win the competition, and that's all...

And that's where Initial D comes in. Initial D makes it a point to emphasize driver skill, especially on a dangerous mountain pass. Though it tends to have too much technical jargon.

I haven't seen a proper race in the Kanojo no Carrera. All I see are just driver interactions and short runs. And not to mention some nudity present.

Good luck finding Initial D cars. Especially Takumi's AE86 Trueno. Tomica will be releasing another one in September.

So a guy at the local meets has a Tomica Limited Toyota 2000GT and a 60's Mazda Cosmo, both still in the box and he wants $20 each. I keep passing on them because I can't spend that much on diecast, but anyone here interested?

I remember buying mine on eBay for $13. $20 local is okay if you calculate in shipping with $13, but $20 for us in this situation may not be the best bang for our buck.

I know pretty much nothing about Kyosho's but I do know $13 is a freakin steal. Congrats. 👍

That's what a few of you say, but I think Kyoshos don't go for exceedingly high prices... considering how you can get a fair bit of Kyoshos for around $15, I'd say 13 isn't that big of a steal. Beads depend on the model itself, but I found Beads for $13 each so that's saying something.

Again with the not getting a joke.

Well, maybe I should have worded it a bit better. Just based it off of the Kyosho's I see on eBay, the majority of which are above $15.

Don't worry about Andy, Jason. That joke was pretty lame. When I make jokes, it's so funny it makes me chuckle. hehehe....

Shipment today:

I think I have couple of Initial D comics. They are pretty good. Don't really care much for the anime version, Chinese or Taiwanese(I forget) live action version was OK. Wangan Midnight, I'm not familiar with. "Yoroshiku Mechadoc", that's probably my favorite racing comic(never seen the anime).
The Circuit Wolf
 First racing comic I ever read. It's right up there with the 'Yoroshiku' for me. 👍

Thanks Jarrod! $13.50 for the Celica XX(aka Supra) from the "Yoroshiku Mechadoc" comic series. Just a bit later, I sniped a 240ZG from the same seller for $11.50. :P

I'll pass. Thanks for offering though. 👍

These are brand new, and still scarce at the moment. I think the only handful that's sold on eBay so far has gone for about double of what I paid. I got mine cheap, because: 1) Seller didn't put the comic book title in the item title. 2) No box. :grumpy:

Man why you gotta be such a biter for, huh? Buying Cudas just because I did? You don't feel good about yourself now? :P

No, all those cars came from one seller, suprakid94 on TTP. Funny thing, what made me put the order together was actually the Javelin. I don't even like, or collect Javelins.

I have copied you on two recent purchases though: Ferrari 156 and .......................

Yeah, I'll need all the luck in the world finding those Initial D cars. Whenever I get a chance, I'll check flea markets or stores that are stuck in time and see what they have. Because online, I gonna check for the lowest price or a seller who don't know their value. These cars mean $$$$$!

Here's hoping that a good soul will sell Initial D cars to you at a very friendly price.

Good night! Ja, oyasumi! :D

I was in a bidding war on ebay just recently with one of these, 100 bidders, my final bid 600$, still lost, i was so pissed, also great model, but wrong thread. Also that shot would be better if you had a 1:43 ebbro model beside it, or a 1:24 Aoshima.
